That long adjustable strap on the base camp can also be used to just let it hang around your neck instead of taking it off. I actually like that feature and use mine that way all the time. The upgraded model doesn't have that adjustable top strap it just has ear loops and a neck strap.

I been using the base camp for years and they are the best .I can wear it for hrs and so comfortable I sometimes forget to take it off 😊
