Much like in 1972 when the undefeated Dolphins were greeted with a nearly 70-degree day in Pittsburgh in December, the Chargers brought the weather with them for this game, 60 degrees and raining, which was exactly what it had been in San Diego when the team left earlier in the week. The previous week it had been in the 20s in Pittsburgh when the Steelers beat the Browns.

The next year, NBC would introduce a theme composed by Randy Edelman, which they would use for their NFL broadcasts until they lost the AFC package to CBS following the 1997 season.

Could you imagine these early to mid 90s Steeler teams with Ben at qb? They would match the Dallas teams of that era. God, O’Donnell was awful.

Miami defense just got shredded!!! Humphreys was getting allowed with throwing into triple coverage . Marino didn't have much for a supporting cast either that year

Steelers should thank chargers, for beating them in that game. Cause the 49rs would have destroyed the Steelers in supper bowl. Just as the cowboys did it a year later. !!!

I agree the chargers got destroyed, but the Steelers hung with Dallas for most of that Super Bowl they played in 95.

steelers didn't get destroyed against cowboys they had chance too win the but O'Donnell just decided too help the cowboys throwing 2 picks at end of games still today I wonder was he paid to throw the game

I think the Steelers would've played a much better defensive game. Still lose, probably 34-17 or something. Couldn't see them giving up 49 but who knows

Steelers destroyed the Cowboys statistically in Super Bowl XXX. 2 ridiculous interceptions thrown by Steelers QB Neil ODonnell handed Dallas the game and made millions think the game was fixed.

Sigh, I'm guessing you weren't born yet? The Steelers outplayed the Cowboys a year later. But you're right, they would have lost to San Francisco...

its was not fixed...the idea that a team full of coaches and grown men who dreamed of playing in a SB would throw the game is so retarded..and no, the refs didnt "throw" the game either..upsets happen, its single elimination..
