    Stress increases cortisol levels and high cortisol has been shown to decrease test levels and muscle growth. Stressing about making gains will in fact diminish gains. Enjoy the gym is the best advice ever!

    I love the game analogy. As a gamer myself, I find that most content creators overcomplicate things especially with character builds. The best way to enjoy a game is to just have fun.

    That gaming analogy was on point. Definitely ruined the experience of playing through some games because I wanted to do everything, explore everywhere, have the best build. But just like in games having the best build may be op after you've made the build, but making the build wasn't always fun because of all the min-maxing. Just like building your body, yes you'll look good but it won't be fun. I've just started hitting the gym, and this was a good reminder to have fun with it, because I don't want to ruin my body, something way more important than a game because I wanted to min-max my gains.

    The hard thing about bodybuilding is starting and then the hardest thing is .... to remain consistent and committed to it. It's very easy to suddenly make excuses and stop going to the gym and missing workout days... That's a slippery slope.

    Two things that could benefit you:
    1) Make photos. Compare long run results. I do them every day personally
    2) Track gym progress. If you lift more with the same good technic that's a progress and you are getting more strength

    • @dasshrs
      @dasshrs 11 місяців тому

      Just to comparison:
      Previously I could not even do single push up or dip. I was the weakest.
      Now I can do at least 6-8 push ups and about 4-5 dips. And after I went to that I looked slightly bigger and it was noticible.

    I think the most important tip is, if you want to follow a fitness trainer on UA-cam or social media, choose one and stick to the channel. Choosing the creator depends on who you're able to relate with the most and how reasonable are their workouts for you. If that is too much work, take up a course in fitness training and train yourself.

    • @trainerwinny
      @trainerwinny  11 місяців тому

      Preexhaust with the exercise that you feel like is giving you the "most blood into the muscle" because thats the goal of the preexhaustion, you should drive as much blood into the muscle as possible, which will improve your mind-muscle connection and ultimately lead to better gains, so its up to you what exercise you choose!
