Hilarious, a wonderful comedic scene to enjoy on a Saturday morning 🤣 Wonderful photography, the buildings are amazing, I must get on and improve my French, trouble is I learnt Italian, some years ago to GCSE level and would like to improve both languages, no time at the moment. Stew's German is amazing and have confidence Jane, keep going 😄🇫🇷🥖The baguettes look amazing, I agree with Ken on the "pit prop"😄 Hope the migraine has gone and stays away. Looking forward to seeing Harry on the ferry. Have a great week ❤️🚐🍾🥖
Ok to be clear all I know is how to get to the bank and nothing else 😂 The baguette was a torpedo and not very nice - I must admit another language would be a great asset and I would encourage and student to do it Thank you for watching
You’re vlog have been keeping me company whilst recovering from abdominal surgery. I’ve never laughed so much nearly burst my stitches lol 😂 😂❤. Lovely vlog xx
Well I have never ever had our videos being cited as a recovery process from abdominal surgery 😂 I think it’s a compliment 😂 Equally I don’t want it to be a reason for a failure and your surgeon comes after me Take care
Absolutely hilarious, sitting here with the headphones on catching up on everyone's videos & just tuned into yours.......I'm howling.....getting some funny looks from those sitting around me 🤣😆🤣😆🤣
I'm not a fan of liquorice either Jane. Keith loves it and also drinks liquorice tea. That's a big one Stew! It is horrible feeling rough when you are away. What a stunning abbey,, just our cup of tea. Just spat my coffee out listening to the translations. Please please don't become diplomats in the Foreign Office. You may end up starting a war😅
😂 we have just applied as translators at the UN - it would make life so much more interesting Thanks for watching guys - although not sure about that tea
The decoy ducks are there to attract other ducks to the water so the French can shoot them. The translation section was so funny you really need to make this a permanent feature in all your videos:)
They also tie a live bird to a pulley and hoist it across the lake and its loud squarks attract other birds that end up Kaput (thats German for dead Stew :)
Hi both. Lovely stopover and great idea to stay for longer and chill. Google translate defo on the list for in-van entertainment for our next trip. Very funny. Take care x
Oh I feel for you Stew, I suffered a lot with migranes when I was younger. I had to stay away from cheese, chocolate and a lot of dairy as they were my triggers. They are not nice at all. On the bright side, another great video, merci!
Loving your French adventure. Hilarious! Graham loves burnt bread. Really chuckled at Google translate. Worryingly I understood some of what Stu was saying in German🤪. So funny! As for the French… No idea about the ducks. Apple lattice every time. Thanks for sharing 👍😊
A very amusing video!!!! the google translate was really very funny even though I guess it didn't help Stew's migraine (they are dreadful!!!) glad you soon got over it, the abbey was wonderful as was all the surrounding area, loved the lawn mower could do with one!!! Keep safe.. LOL
Glad you enjoyed it! - the abbey was stunning in the light it had a presence about it …. Migraine went after two days fortunately - think I just needed the rest Thanks for watching
I tried asking for the bill in French but I thought it was le tariff sil vous plait and was so surprised when they brought out the menu! Waiter then explained it to me and I never forgot how he pronounced L’addition with such flair, we both had a laugh at my error😂. The only other mistake I made was trying to ask for vinegar for my chips(frites), I ended up pouring wine all over them 🤦♀️they were ruined!😂. Thanks for the laugh. That area looked lovely and peaceful, hope Stew got better, nothing worse than a bad migraine especially when traveling.
Brilliant - you think you are so good when your doing it to lol - vinegar v wine - not a bad exchange just not on chips lol Thanks for watching and above all taking time to comment
Jane your French is 100% better than mine, I feel quite ashamed when we return through France from Spain every year I just can’t grasp even the basic, we never had languages at school in the 60s ( struggle with English if I’m honest)
The funny thing is I genuinely and honestly thought I was smashing it before this 🤦♀️ 🙄. I stood behind stew and mumbled for the rest of the trip. I was horrified - glad to hear its not just me - jane ☺️
Another great video... gezzo you pair are always scoffing on something, Apple tart should be warm and served with Home made Custard or at least ice cream...I'm still drooling though. Keep Safe and Keep Camping.
