This is NOT a party song. For us Croatians, it brings up a lot of sadness and anger because it shows how regular people are forced to leave their country, family and friends in search of a better life because the politics and corruption of our country is making it close to impossible to have a respectable life in most places here. We have lost friends, family members, loved ones over this... whole generations of people feel like ghosts living isolated in foreign lands and families separated. This is a painful song for us, and we relate to it very deeply.
We Armenians know this problem very well.Because our brothers and sisters living in Artsakh had to go in their own houses because some awfull people not allow them to live their. So we lost our land and our sisters lost their homes, friends, some of them sold their cows to get some money for living. And some Armenians imigrat too because of this political and economic situation and this is so awfull and sad.I understand you my brother we have to stay strong and work for the better future and live in our countries.❤❤❤❤Thank you for this meaningfull song that's so familiar🇦🇲🇭🇷🤗🤗🤗
As a Greek I can feel the sadness. This is a very common theme for many Greeks that have fled the country the past 20-15 years due to the economic and social meltdown. And yet, I'd say it's a positive song, and a very powerful one. At least that's how I perceive it.
I hope he wins the whole thing. He’s a genuine and decent guy with a fantastic song. The staging and live performance is the final hurdle plus HRT. Not hormone therapy to all the non Eurovision viewers. The little riverdance at the end I hope goes on stage 🥇🥇🥇🕺
I wish the song could incorporate that piano at the end and the performance could have a lighting change that signifies that he's leaving his homeland. Croatia has to see how popular this is and realize they could win with Baby Lasagna.

Techno part is also very well done, it builds a big anxiety, almost a trance like state, and after it is night and farewell party is almost over. The outro is early dawn, he is waiting for a ferry.
The video is perfection. The women who created it and whoever else was in her team is amazing! The song is also very catchy. He has my vote! Just watched the performance too, he's good! I want him to bring the cat!
The music video is perfect when you consider that the lyrics of the song are about young Croatians from the country LEAVING the countryside of Croatia to go to the city. The ending is showing someone going across sea to another country. The song is talking about how Croatia is going so downhill that it's very people are turning on it and selling out to the West!
It was the very same for Finland last year! In fact, I see a lot of "Finland last year" in this. I don't necessarily mean the song sounding similiar, but there just is something that gives me same kind of vibes about the whole thing. So, as a finnish Käärijä fan that really likes this song also, I wish all the best for you guys in the competition 😊 I know Baby lasagna is not chosen to be the representative yet, and everything can still happen and as we all know, you never know how things go. But enjoy the hype! 😁
7:33 He's not coming back, but leaving with "the first light"... No matter how exciting the music sounds, the song is actually sad. We Croatians are leaving our home, our tradition, our food, our families and friends to become like those "city boys" because there's nothing left for us young people in Croatia. The 'Rim tim tagi dim' in the song actually hints at our traditional folk music that we dance to, and this in the video is actually the last evening before leaving everything behind - forever.
