George had the best kinds of friends, it was evident when they came together to honor him with the Concert For George. There was so much love between all of them.
Roy Orbison's part sang by Iain Hornal. Session singer, bass player and guitarist, as well as an artist in his own right. He oversees the vocal arrangements for Jeff Lynne's ELO. He is fantastic!
This song will always be one of my favorites of my life. I told my son when I die, slap on a ‘Handle With Care’ sticker on my casket and play this song as I’m entombed. It’s the way I’ve chosen to go out when my time comes...!
If I could meet one artist if my lifetime, it would be Jeff Lynne. He is, by far, the greatest, most talented musician ever. I was born in 1952 & I can’t put into words how much enjoyment his music has brought to me through the years. His music never grows old.
Bob: I agree. My hope is that Dhani Harrison will start getting into the UNcomputerised music. I like his songs just but not the over the top machines. His last album was REALLY good. ("In Parallel") If it was just guitars bass drums, some keyboard, and anything that is not fake. I'd probably be a BIG fan.
We saw ELO in Columbus on this tour, and when Dhani came out to sing this song with Jeff, I cried to hear Dhani sing his father's part. So moving and so special.
I was rockin out to ELO back in the seventies on 8 track in my 64 comet, sure didn't think I would be watching them 50 years later on some thing called you tube over the internet.
Imagine that, suddenly... Roy, Tom and George comes out into the stage for sing with Jeff. It would be very emotive and beautiful. Reast In Peace those three great musicians
The Beatles are so good that when John and George died respectively, someone up there decided to give us Julian and Dhani so the world wouldn't be left without their fathers
I am ashamed that I never listened to E L O in their original days, but thanks to You Tube I have now discovered one of the greatest group in the world. And Dhani Harrison made a great job of that song. George would have been really proud of him.
My husband and I rocked to ELO in the early 70s when we were dating and quite frankly, nobody knew who they were. Now 45 years later, we’re keeping that light alive. And God Bless Jeff Lynne for his generosity. It was a real treat to hear Dhani.
Oh WOW! a song from another era. A truly GREAT ERA of the GREATEST MUSICIANS ever. Jeff Lynne is a true Great.Listening to Dhani is so close to his Dad, who was my absolute favourite! I am so glad I grew up in that era and am now 65 +, and UA-cam allows me to watch and listen to all the Greats especially when they all played together and backed each other at any opportnity!. God Bless those who are no longer with us and those who continue their Legacy!!
Tears. Hearing Dhani sing his father’s part. He’d be proud, hell, I’m proud for him. And best of all, once the song is done, he says thank you and exits the stage. Humble and a fine young man. 😷🤙🏼
Omg ! How precious ! George taught his son well, and surrounded him with the best of the best musicians and groups ! As mentors and told models ....and Dahni took the instruction and is awesome in his own right ! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
As I'm sure that many would agree. How BLESSED we all are that the legacy of composers & performers, some of who have left the Planet Earth, continues to be preserved through these wonderful concerts.
It was like having George Harrison with Jeff Lynne again, Dhani Harrison is so much like his Dad. He did an awesome job with this song. I miss George so much. This was a great tribute.
Took my wife , my daughter and my daughters’ fiancé to Jeff’s’ ELO concert in Sacramento in 2019. It was awesome and everything that you’d hope the concert to be. Somewhat surprised that my (then) 33 year old daughter was so in to ELO! The day after the concert, they downloaded the recording of the Wembley concert. That’s pretty much all that I heard on their stereo system for the next 4 trips to see her!
All genius music has been already created. Nothing left to create for future generations and the are forced to try carefully repeat only. This song is coming down from the heaven.
When the Beatles first came to America, I was only 9 years old and loved George right away. This performance with Dhani brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful that Jeff and ELO brought him on to sing this. I'm deeply touched. Thank you for sharing this special clip.
-Hats off to jeff, he keeps going ahead with all music and keeps spirits alive. DhAni says ,i love you! I hope jeff keeps bringing super stars 2 Geather.
@@wahoodal0896 Although Jeff Lynne may not have sang lead in the recorded version, he understandably dominates at his concerts. Since the 2018 tour was the last time Handle With Care saw regular performances by a living Wilbury, it was “expected” that Jeff would take lead. The fact Dhani was invited to join in with not the “expected” support role of rhythm guitar and back up vocals, but to perform his father’s lead position with Jeff taking a backseat was unselfish of Jeff. That was the point of the post.
So dam nice to see Dhanny sing and play this song, I think his Dad George would be so proud of him, and many thanks to Jeff Lynne for making this possible. RIP GEORGE, you will never be forgotten.
I saw them play this in Toronto last year it was magical. Not only was Dhani excellent, but Ian Hornel the backing singer taking Roys part was the icing on the cake. Jeff Lynne and ELO are now in the RRHOF, now he needs to be knighted. Give this musician the recognition he deserves! Waaaaaay over due!
Glad to see some recognition of Iain's talent. Jeff said on a BBC radio 2 interview how he had had to ask Iain to tone it down a bit as it was too much like Roy! Have you checked out Iain's solo work? www.iainhornal.com/
This is a great version. You know they were thinking about Tom and of course George and Roy. ELO was so under rated. I can’t believe they just got in the RRHOF.
Roy, George and Tom...missed dearly!
George would be so proud!!
He sounds just like his father!
George’s son Dhani sounds a lot like George and God Bless Jeff Lynne for bringing back ELO again! Its been great!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was very classy of Jeff to include this in his show. Dhani sounds eerily the same to his dad. The harmonies on this song are amazing.
Yes Sir. Awesome To Love Music Again, in 2019.
Brilliant
i bet George is so proud of his son
Hats off to the guy who sang Roy Orbison’s parts! That was awesome!
Iain Hornal has been fantastic over the years performing with Jeff's band.
Yeah, he's very very good

Jeff Lynne is not only the very best ever, but he is also such a class act, inviting Dhani to sing his father's part of this great song.

They are really close, especially since George passed away.

Who else got a little teary eyed listening to this - great job by Mr Harrison and Mr "Orbison"
Jeff Lynne is another great English musician who is still just as awesome after all these years.
He even looks like his Dad. George is definitely there. Thank you so much Jeff Lynne
The way Dhani said to Jeff "I love you" was so very sweet and touching
Jeff Lynne. Never seems to age.
Love this song.
Love this. Brought tears to my eyes hearing Dhani singing his Dad’s part.
