- Cubes, Chunks, and Crumbles off Acoustic Shards.
"Some passages are so advanced you'd swear it's two guitarists -- but it was all recorded in real time and without overdubs -- while other parts are just melodically beautiful beyond words."
- Jas Obrecht
Sorry, there's a minute of silence at the end.

i´m glad that buckethead is underrated, i don´t want people without musical taste say they like it just because he´s famous.
Buckethead is playing 'ghosts upstairs' here, Great song
man totally disproves all those people's theories that buckethead has no soul
some of his stuff doesn't have a whole lot, but so much of it, probably 95% is just amazing..
Random shards at that. BH relaxes my brain like some kind of thearopy.
I will be honest, I personally never loved Buckethead'S style, but I highly respect his art/stye. There is something really deep in what he's doing!
And acoustically, he is awesome!
@CleanseTheSoul Yeah thats why I love watching him live. Get to really see him play and not to mention every time he plays the song it gets 100 times better because he changes it and improvises.
wow, i didn't know about that album, i'll listen to it right away, thaks dude^^
@nepatsfan61590 I know, I didn't say that he's "just a blues guitarist". I said that he took blues to it's most extreme form, which he deserves respect for. There's barely room for any comparison, since Buckethead taps a lot, and sweeps and uses other techniques that were not popular while Hendrix was alive.
i'd use the term "stood" lightly
I'm very sorry to the one dislike person...it would have been so insane to have your mind blown away by such a thing....
Well yeah , Check out buckethead's album 'population override' wich is mainly blues. And it just sounds more original like i always thought all bluesbands nowadays sounded alike until i heard that
they banned him?!?!
what for, he had the best collection of BH vids on youtube!!
The song ended at 3:24.
i can play who me by him already and some other ones i cant remember
no 1 has mentioned this but this whole album is improv
U can get this at any CD store
ive learned a few of his acoustic songs, and when you learn them, you just dont wanna stop playing them. learn some of the easier ones first, then go for harder ones. you'll notice that the same weird chords come up in a few of his songs.
Is that some Pink Wagon at 0:43?
lol 420
@GrizCC ur nice.
Why is no one talking about the beginning of this song?! How the fuck is he doing that with just one guitar?!
tabs pleaseeee i wanna learn this :o
@WereRabbbit No, not at all....I just wanna know wtf he's doing. He always comes up with the craziest ideas.
that's pretty damn close, if not right.
This or Johnny are the best songs on the album. Ghost Upstairs is a lot like this at the beginning then kinda drifts into bucket kinda drifted Bucketheadland.
@AngusRocker22 ive heard hundreds of tracks
diebritney IS back, only i forgot the new username:(
lol. yea he is awsome.
if you se a cd called "in search of the "keep it it is 1 out of 15
Dude, tabs for this would have to have so many notes and annotations; I think you should leave it to the master.
plus it was two totally different time periods
@beefychew Don't compare them, please. It's like saying that apples are better than bananas. Too different to compare, really.
yeah, who me is a real good song. try "the last train to bucketheadland" or "wishing well"
@beefychew Jimi Hendrix is out of bucketheads league, there's something missing from Buckethead, its too technical. Jimi just lets it all out, doesnt hold back, it's untamed, thats what makes Jimi the best.
man i dont know how to play by ear but i wanna learn to play the shit out of this song. tabs anyone?
i believe this song is about cheese
@CleanseTheSoul Ah I can see it. Its not impossible picking. But are you really surprised bucket can do it?
Hendrix and Buckethead are both from completely different generations. Today's musicians have to meet a bigger need for music. If Jimmy Hendrix had been born in our generation, he would have probably played together with the Bucket. The problem is; without a Hendrix in the 60's, rock would be completely different. So the obvious answer would be, Buckethead IS technically better than Hendrix, but only because he is ahead by time.
@nepatsfan61590 You can't compare them. Hendrix was basically a blues guitarist, but he took blues to it's most extreme form. Buckethead, at least on most of his albums, plays more of a metal style. They're both great. If you ask me, Buckethead is the greatest metal guitarist while Hendrix is the best blues guitarist.
you can go to youngbuckethead . c o m and order a copy or find his work on ebay amazon and else where
though this isnt 1 of his rare work but still the good work is still available through tdrs music
hope that helps
i think i could play it if i had the notes in front of me
@rod3067 sorry, i errased part of the message, i said i am glad having so terrible likes :)
Who the fuck cares whose better does it occur to people that you can't put ranks on things
1st hendrix is not overrated
2nd BH is great but not better, simply another style
3rd stop arguing you look like 13 years old
4th MUSIC IS ART NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP,NO ONE IS BETTER!!!!!
SOAB!!!! Why must everyone compare different guitarists? Like what you like and let others like what they like. Just listen to the music man and quit comparing.
@cryptic6chaos aving so terrible likes :)
Bucket is better than Hendrix but theres one thing Bucket will never be able to do that Hendrix could, is play with his teeth. Bucket has a mask on. D:
@nepatsfan61590 no
I think it's funny that people are comparing jimmy to Buckethead.I mean jim has got nothing on buckethead in therms of technical skills and versatitlity. Buckethead is way more original and just all round better guitar player no doubt about it.
well thats a bit to hard against jimi now, both are great, but jimi played more like jazz and blues or such crap i don't like, but he was still awesome(i still think buckethead is way better^^")
@iamamannow so you are telling me Soothsayer, King James, Fairy and the Devil, and All In the Waiting, just to name a few, aren't very creative? Im not taking any sides in the hendrix vs. bucket dilema, but to say buckethead has written "cheap" material isnt fair.
@stinkyshoe12 Very intelligent. But still, no.
@rod3067 hes underrated because hes terrible-_-
guys, buckethead is obviously way better than Hendrix.. WTF? really? don't be stupid.
Hendrix is so overrated its unbelievable. Sure, he was influential but not nearly "The Greatest". I honestly don't believe he did anything special.
