@@travel_adddicttagreed. I’ve loved her in everything I’ve seen her in. She would be typecast as the funny best friend in Hollywood but in England she’s played so many rich characters, each completely different from the next.
I've been backing her since I saw it. Actually, I watched Baby Reindeer because Jessica was in it, and I'd seen her give the most iconic comedic performance in Stephen Merchant's 'The Outlaws' with Christopher Walken and many other remarkable actors. Look at her other repertoire of excellence. 2013 'What Remains' is one such piece of work.
She had me routing for her, scared of her,sad for her,and laughing at her. I don’t think any actress brought out so many emotions in me. My god she portrayed the eff out of that monstrous character!
Aww! That was an (almost) perfect moment in the Emmy’s, but I still believe that Jessica Gunning should have been in the Lead Actress category and not the Supporting one. She made the role her own and she did it all perfectly. She made her character shine and it was very touching to see her gratitude to Richard Gadd (who looked so proud of her and looked almost tearful). Fair play, Jessica, you absolutely nailed it. Congratulations!
Looks lets be honest here, there was not a single person taking that Emmy away from Jessica Gunning this year. Her performance was hands down the best . She was more than just a terrifying villain, she made the character feel human, warts and all. The fact they had Kathy Bates, whose performance in Misery is still lauded today as one of cinemas best, giving her the award shows that many saw Jessica's Martha as an evolution of Kathy's Annie. BTW Kathy Bates is simply looking stunning in her older years.
Jessica was absolutely amazing as Martha. She surely was the MAIN ACTRESS and not the supporting one. So thrilled for her and hope to see her in many future shows
Gratifying as heck to see Jessica celebrated. She is great in everything she's been in. Love her in Pride: she's the beating heart of that film. Brill in Strike, too.
Gosh when she says “thank you Reindeer” I have a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat , and then to see Richard Gadd touching his heart ? Oh it’s all too much . What a beautiful speech, from a most deserving winner. Congratulations Jessica!
She nailed it. She wasn't only a villain she was a victim at the same time and she brought all the emotions forward. You only figure out when you watch the last minutes of the series.
She was amazing!!! She played all types of emotions: sad, angry, euphoric, etc and made you like her, pity her, and hate her, all at the same time; happy she got the Emmy but she deserved to be nominated as lead actress; she carried most of the mini series.
I was very impressed with her watching BR. But after seeing the interview with the real Martha my jaw hit the floor. I've watched BR 6 times after that just to truly take in how BRILLIANT she was in the part. I SERIOUSLY want to see more from her and Richard Gadd. What incredible talent.👏👏👏
no one deserves more than her..she killed that role to perfection
Such a great actress!

She is absolutely incredible and the fact that she can swap from serious drama in The State and comedy Inside no 9. ❤❤
the "Thank you Reindeer" at the end! Pure class!
I had to watch it again, I missed that the first time. I was laughing at her saying she was gonna sing. Lol
Yeah, thanks for being an uncared about male-male rape victim!! Sickening!
With a touch of a Scottish accent, too.
@@13strong not really
She's adorable.
no one, absolutely NO ONE deserved to win more than she did. she was spetacular. this woman is a FORCE.
If this was the Oscar’s she would win hands down. Her performance was so good.
this is Oscar for TV.. lol../
“So I’m gonna sing.” I knew she was going to be the speech of the night. God, I love her.
"Thats mai emmy"

Helpp😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Golden
😂😂😂😂
To be fair, the real "Martha" has been dragging her on Facebook. lol
She had me routing for her, scared of her,sad for her,and laughing at her. I don’t think any actress brought out so many emotions in me. My god she portrayed the eff out of that monstrous character!
you said it all. that's when you know you're watching a true thespian do their thing.
She made me hate her so bad too 😂
It’s coincidence that Misery’s Annie presented to Baby Reindeer’s Martha.😂
Good point.
ikr! and she looked so proud
Totally! She’s the Annie of this generation.
Good point
Nice catch lmao
The most deserving Emmy win in a long time❗️
It kills me the long banter before handing out the award but they force recipients to keep their acceptance speech and thanks short.
Halfway through the show it was obvious she was winning the Emmy and no one else had a chance
Never thought I'd see the legendary Kathy Bates and iconic Giancarlo Esposito side by side but here we are
Any particular reason u never thought that??
First nomination AND FIRST WIN 👏🏻❤️ so well deserved, I hope she’s cast for everything going forward.

SHE IS GORGEOUS!! Well deserved!!
she deserves this SO MUCH, she made me feel scared and sad in the same show, she was amazing!!!
When she started to laugh on stage... chills.
She laughed like Martha!
She scared the sh*t out of me. ... incredible performance well deserved ❤❤❤

Ugh the Emmy’s got it all right this year. So fkn proud of the winners
This cast was stacked. Jessica was incredible in this role. Well deserved!
Well deserved. A chilling performance that stays with you for a bit.
Jessica was absolutely amazing as Martha. She surely was the MAIN ACTRESS and not the supporting one. So thrilled for her and hope to see her in many future shows
She's a phenomenal and an effective actress. Congratulations! More projects to come.
"So I'm gonna sing." 🤣
Gratifying as heck to see Jessica celebrated. She is great in everything she's been in. Love her in Pride: she's the beating heart of that film. Brill in Strike, too.
🥲 Watching her thanking the adorable Richard Gadd in that heartfelt way made my eyes teary 💞
She clearly needs to be and win in the best actress category not supporting.
I guess the best chance of winning is to not go against Jodie Foster this year, despite the role being a clear lead in “Baby Reindeer”!
@@davy209 I guess you're right.
There’s only lead and supporting and she wouldn’t have gotten lead actress since Martha wasn’t the main character in the show
@@gyrosbounty5566 she was the lead female in it though. I would rate her lead and not supporting.
@@AT-st5drthe show is called baby reindeer not Martha
what she did with this role was just out of this world. she was the definition of perfect.
she killed that role and her speech! 🩷
One of the most memorable and indelible performances I've ever seen. She's magnetic. Absolutely killed it. So happy for her, thoroughly well deserved

She was incredible. My sister was watching and after ten minutes of seeing her on the screen I had to watch it myself
Gosh when she says “thank you Reindeer” I have a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat , and then to see Richard Gadd touching his heart ? Oh it’s all too much . What a beautiful speech, from a most deserving winner. Congratulations Jessica!

Baby reindeer was a great series that had me
It’s so charming how he cried more at her getting the award than himself 😭
Incredible actress, so happy she won ❤❤❤
By doing the villain theme, they already gave away the winner.
It’s the main score of the show
She’s awesome
