Would it be safe to soak the bones in salted water overnight outside a fridge? I.e at room temperature. Because I only have a small fridge and cant fit too much inside it. Or would this be unsafe?
@@andrewfaulkner4424 unfortunately doing it overnight could ruin the bones, you typically don't want to keep food in room temperature for more than 2 hours. hopefully that answers your question!
REKA Ventures thanks for telling me. Yeah I was thinking that it might not be safe overnight. I wasn't gonna take chances. Better to consult someone with knowledge and experience such as yourself. Keep the vidz coming 👍🏼
Good video. I'm definitely going to try this. However, dragging the knife sideways across the cutting board so aggressively can ruin the edge. You can use the back side of the knife and get more life out of your edge between sharpening.
He skipped the part when you remove the blood from the marrow…smdh. Submerge in salt water for 24 hrs…leaving the blood in it makes it taste..not so good. Soak the bones first.
Great video! Looked at A bunch of Bone Marrow Compound Butter videos. Too many steps... Elon Musk says, the best process is no process. You can cut this video by 25% and still have a great tutorial!
The only difference this and what guga foods did is that guga soaked the bone marrow in saltwater for a few days first to extract blood from the bone marrow. But honestly I have no idea if that affects the flavor that much.
Why does it have to bounce off the pad? Can't they control it to have it fall as a feather instead? Everything else has already been repeated 3 times so it's about time the landing is a success. Besides, it's not like they are trying to save fuel so that they can land hard.... just let it hover for another 2-3 seconds won't hurt
Absolutely delish.....I only added 1 additional ingredient and that is shaved cured egg yolk. Unbelievable flavor, I will be making this a part of my weekly routine.
We used bones from the cow's leg. If you go to any butcher and tell them you want beef bones for the marrow, that is most commonly what they will give you!
@@REKAVentures It turned out extremely well. One of the steaks had a few spots where it may have been too salty (First time trying to Dry Brine a steak) for my taste but it was still amazing. The great thing is that beef soup bones are cheap and work great for getting bone marrow.
@@REKAVenturesand thank you for the recipe. Lot of good content on your channel. I think I'm going to try that Cactus Cooler next if I can find the Prickly Pears again. I tried them once by themselves and while good there were a ton of seeds I think that would be a good way to use them.
@@terryrhuebottom Awesome! Thank you for the kind words! Yeah like a pomegranate sometimes just getting the juice is better than trying to eat the whole fruit

Salt at your discretion mercy treated the bones like salting snow
Dude, add a cured egg yolk and anchovy paste. Maybe even a touch of Worcestershire sauce. Fling everything into a blender and make it creamy!!
That's a great idea!!! dang!
WOW!!! I've never tried using bone marrow before! Looks amazing!
The great thing is that the bones are fairly cheap. I'm trying this tomorrow for dinner.
It is amazing. You won’t regret trying this. It takes savory meats to the next level.
Dude, the olive oil can't handle that level heat. Better to go without.
Thanks for the tip!
Maybe use beef tallow or duck fat in stead of olive oil?
Nothing but salt. Not good
great video!
Woah!!! That’s too much salt mate!!
Your editing with Sir nacho libre was just awesome.
Thank You!
Love the recipe and may be trying it with newly purchased bones full of marrow but the salt is giving me high blood pressure thru the screen.
Customize it how you want and let us know how it turns out!

Looks great!! I may be wrong but the view in the video looks like that garlic is a little burned. Nevertheless, I look forward to giving this a try!
Would never have thought to use bone marrow in butter! Looks delicious #flavorexplosion 😋🧄🧈🍖
What temp and how long did you roast the marrow bones ??
He said 500 degrees F for 30-40 min

Garlic looks burnt 😳😒
Tried it, very very good, liked putting an onion in with the bones
Glad you liked it! That sounds amazing!

Thank you for the feedback!
Do you cook it right out of the freezer or let is get to room temperature first?
LOL..you're using chopsticks to move bone marrow from the plate. Thats the kind of thing seen at my house as well...
It's all about speed and efficiency.
stroke survivors here … I was falling asleep (I watch cooking videos to relax) Then I hear Ed Bassmaster “look at that”😂 🤣

That’s just hemephobia, quick cooked blood taste savoury good

What temperature did you use for the oven and did you do bake or broil
500 for 30-40 min
So legit!
what is your thought on using roasted garlic in your butter?
That could be an awesome addition! Try it and let us know what how it turns out!
This is awesome!! Thank you! and btw, truly a perfect execution!
That is awesome and I will make some of that. Absolutely magical on a flat iron steak.
Jesus H!!!!!!!.... don't have enough salt....
We can always add more!

Gonna try to make it now, any tips still welcome tho
You just rocked my world. 🤯🤯🤯
Thanks! hope you try it out for yourself!
Way too much talking.
How many days can you keep it for
Just use a food processor 😉
Where's the fun in that? 😉
im going to try this with a steak, thank you!
🔥🔥🔥
I would have never thought to ruin bone marrow with this much butter. Seriously, why?
I agree, there’s nothing wrong with the pure flavor!
I'm thinking with all those spices you won't even be able to actually taste the natural delicious flavor of the marrow!
That looks so good!!!!!!
Why dont they just sell one of these in a jar or something, it so hard to make.
Absolutely delish.....I only added 1 additional ingredient and that is shaved cured egg yolk. Unbelievable flavor, I will be making this a part of my weekly routine.
Wow! That sounds amazing! Good addition!
But you never say what bones we buy to get the bone marrow
Hi Aria! You're going to want to use beef bones!
Sarap😋
cows are just so yummy 😍🍽️
I want marrow
Genius 🎉❤
Jesus that was long and drawn out ..... 16 minutes could have been done well and educational in 4
😍
what kind of bone is used to make this..
will any cow bone work or is it specific
We used bones from the cow's leg. If you go to any butcher and tell them you want beef bones for the marrow, that is most commonly what they will give you!
@@REKAVentures i know that
what i mean is what type of cow or any cow is fine ...
@@Xiad5 any cow should be fine!
Fucking sick bro! Can't wait to try
Thanks man! Love the enthusiasm but we’re a family friendly channel ☺️
Eat the marrow raw. Let it reach room temp first.
Do you salt it or Season at all?
What kind of bone is it ?
its a beef bone from the leg! if you go to a butcher and ask for a beef bone, they'll know exactly what to give you!
Dang looks so good!!!
For how long does the marrow go into the oven?
It went into the oven for around 30 minutes, it will brown up when it is close to being done!
No lie I gotta do this at Christmas
Let me know how that turns out!
New sub. I loved the edits lol
Thank you!
Really underrated channel.
Thank you for the support!
WoW.
That's the correct response 😎
Doing this tomorrow for dinner. Making it today.

This must be a salt bomb... Jesus dude
I am sorry, but I have hardly seen something more clumsily done..., even though the idea is interesting...
Dude you will get a overdose of salt to much not healthy and not tasty a dislike for you sir
