The 10 years renewable permit is not entirely true. Mauritius offers what is called YPOP visa and that depends on the company hiring you. Most companies will not provide you will a 10 year YPOP VISA.
You cannot bring in your family as a student. Only as a resident on a work visa or premium visa.
Every other thing you said is true.
Please note that you cannot really get sustainable jobs here in Mauritius for you to be able to change your visa from a student work permit. Before you earn more than 500Usd would take time.
Students here earn as low as 5000rs to 10kRs. Although as from next month interns will start earning 11k monthly based on government orders.
Please make sure you have skills sets before coming here. If not you'll suffer. Jobs are not easy to get here

withe all due respect my brother, 500 dollar iis not enough for accomodation nor to talk of food and other expenses. Mauritius is a safe and a beautiful place but not as cheap as you make it sound

You can live off 500$ in many countries a month as I have lived in many and know many who do it. But it depends on spending habits I believe

You can , but you will need to find a recruiter or agency that hires people abroad that comes to Mauritius on work permit and working visas..

Doctors make hundreds of thousands dollars here and it's amongst the best country in the world to live, very good for family and kids. Your profession is amongst the most requested in Canada..

A white friend of mine (a Chef) that I've been friends with since 2011 on Facebook want's to help me get a job in the UK and live with him Cuz he just started working with a company that brings foreigners to UK to work for them. Please will this be possible? Because I've seen people saying that getting a job in the UK is point based.

Mauritius is still not better or up to a state in Nigeria. Talkless of advicing Nigerians to leave Nigeria for Mauritius. I may not have traveled like wakawaka doctor. But as of date, I have been to 17 countries. But even on a free ticket, I will not go to Mauritius.

Mauritius island is Touristic island where we get Tourists from all around the world so it's not cheap at all. Everything is getting so expensive & Hard to live there mostly after Cyclone hit the island. 🙏♥️🇺🇸🦅🇲🇺🦤
