For me, Moro's initial design pre-transformation was so cool. It was refreshing (for the time being) to have a villain that didn't resemble a random space alien. He just looked like a raggedy old goat and I dig that.

Same, and while his design when absorbing 73 isn't bad it's definitely a downgrade from his previous look, he looks generic when absorbing that guy.

1 thing I like about moro arc: yamcha never got yamcha'd when fighting.

1 thing I like: This arc had weight on the next one.
For me, no order:
1. Seeing Yardrat in all its glory, and generally keeping focus on new U7 lore (still want multiverse exploration but I can wait).
2. Bringing back Z's better aspects and putting them in Super (blood, classic locations, a midboss meat head like Saganbo to have fun with, etc.).
3. Superb use of Buu (the best Buu has ever been imo). Including Uub.
4. Vegeta's growth as a character, separate from Goku.
5. Spirit fission.
6. This is the arc Goku mastered UI, and it was done well.
7. Moro flipping spirit bombs and fusion against the heroes, plus his magic and intelligence...So just Moro in general.
8. Merus, Jaco, and the galactic patrol getting love and showing off.
9. Seven-three as a concept, and tying this arc to the next.
10. Side character usage. First real win for Chiaotzu, Yamcha fought, and Roshi is still back in the fight. Plus the new Z-team in the androids, Gohan, and Piccolo.
I'm interested to see how Goku will get stronger going forward. I want my boy Goku to be disgustingly powerful.

It only separated things that have been combined through absorption or fusion. It does *NOT* drain a person’s energy. It only drains energy if that energy was gained through absorption. Broly does not absorb energy. So Forced Spirit Fission would be useless against Broly. You should know this Geekdom.

I don't understand why everyone thinks spirit fission is going to be some kind of game changer. It was tailor made by Toyo to counter Moro because it separates all of the spirit energy ~that was not originally his~. Against most opponents, they will only have their own energy to call upon so Vegeta will have nothing to separate from them.
It means that Vegeta will be the anti-fusion fighter going forwards. Enemies like Kefla or God Zamasu will be vulnerable to him. I'm hoping we get a 'Vegeta vs Kefla' moment in a future arc with the U6 crew, so Vegeta can showcase how to shut down fusion.
It’ll definitely be useful. He can also upgrade it if he continues his spirit training, and make it even more lethal.
He can split fusions and now has instant transmission which is actually a game changer

Toriyama and Toyotaro can create characters who can still be dangerous and a threat to the universe based on technique and abilities and not brute strength or raw power like Jiren and Broly.
Broly seems to rely on raw power more than jiren.
I loved that everyone besides Goku and Vegeta, got a chance to shine (especially my mans Yamcha). Goku and Vegeta's separate training, Moro busting his fellow convicts out of jail to ravage the galaxy, and the endgame against Moro were all lit.

Agreed. Nux Taku should add that to the list of "Biggest Flexes," for while people thought he wished for something to make him more powerful, the guy got minions because he was already so OP.
Then he powered up his minions and essentially made his own little army. Then by giving them power he was able to gain their trust and manipulate them easier. Man Moro was such a good villain.

great video, but honestly 73 looking like cell only makes sense, its Toriyama´s vision of Bio-Androids, if anything id be happy moro took that form cuz it was basically an introduction to the next arc which is what Super has been needing, continuity.
What i liked the most about this arc was the awareness in the writing, using magick to end the power creep, Vegeta's relationship with the namek peepoes and the yadrat techique which didn't allow fusions were perfecto.

chapter 59 was a turning point for the art and paneling for me[in a good way],some of the art[specifically ch.62,63,64,65,and 66] were absolutely stunning looking,plus the fight choreography was also his definite best,great video

Moro is a great villain, but he wasn't as successful as Zamasu
Moro was amazing definitely a top 3 villain. He’s super underrated too. I just wished they fleshed him out a little more. But zamasu is definitely the greatest. No villain had deeper ideals and beliefs. No villain had a plan as crazy and insane as his.

