This just shows that price doesn’t always equal quality or value. Loved the video. It would be cool to see you guys do one with different kickstarter decks from a specific year. Love the card videos, love the website! Keep up the good work!
art of play is such a unique shop/ channel! ive been searching for items that they display for YEARS and now finely someone has my dream site for buying cards!!! 100%
I’ve bought 12 or so decks in the past from Art of Play and have watched a few videos you’ve done but didn’t know you ARE Art of Play. Love the decks, love the cardistry!
I love the legends collab with L'objet. It's so nice to see them work with artist and creators that really know what they're doing and making moves with these huge fashion brands
This video was so relaxing. I love looking at cards and find myself just looking at the art of play website just to enjoy the art work. I treated myself to a deck earlier in the year finally and I’m glad I did. Great video!!!
Hard to pick just one deck, but if we can combine the best attributes together, we would have an epic deck. Keep up the good work. You guys are awesome!
Super fun to watch your simultaneous reactions especially since you agreed on all of them at the same time. Looks like the winners were Versace and L'Object for handling. Those L'Object decks are super cool. Going to look them up now.
Hell yeah make those shirts, I always buy your D&D/AOP shirts and hats going way back. I think my first shirt was probably the red 52 leagues under the sea or the orange ace Fulton shirt it’s been a long time but I still own them all the screen printing on all your shirts are top notch made to last.
I would LOVE to have an Art of Play shirt like the one you have on! Please have them made. (And receiving any one of the free decks would be nice too. 😉)
good to see some real quality decks showed up in these. I've see so many fashion brands just throw their name on cheap crap that that's what I expected from most of these anyway.
wowww. Thanks for reviewing all this branded deck. Never knew brand like Gucci, versace made their own card. But I think I would for Hermes for the card, then packaging for Gucci
This was a crazy fun episode! I recently found legends printed cards at Alcatraz when we visited SF! I was so pumped they handled well. Also, please definitely bring in those art of play shirts and five panel ebbets fields caps 🎉
It is interesting to see what brands are interested in providing a usable off brand product (Gucci makes bags not cards) and put the time and effort into maintaining the quality in whatever they make, and which brands just want to sell branded props. It takes no time to find what publishers/printers produce quality playing cards, and yet some of these brands couldn't be bothered. However, it is inspiring to see some brands (Off-White .. sort of .., Versace, L'objet) that do take the time to make sure that their name is only on a good product. Anyone that thinks AoP/D&D cards are too expensive doesn't understand the reputation that comes with that brand. I always know that what I get from them (not just cards) will be quality, and for that quality the charge a reasonable price. Excellent humble brag video. Additionally, I love how real and human these guys are. They are in the business of playing, like real world George and Fred from Harry Potter. They are just out there trying to help folks play more and that is awesome. Thanks!
I love watching this show, and I love seeing how just because a deck is way more expensive, it does not mean they are better. Always look forward to watching new episodes...keep up the great work!!
I think my favorite is the L'objet deck. They look absolutely stunning comparing to other decks in this video. Thank you for reviewing these luxury decks.
I can't believe I just watched dan and dave doing card reviews, would love to see more such as this one or doing other stuff like history of playing cards and learning other people's moves, I am happy nonetheless
I personally have always been a big fan of your decks. I appreciate the fact that you cater both to the collectors and cardist. As far as price point is concerned if you want quality and luxury then you pay for what get. Awesome 👏🏽 thank you Buck twins 🍻
This was an awesome umboxing video. Was great watching all those decks being opened, seeing the packaging, presentation and everything. Super fun. I'm definitely going to be looking into getting that last deck. That thing was incredible! Thanks for the great video! Looking forward to seeing more from you guys! Keep up the solid work!
Of all the decks you unboxed, the last one was my favorite. Best design, best price and you guys obviously loved them. Best bang for the buck, for sure. Excellent videos, guys! Very entertaining. 😊
That was as a great concept executed beautifully. Honest and thoughtful reviews and comparisons. Really makes you question what is value. Thanks guys, really enjoyed it.
I’m actually a card collector enthusiast for the ones I like (more on aesthetic wise vs than rare ones) and I could say my favorite one is from Hermes (the artsy deck) and the L’objet ones. 💖
Fun fact, the printer that these brands use is Cartamundi, I recall talking to Jirs about this when he had a metting with LV about printing the decks in the B9 finish :)
Good show. Shocking that those big name brands can sell cards at those prices just as a vanity product with their name. Only the last one looked even close to worthwhile in terms of value. Fun to watch. Thx.
Absolutely love your cards. I'm just starting out learning some magic but I do collect cards. I love the history of playing cards and yes if you know anything about cards you can tell Dan and Dave don't put out ordinary decks. You get what you pay for.
Fun video but I can't help but imagine all the great decks that could have been purchased from you guys for that amount of money! I love SO MANY of your creations. Thanks for doing what you do! It was the Ultimate Deck that got me hooked on card collecting.
This was such a great review! As a graphic designer it was so fun to see all the packaging and printing details. I'm also so chuffed that L'objet was a hit! I just love their stuff.
Even though the cards weren't great I liked the Gucci brand ones. The presentation was really nice and the little zip up card case is really cool. This was a really cool video idea and it would be cool to see more super expensive cards in the future. Thanks guys.
Absolutely agree on the L'Object cards. These are amazing and fairly priced. I love the pip cards and the face cards. It will be hard to distinguish the various cards in hand. But they are beautiful. I'll order the L'Object cards after I order the Cabinetarium cards!
There were some amazing cards in there and some that missed the mark a bit. But I LOVE the Versace and the L'objet. Your Cabinetarium ranks right up in the top three though, absolutely. My wife prefers the L'objet over the Versace. This sort of thing is why I am a loyal Art of Play customer. You guys really show that quality is important to you, and add in fun into everything. Thanks for everything Dan and Dave!
I looooove the setup it looks so homey. Art of Play decks aren’t exactly cheap but they’re also not extravagant for the quality they provide. Also, I’m willing to pay for the sheer variety of fun that is released year after year. I especially look forward to the mystery decks at the end of the year.
Loved seeing you guys open up those fabulous designer decks. I moved recently out of NYC and I miss going into some of those stores you featured!! Never bought much, but fun to look!! Bob Siciliano.
So. Much. Fun!! Thank you for sharing and showing! I might order some and L'Objet is definitely the most beautiful deck and the Gucci zip pouch is GORGEOUS!!!
Love this show, I am very happy to see you both back in making regular content. Like I guess for many others, you were my biggest insipration back in the day when I started to do card tricks and cardistry so I am forever gratefull and wish you all the best, thank you! :)
Love your store. Can’t tell you how many puzzles I’ve bought (not jigsaws) I look forward to monthly emails with new puzzles. Now that I know you are on u tube, I’ll be an avid follower. Keep up the good work. You have super products.
@@Artofplay I love the curiosity box puzzles, sliding box puzzles, matchbox puzzles, cruiser puzzle, Yosemite puzzles, iron heart puzzle, pretty much any thinking puzzle amuses (until it doesn’t lol). Keep doing what you’re doing!

