Ah yes. I chased that carrot of, "we see you as a future partner! Please do everything that no one wants to do."
Not anymore! Just started my own firm while working remote for a W2 job, now I just need to figure out how to get the right clients! So far I only have 1, but this is just my first month.

I love the line about building a sustainable firm. We have a sign we use for recruiting that says Life’s too short to work like an Accounant.

I always struggled with the "help me grow my firm and then I will sell you some at the higher value you created."
I also struggled with the buy-in when you can start your own firm and dump the buy-in cost into advertising and be in full control.

Pretty good content and channel topic! Could you make a video about software tools that are adapted for the international accounting prototypes for accounting firms in Europe?

Great video, really need so many firm owners to watch this and hopefully it will wake them up to what needs to be done with the long term partner material staff, before the get hosed

Unfortunately, I was on that partner track line. The carrot dangling just out of reach for years. Finally got tired of it and just started my own firm. Partners act like it just came out of nowhere. So exhausting.

As a high performer employee, you also need accountability to your own boundaries. If your family life is suffering, you need to take responsibility to your boundaries. It's not 100% firms fault

Can you make a video about how to get a job with a degree and no experience?