I feel like even after the Moro arc Goku should only b able to use Ui sign.. Mastered Ui should b like what original Ssj was in early dbz he should only be able to use it in moments of desperation similar to how Goku used ssj against Cooler in the first Cooler movie

So I don't think this technique will ever appear again for something major. They just use te excuse that the enemy is becoming more powerful faster than Vegeta ability, so it'll be useless

I love "Spirit Fission" because it stablishes Vegeta as a team player, as an assist, which is a perfect conclussion to his arc.
Because if Vegeta became stronger than Goku and was able to beat the villains to himself, how is he different from what he was in the Cell saga? Him becoming an assist shows his character growth, he's no longer obsessed with being the top dog, he's willing to work with others to save earth.
I liked how serious this arc was felt like a dbz arc from the atmosphere (of course the arc didn’t end up as great as a dbz arc)
Honestly this arc was better than buu saga and every arc in db. Only saiyan, frieza, and cell are slightly above it. It was that good imo.

Man I forgot how much I missed these vids. They give you so much perspective on arcs I feel.
I hope they don't make goku and vegeta impervious to magic in the future. Magic has so much potential and it would suck to make it useless against them.
But dragon ball has unlimited potential so I can't wait.
Despite its flaws this arc is the best arc of super,this arc is what super should've been from the beginning.

Overall I was happy for the moro arc. It wasn't perfect, but I did enjoy it. In the next arc I feel like granola will take or copy the UI ability using 7-3.
Starting the year with a positive attitude. I like that bro.
I was excited for the Moro Arc but it's always the same recycle premise and 6 concepts.
1. Villain appears.
2. Goku & Vegeta face the threat and get defeated.
3. They go back to training.
4. Goku tries again but loses.
5. Vegeta returns, he is about to defeat the enemy but gets cocky and loses.
6. And finally Goku returns and saves the day.
- Recycle, Rinse & Repeat-
If its not broke don't fix it. People are not watching dragonball for anyone other than goku or vegeta. I'll admit if they made gohan and piccolo stronger people wouldn't mind seeing more of them, especially piccolo but not just them. If this new movie (dbs: super hero) is mostly about gohan and piccolo it will ultimately be a flop if goku and vegeta don't have a huge roll. They are already taking a huge gamble with this 3d animation for the movie as it is.

Overall, the Galactic Prisoner was a pretty solid arc. It has some problems but i would say that this is probably the best arc in Dragon Ball Super. And i said in Super, not in the series!
The one thing that did a de-service to this ark is the monthly release. One month gives the readers and fans enough time to speculate and predict on what will happen next which may or may not made this arc more predictable than it is. And also enough time to forget what happened in previous chapters. It probably wouldn't hurt to read this entire arc again from start to finish. Just saying.
Nah it’s definitely one of the greatest in the franchise imo. Loved the writing. Great characters, development, and moments. Moro was a really good villain. Amazing fights. A lot of the criticism is undeserved because people misunderstood tons of moments. Ofc it’s not perfect. Buts it’s there’s barley any flaws. And those flaws are minor. The arc did a lot of things right.
Yea I kinda see what you mean on the last part. It was still really unpredictable tho. Like merus being an angel, Moro’s third wish, vegeta going to yadrat, goku showing up first, vegeta’s technique, moro eating 73, moro becoming the planet, uub, etc. a ton of unpredictability for sure.
Vegeta needs his own arc cuz thats the only way he's ever gonna get a win to himself

Goku got MUI too soon
Merus and Goku's friendship wasn't focused on enough
The Z Fighters didn't really beat their foes(they did but Goku still had to come save their asses.)
No Trunks and Goten for some stupid reason.
Moro not using "Magic" Magic
Moro ending up as a brute
Vegeta was supposed to be the one to use gigantification.
Spirit Fission looked boring as hell.
The Senzu bean thing.

