IKEA manuals are so well written. To be fair, there's no writing on the instructions, just pictures. Maybe the Bible needs to be only in pictures, that way people can see how the instructions of each gospel is totally contradictory to the other.

When telling a eye witnessed account you will have some differences in details, such as peter being the only one mentioned in Luke to go to the empty tomb, but John also went, in johns account, and Luke provided more details in some cases, as did John, But there are no contradictions, he is confusing reports, the disciples did not believe, but peter and john did, and they were not the two who Jesus appeared to on the road because that was before the disciples got word from the women. And in Matthew we see the quickness of atheists to look for a error and not evaluate the situation. The women were told by an angel the lord has risen (there were 2 angels considering reports), and as they went to tell the disciples, the women met Jesus and worshiped him. Matthew dose not go into detail about peter and john, or the two disciples Jesus met on the road, that being said it skips the part where the women tell the disciples and peter and john went, but gives the last account with all the disciples mentioned in all the gospels, where "some doubted", Jesus said "because you have seen you believe, blessed are those that have not seen yet believe", and ascended.

For those years we were forced to read the Bible, have weekly Bible studies and I was made to do a sermon before the entire congregation on a specific Bible passage and it's meaning. All males 13 and over are required to do so. People make fun of Jehovah's Witnesses, but they read the Bible cover to cover as I was made to do. I thank them for their adherence to actually reading the Bible like so many Christians do not. I give the Witnesses credit for educating me to the point of understanding it is all crap. Show me a Christian that is committed and serious about the Bible and I will show you someone who has not actually read it.

As mentioned above, at least five women set out for the tomb in the early morning, probably from Bethany. As they neared the tomb, they noticed the stone had been removed. Apparently, Mary Magdalene left the other women to alert Peter and John. Based on her comment about not knowing the location of the Lord’s body, it seems that she was not among the women who encountered the angels at the tomb.
Meanwhile, the other women entered the tomb and encountered the angels. One of the angels proclaimed that the Lord had risen, and then “the women went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word” (Matthew 28:8-9).
So how could Jesus first appear to Mary Magdalene (Mark 16:9) and then to the other women? As they headed for the tomb, why didn’t Mary, Peter, and John cross paths with the other women who were going to tell the disciples?
The key to resolving these dilemmas is to understand that Peter and John were probably not staying in the same place as the other disciples. Remember, although all the disciples “forsook Him and fled” at His arrest (Matthew 26:56), Peter and John were brave enough to enter Jerusalem to find out what would happen to Jesus (John 18:15). Of course, Peter fled in shame at the rooster’s crow (Matthew 26:75), but John was present at the Cross (John 19:26). At some point, John and Peter met up, and they were likely staying together in Jerusalem when Mary Magdalene came to the door on Sunday morning.
Where were the other disciples, then? We cannot be certain, but they may well have stayed in Bethany. After all, this is where Jesus often stayed on trips to Jerusalem, and Bethany was on the eastern slope of the Mount of Olives (Mark 11:1), the location of Christ’s arrest.
If these suppositions are correct, then all of the difficulties are resolved nicely. Mary Magdalene first left the tomb and entered nearby Jerusalem to get Peter and John. During that time, the other women encountered the angels and then left the tomb to set out on the two-mile trip to Bethany to tell the other disciples. They may have stopped along the way to tell Clopas and an unnamed disciple about the morning’s events (Luke 24:22-24), or they may have split up so that a couple of them could inform these men. In all likelihood, “the wife of Clopas” was among these women (John 19:25).
Meanwhile, Peter, John, and Mary raced to the tomb. The men entered the tomb, saw the grave clothes, and then left. Mary stayed behind, weeping outside the tomb. When she looked into the tomb, she saw two angels (John 20:12), and after explaining her grief to them, she turned around and saw the Savior (John 20:16). After Mary departed to tell Peter and John about seeing the risen Lord, Jesus appeared to the other women who were on their way to Bethany (Matthew 28:9).

@@FishfaceTheDestroyer he’s not solo in Luke. Read the two verses right before it (24:10-11), it literally says the apostles (plural) were there when they were told. Then it just gives you Peter’s perspective of what unfolds, but never says it was “only” Peter who ran. You are adding in “only” when it’s never mentioned nor implied in the text then wondering why it doesn’t make sense if you add things in that aren’t there. The Gospels are meant to be read as complimentary to the others, and the others give more information for a complete story. In John more of the story is told from get this, John’s perspective.. I know crazy right? Who would’ve thought John would’ve gave John’s perspective.

I’m not sure what the broader context of the conversation was, but I believe it’s important to consider that these are four accounts of a single man’s ministry, written by at least four different authors. If a gas station gets robbed and 10 people are spread throughout the store as the robbery happens; and then a year later you find them all and ask each person to give their account of the situation, you will receive 10 very similar stories about a robbery, but each person will recall certain details differently; especially if these grayer details were less important to the overall story. The Bible was written by man, and is believed to be inspired by God. If someone inspires you to do something, that doesn’t in any way mean that you were possessed and forced by that person to carry out your task. This is a misunderstanding I believe many people have when they imagine God inspiring humanity to write; it’s not possession, it’s drive.