I love the leather box of the Gucci cards
I'd love to win! I've never actually had a regular deck of cards. I only ever had an old miniature key-chain version!
When are the winners chosen
Dan: almost dies after eating a pepper*
Also Dan: stars doing insane cardistry while he tries not to die*
Dan specialises in spicy Cardistry 🔥
This just shows that price doesn’t always equal quality or value. Loved the video. It would be cool to see you guys do one with different kickstarter decks from a specific year. Love the card videos, love the website! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! We'll keep it up, for sure!
This is the last playing cards review I genuinely enjoyed! Looking back it was truly fascinating! Thanks again D&D!
art of play is such a unique shop/ channel! ive been searching for items that they display for YEARS and now finely someone has my dream site for buying cards!!! 100%
This channel has some good potential for the future! You guys are doing great on it.❤
Thank you!
Pepper was so hot bro forgot his own move
My family doesn’t get why I buy cards from you guys. It’s art, it’s time and effort, it’s attention to detail. I’m a happy customer ❤❤❤
Great quality and great card designs is why I like their brand
So interesting. I must admit, wasn't sure 30 mins of unboxing cards would hold attention, but it certainly does (and your decks ARE better).
Thanks for watching!
I’ve bought 12 or so decks in the past from Art of Play and have watched a few videos you’ve done but didn’t know you ARE Art of Play. Love the decks, love the cardistry!
That Gucci case would be a nice thing to have honestly
You forgot the Drew House deck, which Legends made so the deck will feel great! :) Thank you for the shout out with the L'objet deck!
I always love looking at cards, the art can get so interesting and it's neat to see how artists/companies design them
I love the legends collab with L'objet. It's so nice to see them work with artist and creators that really know what they're doing and making moves with these huge fashion brands
Hope you guys don't stop this segment its so fun to watch.
More like this on the way!
You definitely need to make a luxury package double deck set: one is Dan the other Dave... and fix all the problems these decks had!
Super fun video! About the decks, I didn’t like any one of them. Even though some aren’t bad, they mostly aren’t creative enough.
Wow! the production quality of this channel is amazing, you definetly deserve a bigger audience, continue the good work
Thanks so much