Honestly I liked pretty much everything in this arc. The only things I didn't like was Moro's design change and the whole Senzu bean thing, but that's it. Imo the positives definitely outweigh the negatives and I don't understand why some people focus so much on the few negatives and act as if the entire arc was terrible because of them.
I don't think Vegeta will be using IT again since he himself said this in the manga.
"Worry not -- I have no intention of pilfering your signature move... I likely wouldn't be able to pull it off again and I won't be learning it after this."
Mike makes a good point about secondary characters looking more interesting than the final villain in Dragon Ball, I've always thought this and I wondered if I was the only one lol...
Moro-73 isn't that bad a design overall - certainly better than a lot of what comes out of Dragon Ball Heroes for example (looking at _you,_ Hearts).
I still enjoyed the fights scenes he was in, all the fighting against Goku, it still looks pretty cool when in action.
But it's a definite step down from his normal form.
People are nuts. Moro arc was the best arc so far. Universal tournament started a massive upward tick in quality of this product. People need to grow up a little. Its never going to be DBZ or make you feel like your running home to watch toonami. It started shaky, but this is a very good series. Moro looked dope, and people are missing what his character meant. He was a catalyst to teaching Goku not every fight can be won alone or with pure strength. Strategical thinking like we had with Vegeta is needed. Thinking outside the box is needed. New techniques are needed. They all learned that. And now with Granola we clearly have another THINKING character who clearly isn't about straight raw power. He has a plan. An initiative. Arc was a fantastic setup to the wider universe now being in play. 8/10

That MUI Transformation and Goku Punching Moro
Moro roasting vegeta attack made him one hell of a villain. Rarely do we see that in anime as a whole, not to mention in DB respectively
The good thing about Moro arc I can see MUI Goku getting stronger with angels tier power and the Moro being the villain with new magical power and fresh start for DBS to buildup storyline that the audience haven't seen it before.
After rereading, I think this was not as bad as I thought first time.
But I still think ignoring many previous character and story developments in last few chapters was really really annoying.
Yea a lot of people overreacted about a lot of things tbh. So much so that the missed the point of crucial moments. What story developments did they ignore? Plz don’t at the senzu bean scene lol it’s one of those misunderstood moments
@@leultrainstinct406 looks like you haven't read OG dragon ball manga, thats why you don't see the amount of copy-pasting done from previous arcs, and if a character doesn't the same mistake to get the same response and the learn the same lesson over and over again, its called Ignored character development.
So go read dragon ball first.

Talking about Buu, in the tournament of power he was suppose to participate but unable to do so becoz he fall asleep, and it has been established that when Buu fall asleep nothing could wake him up.. but in this Arc, Jaco manage to wake him up in an instance to approach Uub.. that’s weird
I liked that Moro was weaker than both Goku and Vegeta but was able to keep them on their toes because of his magic and trickery, sadly this was only at the beginning of the arc.
One Arc I’d like to see in the future would be a confrontation with the stronger universes that were exempt from the T.O.P. Maybe they feel threatened by the standouts from the tournament and send their strongest warriors to hunt them down. It would give them an opportunity recruit Broly and Uub and bring them into more prominent roles. They could even team up with other warriors from the tournament like Hit, Jiren, and the universe 6 saiyans. I know a lot of good can come out of that arc if done correctly. Could you please do a video on it?
Plot Twist: Granola was the one who taught Dr Gero how to create androids
@@jasonone8726 Actually, I myself came up with that theory. Think about it: both Dr. Gero & Granola are scientist who created androids. Granola teaching Gero how to make powerful androids would explain how Gero was able to make Androids 16, 17, 18 & Cell stronger than Frieza back in Z

The real problem with Oob/Ub is the fact that he's a kid (like Goten and Trunks). To put this into context, at the end of Z Goten and Trunks are young adults while he is basically at the same age as in the Moro arc!

I guess the only thing I did not like about the arc was the ending which relied on Ultra Instinct and the god power to deal with this, instead of what seemed initially, as even Vegeta of all people went out to seek for another method.

This is for all my real DragonBall Z fans that are also realistic and competent of power scalling. For example, Super Saiyan 3 Gohan age 11 hypothetically would be by far the strongest fighter in the series even during the buy saga up until buuhan and buutenks.
And so with this out the way let's get to the most important question of all time.
Who is weaker?
Majin Yamcha (Babidi's Control and Power Up) vs Deceased Cell (Cell with Yamcha Absorbed) Vs Buumcha (Majin Buu with Yamcha Absorbed)
