@@VWFarm Tx dude. Was genuinely chuffed how well it worked and way better than thr rotating tumbler I decomissioned. Just cleaned some old tools I found last week, really handy. Tx for watching 😊👍
I think the ones I current have are Erauber (Screwfix budget) 1mm slitting/cutting discs, and are a nice compromise between cutting ability and how long they last, also not had many failures from these. I found the Bosch I bought wore away in no time and used to be impressed with Vulcan, but the last lot didn't cut well. Lidl sell cheap discs occasionally but they just vanish into dust in no time and had 2 from the first box of 10 failed by breaking off at the centre. Thanks for watching. 😊👍
Hey, I want to make it, following you'r video but i'm struggling to launch the washing machine motor, eletricity's not my stuff .. How do you connect it ? tried different combinations and at one point i saw some smoke going out so i think i have to find another one now
I'll be honest I called in the help of my father who is a leccy guy because the circuit was confusing me. It was about 3 years ago so I maybe remembering wrong but in the motor I have now is pretty straight forwards, but I previously played with a motor that had a primary circuit which sends power around the coils, and then a secondary circuit which powers a smaller coil. I cant remember if I fried that! lol or we connected it to make it work and its the one have right now. From memory It might be the circuit that needed to start the motor moving in one direction or the other as was an induction motor but I'll be honest its been so long and Ive had so many motors in bits I just cant remember which was which any more. I'll be in the garage later in the week, So I'll try have a look at whats connected, but unless its the same as yours not likely to be any use?
Looks like a great design. Well done

Those bits of crap we save are never more useful than 2-3 weeks after we throw them out.
