I just can’t understand why Merrick Garland and the DOJ hasn’t already arrested him and a few of those people close to him unless they are compromised.
Trump is stupid, but not dumb. Hence his paying for some witnesses attorneys by third party sources. Garland and the DOJ, need to make sure the case they present, will be air tight, so Trump can not weasel his way out of it. The Jan 6th committee is giving Garland alot of information, that they will need time to go over, so nothing is missed. Sadly, that's going to take some time. I do think it will be done before the mid-terms are here...

Garland is a Republican.
This is the most complex case in American history. And Trump has at least 100 million available for legal defense, (from the RNC) without touching his own resources. The DOJ only gets one chance, because of the double jeopardy concept.
If they arrest him, then all of the presidents and their staffs are up for arrest by any DOJ or lesser reasons. That's not a justification for it, but it is the reason why.

1) Rudy was asked directly in one of the 62 election lawsuits if his side was claiming fraud and he answered "No" (they need to play this right after video from multiple press conferences where he told the public the exact opposite).
2) Sydney was being sued by Dominion and said no reasonable person would take her allegations against Dominion seriously.

In many of the lawsuits Giuliani filed claiming election fraud, when he went before a judge for a hearing, he withdrew the fraud claims because he had no proof of election fraud. Sydney Powell was sued by Dominion Voting Systems because she claimed at a news conference that the late Hugo Chavez, the dead President of Venezuela, rigged Dominion's voting machines to change votes from Trump to Biden. This claim was so ridiculous that even Trump thought she was nuts & fired her from his campaign legal team. Both Giuliani's & Powell's licenses to practice law have been suspended in several states & DC, & they are now facing criminal charges under GA's RICO law for their attempt to overturn Biden's victory in GA.

I am hoping that the committee will address the Texas lawsuit, which had nothing to do with concerns about election fraud in Texas. Even as they failed to produce evidence, and lost case after case, they were running out the clock, with high hopes that the courts would sanction their bullying tactics,.... And ultimately, disregard the will of the people in an election. While other states did not officially join Texas in the suit, many amicus briefs were entered by other states, in support of the action. I wonder how many people , have no idea, their own state had weighed in on this.

My question is how did Mitch McConnell win Kentucky so fast? It was the first state to confirm a final vote.
They'll call a race of it's mathematically impossible at a certain point for the opponent to even catch up, much less win. So, if 60% of the precincts have reported, and the person is winning with 85% of the vote, they'll look at which precincts haven't reported, calculate how many potential votes are in those precincts, and the only way the opponent would win is if they got 99% of the remaining votes, they can feel safe calling it at that point, because no one is going to get 99% of the vote. Or, the ones who have reported are the biggest in the state, and all that's left are the tiny precincts whose total votes wouldn't be enough to put the opponent on top, they can call it. There are actually people out there whose sole job is doing the math for these things, and, in case you couldn't tell by my explanation, I am not one of those people 😃.

The Republicans made it a law in Pennsylvania that mail in votes wouldn't be counted until the polls closed.

In Pennsylvania NO votes are counted until after the polls close on Election Day, at 7pm. Then, the in-person votes were required by law to be counted first, then the mail-in/absentee ballots were to be counted.
