- Wood-filled filament is something I've been wanting to print with for a while, so recently I gave it a shot. It turned out to be one of the more challenging filaments to work with, but it also inspired me to try post-processing to bring out its true potential.

Thanks for all the 5m videos. Bought one because of you and haven't been disappointed.
I have a roll of Wood filament but have been reluctant to use it because how rough it is. I even have a P1P with a hardened steel .6 nozzle
I have a question - have you tried the FlashForge flexible PLA filament on the Adventurer 5M yet?
I have a spool but I couldn't get any successful prints :(
Using a 0.6mm nozzle is okay but the gear part seems to always ball up and can't pass from the gear into the nozzle.
I haven't tried flexible PLA. It's on my list of things to try.
Thanks for sharing your wins and losses
I feel like you should change the title to "My Adventure (see what I did there) with cheap no-name filament". :-)
All joking aside did you use the Inner/Outer/Inner wall ordering? That should have reduce some of the jankiness on the outer wall, but cheap filament is going to do what cheap filament is going to do.
I have used a lot of different filaments. The one wood PLA that worked the best so far was Eryone wood pla. The quality was much better than what you ended up with. I have printed wood pla on my sovol sv06, sv06 plus and my creality k1 and had no issues with a 0.4mm steel nozzle.
When I first got m y Finder back in the day I did some stuff with wood filament. I di the exact same Groot figure you showed. Mine came out a little cleaner than yours. The wife did a black wash over the figure to make the detail pop and painted the eyes, then just a light clear coat and was done, surprised how just the wash transformed the image.
The Pokémon is Sudowoodo :)
That's the name!
