just in case you don't know the people behind this game are Illustrator Tomomi Kobayashi (SaGa series), renowned composer Masashi Hamauzu (SaGa, Final Fantasy XIII), writer Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger), game designer Kyoji Koizumi (SaGa series), and Masataka Matsuura (999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors). I honestly pre ordered this cause of the amazing writers working on it.
Silly title aside, this game actually looks pretty good. Might have to pick it up when it comes out.

I'm a huge fan of SaGa (own most of the games) and I loved the demo for this and I picked up the soundtrack!

+tsukinoakuma The concept seems to be because you're filling up a map. Although there's no excuse for explored territory to vanish behind you. If it was just for unexplored terrain, I would have thought that it's just a neat visual effect... but I have to agree that it's kinda puzzling.
+Seeker of All Formulas It seems like its kinda supposed to look like a pop up book or something. It's interesting. I don't think it was a technical limitation at all, it was definitely a design choice.
+tsukinoakuma The way these objects pop up, as you get near to them, reminds me of the Distortion World from Pokémon Platinum.

+ZeldaFreakGaming yes and no. Game chugs very much after you sold a 100% map and it gets inhabited by random npc's. Chugs in Shadow battles with elemental walls as well. But it's still a really fun game. Buying it again just to support it and then once more in Europe 😄

That world building as you travel reminds me of Bastion.
For everyone that is making fun of the title, this is nowhere near as bad as Infinite Undiscovery. Now that's a travesty of a title right there.

Looks great, I love how it has the "drawn" enviroments like Bravely Default, looks great. I can't wait for this game to release in Europe next year. I wish atlus had a n European brand so we could get the games earlier.

It runs on the bravely default engine, with looks like a splash of etrian oddessy map exploration, It looks great for a handheld until stella glow releases, perhaps could be good on its own!

That final card with collector's edition brings to mind something I've wondered for awhile: why do we not have a unified place to purchase game soundtracks from Nintendo titles?
I mean I know you can find them all online, but I genuinely want to give back to the artists who made the music to games I love.
Sorry. Unrelated, but I had to get it out there.
I'd have picked this game, if not for the fact that 7 characters are the only recruitable party members. If each of them had a team of 3-4 characters in their party fitting their story then i'd buy it at sonic speed. Meurs can have elemental golems in his party, like the water one. Filmia could have other talking animals, like rare ennemies that can talk or weird animal people like him. Owen with people that looks strong, like the king of adventurers.

These comments... The people comparing it to -Final Bravely Fantasy- Bravely Default is making me depressed when it's a awesome game in itself.
People bashing on it because the title of the game and comparing it to Bravely Default which after I played the demo, makes me shake my head when they compare that to this.
I would say more, but then I would get some Bravely Default nutjob fanboy hating on me till the day I die.

As someone who is simply judging by what was in the trailer, I believe that when people have been "comparing" it to Bravely Default, it is almost purely from an aesthetic point of view. No comments that I have seen have said compared the two as games.
Regarding the name, the "People bashing on it" are quite obviously making light-hearted jokes about it, and the only other comments about the title are that it is strange. But in a world where we can have "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" as a game title, people won't complain about it.
And yes, I did play Bravely Default, and I really enjoyed it, but that does not mean I, and anyone else who played and loved it, will simply ignore Legend of Legacy, nor will we compare it to Bravely Default anymore than we would to Final Fantasy, or any other (for lack of a better word) "generic" RPG.
As an end note: Hopefully when Legend of Legacy is released, it will be an enjoyable experience for us all.

+Yuu-Mon Musuedo Have you played the game yet? Im trying to figure out how long it is because I've invested in (relatively) expensive RPGs before, only to be burned by short gameplay. How does this compare?
Dominic Samaroo Don't really know how long it really is, but you can play it 30 times. I found the main town, and two dungeons that I can explore so far. I got almost all the characters recruited, and I put 6 hours in the game by only messing around in the first dungeon.
So far, the demo seem to have no cutoff point and you can play as long as you want if you don't boot up the demo 30 times, using them all up.
You can transfer your save file in the full version and continue where you left off too. Demo feels more like a free early access.

A trillion games on the 3DS and this is the first actually enticing me to buy one.
This looks neat, but I never finished... well, a lot of games, but I'm thinking of Bravely Default. I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy this now. I mean, it IS an Atlus game which means that the moment everything sells out in stores the price is going to head north of $50, easily.
This looks just like bravely default, though maybe slightly better, couldn't get into that game, may try this when the price goes down.
