A great list :) and now that I am 2 years into collecting and a full year of backed kickstarters, it is a lot of fun when I have a lot of the decks in your favs for the year :)
@@TheCardGuyReviews those previous lists helped me get started prioritizing decks for my collecting, and really did a number on the wallet lol, I’ve slowed down now since catching up and hitting around 600 unique decks :P
Agree with "Sideshow" 100% and, had I not randomly received the "Fantasma" decks in trade, I might not have known about them at all. *I really have to thank the person I trade with for that. :) certainly will have to check out some of these other decks that had slipped past me so far.
what an incredible list, thanks for sharing! i really have my eyes on The Cursed of the Crooked, Incubo, and Fantasma. i'll see if i can get my hands on them :D
Just found your video and man let me say I’m in awe. I watched your 2022 version and I really want those shogun playing cards but I can’t find them anywhere. But great picks here overall as well. Also, I subscribed due to your knowledge of finding and collecting decks. I’m gonna try and find your decks so I can have them in my collection.
Great list indeed. Have gotten most of these decks myself and agree they are all winners. I wish I could have gotten the two decks from Marianne Larson. Her artwork is really amazing but her prices have held me back from purchase, unfortunately.
Can't wait to see Golden Rule Patrons' Edition on next year's list proper lol Love the Prohibition shoutout, probably t11's best alongside Contraband. They HAVE to do more original stuff. Did Riffle Shuffle improve on its boxes? That Cross tuck looks so much sturdier than some of their past work. Is Jocu really pronounced 'Yo-coo' and not 'Jaw-coo' or 'Joe-coo'? My own faves are Under the Moon, Golden Rule Players', Redemption V (Icons Celestial), Artist Playing Cards, Eye of Kukulkan, Journey to the West Monkey King, and coming at #1, imo surpassing everything else with ease, is Vivid Kingdoms.
Tuck on Cross probably is a little sturdier than some of the others, but not a huge difference to be honest. Jocu - I swear I found something on their website making it clear that it’s pronounced yo-coo. Can’t find it now but I’m PRETTY sure it’s right! Love Vivid Kingdoms as well, but it’s a 2022 deck - made my list last year!
It's so challenging to reconcile how everyone defines a year in playing card production. I've always stuck to the year in which the project is fulfilled, and this is a perfect example of how that could be messy, as it was at the end/beginning of 2022/2023. Omar has Vivid as his top of 2023 lol WTV, the point is it's a really good deck and deserves a spot on these lists. @@TheCardGuyReviews
Tis a great deck for sure! Like I said, was on my list last year. But for sure Vivid Kingdoms in particular is tough because the fulfillment was SO spread out! First ones shipped in September 2022, and the last few took until around April to go out. I was lucky enough to get mine in 2022, and I decided my personal rule would be when I got my OWN decks rather than trying to draw a line for fulfillment as a whole! Actually had a convo with someone about this and it's why Lorenzo's Madame Laveau deck won't be a consideration until 2024.
Great video but a bit disappointing for not seeing any Kings Wild Project decks. Jackson has released so many nice decks in 2023 including Two Towers. I think at least KWP honored a spot on the list.
Not an accident that Jackson remains one of the most popular anywhere! This year for me there wasn’t anything that quite grabbed me to the level of this list unfortunately. My personal fave for this year was Two Towers, though - especially as a big LotR fan!
Yay! Love these yearly roundup vids
I love making them! So hard to distill a list, but so much fun!

Go check out some of the older lists - should be some fun ones to chase down from the past!

May I help for Incubo and Fantasma? 🙂
Thank you Tim! Awesome video!
Great picks for your 2023 favourites!
Thanks for making such a great video
Great list! So many talented artists with unique styles and execution.
Agreed! That diversity is what keeps drawing me back again and again!
Been waiting for this video. Always enjoy them but best of the year lists are my fav
Some of my favorite to put together too!

Which deck(s) are you looking for in particular?
@@TheCardGuyReviews the shogun rising sun, your rattler gorge playing cards, fantasma, and 52 plus
That Fantasma deck caught me off guard. That UV ink is quite the gimmick.
Crazy, isn’t it?!?
Instantly ordered the Flea Circus:)

Oh man, I did not know about the portfolio 52 Nazo Nazo playing cards kickstarter. Is there any way I could still get them?