You guys have the best job ever. This was really fun to watch.
The "L'objet" was probably my favourite; loved the packaging and art on the cards *chef's kiss*
Hell yeah make those shirts, I always buy your D&D/AOP shirts and hats going way back. Thanks so much. You've got some OG's in your collection. We're giving away an AoP shirt in our newest episode too
I would LOVE to have an Art of Play shirt like the one you have on! Please have them made. (And receiving any one of the free decks would be nice too. 😉)
In our newest episode, we're giving away an Art of Play shirt
You might not know it or not, but spitting that pepper out saved you a world of discomfort. Good on you mate!
Great reviews, had so much fun watching! Can’t wait to see what’s next
This is by far one of my favorite episodes! I like how you talk about the design aspect of each deck. Please do more of this design review!
We have more episodes like this in the pipeline! Cheers
good to see some real quality decks showed up in these. I've see so many fashion brands just throw their name on cheap crap that that's what I expected from most of these anyway.
Last deck is by far the best.
Thanks for supplying the card community with great quality decks!
That Gucci deck purse/bag is amazing. You guys should make some deck purses with cool designs!
Great idea. I suppose this episode was partly research and development...
wowww. Thanks for reviewing all this branded deck. Never knew brand like Gucci, versace made their own card. But I think I would for Hermes for the card, then packaging for Gucci
Best part was “okay, I want to play with one. Such a genuine response 😂
The shirt has the number ‘52’ on the back and is a great reference to standard play, but ‘56’ is always a better card count out of the box!
Those Versace cards were definitely eye-catching, but the L'objet were my favorites.
Loved this video! You guys talk so calmy and I love it. Thanks for making content that makes people happy.
That's nice to hear. Thanks for watching
This was a crazy fun episode! I recently found legends printed cards at Alcatraz when we visited SF! I was so pumped they handled well.

Omg hahaha. Brenda and I couldn’t stop laughing. Great job guys.

The business of play - love that! Thanks for the thoughtful comment and kind words.
Really fun to watch. It’s good to know that fancy decks aren’t better than a standard deck of cards.

The Gucci deck was printed on Modiano playing cards! They make awesome cheap plastic poker cards ($7-$12 USD) - I use them all the time for games!
I personally have always been a big fan of your decks. I appreciate the fact that you cater both to the collectors and cardist. As far as price point is concerned if you want quality and luxury then you pay for what get. Awesome 👏🏽 thank you Buck twins 🍻
I actually think and different deck for each of you guys is a great idea.
I have those Eames cards and you're right you shouldn't have had them next to the other ones lol 😆
That last deck is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Clearly Legends did a great job with that last ones. Very interesting episode guys, keep them coming!
Card Collecting has truly become a wonderful obession! I so love the craftsmanship!!
That L'objet deck is awesome! Definitely my favorite. I agree that the plastic deck tray and that Gucci leather card pouch is very nice touch.
We're a sucker for some good packaging, and those details were great.

