Don't forget that an apartment in Mauritius comes fully furnished unlike in Nigeria where you're basically renting an empty house. And also, house rent in areas in Lagos and Abuja that are similar to Mauritius in look arennotnless than 1.5 million for a one bedroom flat. I think we need to take into cognisanze the relativity.

Actually enjoyed the video. Playfully interactive, insightful and digestive. On the whole I think Mauritius is a boring place for people that lived or grow up in any Nigerian city. Keep the good job on. Nice one.

Go to a grocery store and ask where you can get, 'Batate Blanc'. But it might sound rude if a woman was to ask that to anybody. Better let the man go first. That's a rough translation for Nigerian yam. The other white root they usually use on the Island is cassava as Mauritians we love puddings.
Better even Google a picture and show them. You would have more chance in markets though.
About plantains we don't have it but it can be grown as it's similar to a banana. You could maybe grow it where you renting with permission and tell the owner the first batch you give him free fried plantain.

Theodosia, you and your friends that come to tell us negative things about Mauritius as if we've not heard about the place seems to me like you're not patriotic. If you people claim that Nigeria is better in the areas you mentioned, we want to see you people back here in Nigeria. 'mean it's unfair that you're not even acknowledging the country that made you see the light of the day. I guess you need repentance. Unknown to you that the negative things you say can't stop Nigerians from migrating, except money. Your viewers know you're deceiving them from what you're saying, so cut it out.

I'm assuming this is in $ and not Rs. Although, it's hard to get an idea without a spreadsheet with income and outgoings. I always live off of savings when I go and haven't made the leap over to living off of income yet. I did get a good job last time of 5,000Rs per week, but only found a week's work, otherwise I may have understood incomings and outgoings better. I think I understand that savers is cheaper than super U to make your money last but I never fully managed to move like I have to other places. So what's cheap? How do you make a wage last? My plan was savers supermarket and taxi collective.