Matthew dose not go into detail about peter and john, or the two disciples Jesus met on the road, that being said it skips the part where the women tell the disciples and peter and john went, but gives the last account with all the disciples mentioned in all the gospels, where "some doubted", Jesus said "because you have seen you believe, blessed are those that have not seen yet believe", and ascended.

you can view this universe from 2 different perspectives because you are actually 2 things... you are a single being with your own thoughts and desires and you are also woven into this universe, as a collective of atoms, you are the universe
    1. the more you live in the perspective of a single being, worshipping the self, the more divisive, the more alone, the more miserable you will become (satanism, the religion of the self)
    2. the more you live in the perspective of the collective, the more belonging you feel with the universe and everyone in it, this perspective will bring you peace and contentment in this world, it will give you purpose
atheists think in the perspective of self, but so do religious people... as soon as you introduce a personal god into your religion, then you left the perspective of the collective and entered the perspective of self and introduced satanism into your religion, this is why our fake religions of today can pump out so much evil into our world
so if you're an atheist that got called a satanist by a religious person... just explain to them that they're satanists too... you should get along better now that you both understand your own belief system 💕

      @alphacentauri3069 Рік тому

@AnonYmous-yj9ib the events are the same, the matter is detail. In Matthew the importance is that Jesus rose, and the disciples met him in Galilee.
In Mark the oldest manuscripts don’t include an ending beyond the women leaving the tomb, and it’s been debated that a well intentioned Christian constructed the later endings of Mark using the other three gospel narratives.
Luke writes his book (and the book of acts) as a historical account of events, constructed from eyewitness accounts, specifically for the purpose of informing his friend Theophilus, and thus his include many more specific details of events that are not in the other gospels simply because they were not relevant, like the walk from Emmaus. He also only records Peter going to the tomb, but this does not mean that Luke and John are at odds with each other. (Who went to the party last night? Bob and bill went. Who went to the party last night? Bob went. Neither statement of fact is at odds with each other.)
Each narrative is different because each one put a different emphasis on the details they recorded. A careful reading of the four accounts produces no contradictions that cannot be explained.

Only Mathew and John are believed to have authored their respective books.
Luke and Mark were not apostles.
Yes the books are inspired by God, but shaped by the individual author’s vocabulary and experiences.
How are eyewitness accounts one of the worst forms of evidence? The moment you want to know anything about something that happened, you go find an eyewitness.
As I already stated, the contradictory elements are only contradictory from the very surface of the reading. Any in-depth study of the four gospels produces a cogent timeline of events that the four gospels agree on.

Tell them God told you to move. He came to you in your dream.
Top priority is getting your family to safety. People in your situation unfortunately have to fake it until you're able to live on your own.

@@eddyeldridge7427 hmm... I've actually been doing it for 2 days and today will be the 3rd day (u could do it for 1/3/7 days) and so far both the dreams were bad as much as I remember. And I also don't feel that Canada is our destination. We'll see what does the 3rd dream say!

Like I said, you need to lie to your family about this to get them to move to a safer place.

You're missing the most key part You're talking about what happened before everybody came back together. But they met in the upper room because they were afraid and because the Romans had already started searching for jesus's followers. But they all met in the upper room praying in Jesus appeared to all of them except for Thomas. You're missing the most important part. And you're disregarding all storytelling understanding. So continue on with your disbeliefs and I will continue to rip your lies apart have a great day

So we should ignore the contradictions because you think they're irrelevant?

It is so hard for people who are not on the atheist or religious side to take atheists seriously when this is the kind of reasoning and logic they use to claim anything that seems like a contradiction as proof that the bible is false without actually reading or investigating the claims they are making. Having two accounts that don't contradict each other is not a contradiction unless it would be logically impossible to reconcile the stories together. I deal with conflicting narratives all day every day in my line of work. Just because something seems contradictory when it is first stated rarely actually turns out to be contradictory when reconciled with simple reasoning and logic as is the case in these instances with even the slightest bit of investigation and critical thinking. It does not say "I alone was there" or "there was no one else" obviously different recounting of the same event will include different details of a story from the other person perspective. If I say "I went to the grocery store" that doesn't mean that my wife didn't come, or my child didn't come or my brother didn't come or that other people weren't at the grocery store. It is only by adding to the text and willfully misreading or inferring from it with faulty reasoning do you come away with absurdly illogical conclusions as presented here.
The more I look into these supposed "contradictions" that turn out to just be people who are really bad at logical reasoning the the more it seems that Atheism seems like a religion for just really, really stupid people.