I loved this! I watched it again with my husband. He said you two are the Bob and Doug Mackenzie of cards minus ending your sentences with “eh”.
I’m actually a card collector enthusiast for the ones I like (more on aesthetic wise vs than rare ones) and I could say my favorite one is from Hermes (the artsy deck) and the L’objet ones. 💖
I am so into the content, please don't stop.
Just wanna watch more of this.
We're here to stay!
This was so interesting! The OG reviewing the new jacks. Gripping! ❤
i know the versace cards look really busy, but they're definitely my favorite design of all the luxury cards
Fun fact, the printer that these brands use is Cartamundi, I recall talking to Jirs about this when he had a metting with LV about printing the decks in the B9 finish :)
Omg I love the Hermes one!!! 😱
The little zipped case is really awesome.
That last deck really looks amazing! Definitely my favorite by a huge margin!
There's something incredibly anxiety-inducing about a super-thick deck of cards. Those YSLs are freaking me out...
Loved the Hermes deck. The orange colour is amazing
Fun video but I can't help but imagine all the great decks that could have been purchased from you guys for that amount of money! I love SO MANY of your creations. Thanks for doing what you do! It was the Ultimate Deck that got me hooked on card collecting.
Thanks! The Ultimate Deck remains one of our favourites even after over a decade of them releasing.
good on l'objet! ...only co. that considered one might actually want to USE the cards! (and the art is beautiful!!)
This was such a great review! As a graphic designer it was so fun to see all the packaging and printing details. I'm also so chuffed that L'objet was a hit! I just love their stuff.
The packaging alone was a fun unboxing experience. L'Objet has so much great stuff
Love the channel, been buying multiple mystery decks for two years now and always get blown away by the decks, keep it up lads! :)
Appreciate the support!
Even though the cards weren't great I liked the Gucci brand ones. The presentation was really nice and the little zip up card case is really cool. This was a really cool video idea and it would be cool to see more super expensive cards in the future. Thanks guys.
The case really won us over. There might just have to be a part 2 in the future.
I like those moments of disappointment that keep adding up to comedy gold.
'its just plain paper!?' 😂
Off white would be my favorite...
Absolutely agree on the L'Object cards. These are amazing and fairly priced. I love the pip cards and the face cards. It will be hard to distinguish the various cards in hand. But they are beautiful. I'll order the L'Object cards after I order the Cabinetarium cards!
I'm not a flashy guy but those Versace cards were quite something to look at. Very striking.
Those L'OBJET cards are BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for these reviews, I loved this episode!
Amazing cards! Too expensive to buy But Great to See them here🎉☺️

Thank you. Glad we can inspire more play! As Roald Dahl said - life is more fun if you play games.
Loved the last deck, and it was cool to see all of the packaging that fancy brands do
This was a fun episode for research 🤓
Thanks for this. Very interesting and agree that last deck wins.
There were some amazing cards in there and some that missed the mark a bit. But I LOVE the Versace and the L'objet. Your Cabinetarium ranks right up in the top three though, absolutely. This video was so much fun to watch. I definitely would love to see more videos like this. My favorite deck had to be The L'objet's!
We have more ideas like this to come!
The tray was really cool. Kind of reminds me of old school ash tray. Definitely thought the last deck was sick and might be worth the price.
L'objet knocked it out the park with the packaging and deck
We need the Dan vs. Dave decks to become a reality!
More importantly, which one would you be getting?
@@Artofplay Both!!

Great video! The L’Objet deck is so fun. Favorite playing card deck for me: Poker Deck of the Drowning World. It’s pure magic.
The L’Object decks were my favourite for sure! Super sweet designs and hectic finish :)
L'Objet and Legends knocked it out the park with that deck
@@Artofplay Absolutely! :)