Lol I know we looked at this episode and both said that’s all we did lol 😂 well life is to short although eating to many it may get shorter lol Thanks for watching
Thanks unfortunately it doesn’t go much farther than the bank 😂 As for tea sorry it’s a Dudley thing I think but tastes way better - one of the great debates of the modern world 😂
Good morning ! You are welcome ☺️ i didnt dare open my mouth after that ! And when I did it was a disaster 🤦♀️ Stew nailed it. Enjoy that blue sky - jane
Haha we were crying at the google translation, will give that ago. Cant wait to get back to the bakeries 😊. We are on countdown for our next trip 23 more gets ups 😢.
Ahh sorry you were unwell, it’s difficult when away isn’t it 😢 loved the language faux pas 😂🙈 🤣 It looks a beautiful place 😁 (trying to catch up while I have signal) 😊 Em 💜
Loved the French lesson we now feel more confident to got travelling after your fabulous clear consise French lessons, thank you 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But very concerned about the apple pastry…… how does this remain uneaten until the evening if it’s bought in the morning surely it has to be eaten with mid morning cuppa🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ Another great vlog thank you.
Thanks for watching guys - we take no responsibility for any language you have learnt on this series 😂 The only reason the apple lasted so long was all the other stuff we seemed to have bought 😂
Great video 👍really enjoyed lost In translation or transitlation perhaps 😂 , do you think them vikings rocked up to the Abby with google translate and argued on the French pronunciation of pillage 😂 . Learned some German for work , the German engineer un politely told me to stop . Perhaps now you’ve saved a sheep you should learn some Welsh , lots of flem though . Well done and good luck both 👍👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢
I’m in tears! This brought back some blocked memories…spent 3 months in France without being able to talk to ANYONE….and that after studying basic French (or so I thought) for almost a year. Jesus, that French Stink Eye…it still scares me. The only thing I ever really learned to say was “I’m sorry”…
Had the best belly laugh I've had for a while at you both with Google translate 😂😂 tears rolling down my face 😂. Till the next time have a good week wherever you are 😊
Thank you so much for this episode. I’ve laughed so much and then had a go myself and laughed again. Google translate is hilarious. Loved the Abbey and wow how wide is the Seine. Hope your head is better Stew. Take care Gill
Oh my goodness, best episode ever, it was like watching a comedy sketch, you two lying in Harry teaching each other French, brilliant. 🤣🤣 Great camera work. Thanks guys. 👍🐸
In your video about security you fitted some external lights on the van can you remember where you got them from and how you wired them in ?? Cheers David.
Hi - I can answer partially as autocampers (Firth campers ) fitted them for me - they wired off 12v lights they had fitted above cab - the lights were from beaconlightbars - LED Autolamps 23260BLK 12V Black Awning / Scene Lamp PN: 23260BLK Hope that helps
It's the Black Country accent Stew 😂😂 It just can't comprehend it! I thought bill was billet. Shows what I know. Jane, leave it to Stew 😂😂😂 Least his French was better than his German!
Oh my! That baguette! I was in hysterics at the translation! What a beautiful area. What a wonderful video and great drone and editing! Thanks Jane and Stew!
That baguette was a baseball bay and tasted like one to lol 😂 we loved the river Seine it’s such a beautiful river to be by Thanks for watching and commenting

Feel better soon Stew.
Lovely village and surrounding area but the google translate part of your video had me in hysterics, I was crying with laughter. Really enjoying your French adventure guys, thanks for sharing 👍

At least I can enjoy the country through your adventures 👍
Awwww thank you for sticking with us ! How exciting getting your van ! We were buzzing by the time we went to collect Harry. Lots of new adventures for you and your dogs. And we look forward to showing you our future trips 😊 jane
Hi Jane and Stew, obviously Stew's accent is more suited to the French than yours. I used to change trailers with a polish driver called Yan, he taught me some polish. But he said that the English people couldn't pronounce polish the way the Scots could. But there's no need for Google translate, just speak very loudly in English. 😂😂😂😂
They were off Amazon but the links expired there are other stretch net storage boxes but these have a hard outer case type surround so the netting is not floppy - there are other makes I see on Amazon by the looks
