Making a Denim patchwork jumpsuit from old jeans | Thrifted transformation idea | Sewing tutorial

Welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Jess and I love doing DIY, making clothes in a "simply but pretty" way.
In today's video, I'm going to share with you how I made my Denim patchwork jumpsuit from my old jeans. It's a super cool jumpsuit and perfect to challenge your creativity.
To make this jumpsuit, please check out some of my basic information below:
Sewing machine: Brother Auto Tension
Material: 3 pairs of jeans in big size to get the most of the fabrics
Measurements: 80-72-92 (bust-waist-hip). I'm 165cm and usually wear Small size.

Hi Jess! I really love the pattern. My butt width is A LOT bigger than my hip width, so should I use the butt width for the hip width at the top of the pattern?
Ref: waist 78, hip 91, butt 99

I really love this and want to make my own, question for anyone who is more experienced at drafting your own patterns (just starting here 👋) can I follow the ‘1/2 of this seam and the length of this plus 1/10 the length of this seam ‘ instructions just using my own measurements?? (Not sure if that makes sense) I’m obviously not the same size as her 😂

Dear Jess. When you say ‘1/4 of my waist line + 7cm’ Do you add 7cm to your waist measurement and then 1/4 it, or do you 1/4 your waist measure and THEN add 7cm?

I did like I said. Mean you do 1/4 waist size first. Then add 7cm later.

Thanks a lot! To take neck size, it's the width between 2 sides of your neck. The shoulder size is the width between 2 ends of your shoulder, right before it goes to the arm

How did you seew the thik part of the fabric? Didn't the needle break up?

I used a very thick needle for jeans. And also need a strong machine for it as well
