Cost of Living in Mauritius

Mauritians have pride in their identity and culture. On the surface, one may only think it offers sun, sand, and beaches. However, there is so much to the island that meets the eye, firstly the island is very diverse due to their history, the island is home to multiple cultures, and these cultures live in harmony with one another, “One minute you will drive by a quaint church or colourful Hindu temple; the next you will be wandering around the Chinese quarter in Port Louis, passing modern street art or choosing between croissants or curry for breakfast.”
The island is also known for its excellent food, because of the multicultural nature of the island, you can experience a genuine taste of the world with one bite. It is also a good destination for golfers as they have hosted several golf tournaments over the years. Furthermore, it has lovely landscapes, mountains, and lovely nature reserves, and it is also home to one of the most iconic churches visited by tourists from many countries who come to Mauritius just to get married there, it is called Notre Dame de l'Auxiliatrice (Cap Malheureux).

I could easily afford $20,000 mur a month for rent. And still have about $60,000mur left over. And that is just my income my wife who is Cameroonian is 51 so she could work. I'm 70 in November.
