Nick, her life of music is so extraordinary none of it will ever be forgotten. Whatever artist in the world will come out with a new song which listeners predict will win awards and the conversation between two people will be about listening to her when she was 12 !? I've heard it called heart and soul. I think it's what I do when I sing about my husband who passed away. People usually cry and tell me it's when you give yourself to the songs meaning and the love you felt and they can feel an emotional connection. The guitarist's name is Ivan Mendez, and he became her home guitarist after she moved to LA at age 12. Before Ivan her guitarist was Egil Clausen. He was playing with her from she was 7, and he is still a close friend of Angelina and her family. What you witnessed here was yet another one take recording, POSSIBLY two. These recordings came about very randomly, as a result of Angelina and the guitarist meeting in her house to discuss music and have a good time. They never had any idea of which song they would choose, if any. This is why (and this recording is no exception to that rule) you almost all of the time can see Angelina reading the lyrics off a tablet on her lap or to her left. In this performance you can see her constantly looking to her left to read the lyrics. You can also see the left side of her face being lit up by the screen. Acoustic Angelina is Angelina at her most mesmerizing. Just an impromptu version with her accompanist, Ivan-unproduced, unfiltered, unprocessed. She’s 12 here, I believe, and her voice and interpretation take this to another level never reached with the original. There’s a sort of companion piece to this: it’s Ivan and Angelina again, just jamming, and it’s her cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. It is absolutely staggering. I really love her version of Stay, but her cover of A Million Years Ago just grabs your soul and makes you reflect on your own life. Clearly high up in her top ten and it is crowded up there. Her tone is just magnificent and mysterious squeezing every drop of emotion out of the melody and lyrics , and for her age she is completely in another league, a true prodigy, no hyperbole.. The Angel with a 1000 voices which popped up when many heard her singing so many different types of music from around 10 years old,,, and a new phrase that just popped up thanks to reactor "The Fairy Voice Mother" who said AJ is "50 Shades of Perfect" keep it up with the AJ!!!!

Ivan the guitarist said in an interview that the majority of these songs done in her home studio were done in one take a few were done in two takes if you notice she was reading the lyrics off of a laptop..
She is 12 years old here. This is a pretty perfect cover from Angelina. I couldn''t pinpoint anything in the song that she could have done better no matter how hard I would try. And the recording had been very quick with Ivan Mendez (the guitarist). This was the 1st or the 2nd take I think.

I wonder if the losses she had suffered in early life (a beloved grandfather, a close musical friend, and perhaps others) hasn't sensitized her to the emotions of love and loss and longing. I hear it in all her original compositions and many of her covers. Plus, she knows jazz, had studied it for years, even at this young age. I always get chills. This song is among my all-time Angelina favorites for its thrilling nuances, runs, sustains, and vocal beauty. Just subscribed, recommend you go back to 8 year old Angelina live performance at a festival Summer of 2014 in Norway “What a Difference a Day Makes”, right after she won Norway’s Got Talent and donated the 80,000 dollars to charity. I think to understand what she does you first must accept she is incredibly emotionally, musically empathetic. She has grown up absorbing music so that in a way music is her first language. I've heard it called heart and soul. I think it's what I do when I sing about my husband who passed away. People usually cry and tell me it's when you give yourself to the songs meaning and the love you felt and they can feel an emotional connection. Ivan the guitarist said in an interview that the majority of these songs done in her home studio were done in one take a few were done in two takes if you notice she was reading the lyrics off of a laptop..
She is 12 years old here. This is a pretty perfect cover from Angelina. I couldn''t pinpoint anything in the song that she could have done better no matter how hard I would try. And the recording had been very quick with Ivan Mendez (the guitarist). This was the 1st or the 2nd take I think.

I wonder if the losses she had suffered in early life (a beloved grandfather, a close musical friend, and perhaps others) hasn't sensitized her to the emotions of love and loss and longing. I hear it in all her original compositions and many of her covers. Plus, she knows jazz, had studied it for years, even at this young age. I always get chills. This song is among my all-time Angelina favorites for its thrilling nuances, runs, sustains, and vocal beauty.
