When i was grabbing images I missed Pet Sematary and Sleepy Hollow! Pet Sematary would have gone in close friend and Sleepy Hollow probably in acquaintance. Ugh I also forgot Mothers Instinct! Geez! That one would have gone in stranger. Also in Son of Rosemary, Andy doesn't have hoof hands, they was claw-like hands.
With the year coming to an end, I just wanted to say that you’ve been my favorite YT discovery this year. Thank you for everything you do, Laura! Happy Holidays!
Loved that I found your channel! Found it through the AHS Delicate tv show series, you were one of the first to pop up when I was trying to find channels reviewing the show and have been subbed ever since!
Yeah I'm currently about halfway through the book! My main video will be for the 90s series and then I'll probably have a follow up video for the newer adaptation 😁
hi Laura! Started watching your videos this year and it's definitely been a highlight! I recently read "The Go-Between" by L.P. Hartley and then watched the 1971 movie with Julie Christie. Both are excellent! Highly recommend to add to your 2025 list :)
Delicate condition! This week I was searching through your channel for reviews on Bridget Jones Diary, intersting that you read them this year- maybe that means a future video?? 😃 I watched Me Before You yesterday and it made me want to read the books. Didn't realize they were a series
Both Bridget Jones videos will be up the end of December! I'll be releasing them back to back 😁 And I've heard about Me Before You but have never seen it, it was good?
@WhytheBookWins Nice! There's also the 4th Bridget Jones movie coming out in a few months. I'll watch even though the first movie was the best. I enjoyed Me Before You, they made it more rom-com than so serious considering what is about. But I'm OK with it.
For next year: If you like family historical dramas, I highly recommend something by James Michener's. "Hawaii" is a book and 1966 film starring Julie Andrews, that is pretty good. For a quicker read, there's "Tales of the South Pacific" which became the classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical "South Pacific." His books are a forgotten treasure, and the connected films are pretty good too.
Thanks for the review! John Irving is great. My favorite is A Widow for One Year. There was a movie that was based on a subplot in the book called The Door in the Floor, which was good. This book is a multi-generational family story. I've never read anything by Truman Capote other than In Cold Blood, which was and is a masterpiece. Although a few good movies have been made, it's not possible to top the book. I should read Breakfast at Tiffany's as it was written before Capote's peak. I'm still waiting on that book vs. movie for Christine as I loved both and I am a fan of John Carpenter and Stephen King. Ordinary People is a fantastic drama, the type of movie they don't make anymore. The 2009 film The Time Traveler's Wife was well done, never read the book. You know my thoughts on Thomas Harris. I'll have to check out some of the others--That's a lot of books for one year!
Yeah I've had multiple requests for In Cold Blood so I spoils do that at some point! And I definitely want to cover more Kohn Irving! Thanks for commenting 😀
It’s nice to hear a prayer for Owen Meany mentioned again in fact I am rereading it now but I need to hurry and finish because I still want to read a Christmas Carol, and God we trust all else pay cash and the best Christmas pageant ever all before Christmas
My 5 stars One summer in Savannah by terah shelton Harris Tales of the body thief by Anne rice book 4 in the vampire chronicles Queen of the damned by Anne rice book 3 in the vampire chronicles Miss memory lane by colton Haynes memoir The wild truth by carine mccandless memoir Her too by bonnie kistler Be my baby by ronnie spector memoir The violence by delilah s dawson The neighbor favor by Kristina forest Good luck with that by kristan Higgins The maid by nita prose Clytemnestra by constanza casanti Summer on the bluffs by sunny hostin Lizzie Blake's best mistake by mazey eddings
Oooo that's so tough and I can't pick just one! But some favorites are East of Eden, Sometimes a Great Notion, Misery, The Color Purple, We Were the Mulvaneys, Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, Beloved, and One Hundred Years of Solitude is recent but after a second read I could see myself including that on my all time favorites list as well.

Awesome, thank you so much!
Totally Agree with Wicked! I put the book in enemy category.
That's a lot of reading for one year! - Can we look forward to your verdict of King's 'The Stand' (both TV series) next year?
Yeah I'm currently about halfway through the book! My main video will be for the 90s series and then I'll probably have a follow up video for the newer adaptation 😁
@@WhytheBookWins ..... Great. I recently re-watched the 90s version - I had forgotten that it’s as camp as a row of tents.

Thanks for the request! I've seen South Pacific but it has been a really long time.

Wow that's amazing. And you have time for editing. You're awesome 👍
Thank you ☺️
This was an excellent watch!
Thanks!!
You keep coming up with cool tier ranking themes. My first video from your channel was Nightmare Alley. I guess you didn't do in 2024.
Yeah that was an early video of mine from back when the movie came out!
My # one for me “ Horton hears a who”. Read to my 4 year old nephew
It’s nice to hear a prayer for Owen Meany mentioned again in fact I am rereading it now but I need to hurry and finish because I still want to read a Christmas Carol, and God we trust all else pay cash and the best Christmas pageant ever all before Christmas
Thanks again for that recommendation! Happy reading and merry Christmas ☺️
Josh Brolin’s memoir sounds like when I read Diane Keaton’s who I love but her book needed further editing. It was a mess of random tales.
Now I want to read hers to compare haha
I just had a great idea for an easy Halloween costume: Andy from Son of Rosemary using his powers to conceal his true appearance!
😆
Do a tier about Stephen king adaptations you’ve covered
I already did just a couple weeks ago!
She diid a Stephen King book ranking. That was a great video! 😊
I meant to say that she did a movie ranking.
My 5 stars

Tales of the body thief by Anne rice book 4 in the vampire chronicles
Queen of the damned by Anne rice book 3 in the vampire chronicles
Miss memory lane by colton Haynes memoir
The wild truth by carine mccandless memoir

Let’s get a book vs movie for Slaughterhouse-Five!
Ooo yeah that is a great suggestion!
@@WhytheBookWins lots of great subject matter to tackle from Vonnegut’s work!
❤

Impressive list and video! 🤩 📚📙📚📘📗 What's your favorite book of all time?
