Martin, been following your stuff since the Manzella forum days. This might be one of the best things you’ve ever posted. When I do this procedure, my grip is WAY different than how I grip it now (somewhat confirming some theories I’ve had). Can not wait for quarantine to be lifted to start hitting balls with this drill
I agree with below poster, this is some of the best stuff I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot in 55 years. In my book Martin Chuck is the best teacher, he can convey things in a very simple yet inciteful way. Thanks again for sharing your vast knowledge, obviously Knudsen trained.
Martin, I had not seen this method for fine tuning your grip, and getting organized at the top. I have incorporated this into my pre shot routine when practicing, with great results. After getting setup as demonstrated in the video, I mix in some hitting some shots with the split grip, and the Rory drill where stops his driver with the split grip. Not sure why it works, but it has really helped my lower body sequencing as well. Thanks
The concept of not trying to square the face by tumbling the club over was golden for me. I have been trying not to steepen my shaft in transition for a long time and could not get results. For some reason knowing my desire to tumble the club over was driven by an incorrect way to square the face-up was a lightbulb moment. After just a little bit of practice, I am having good results. Contact is much much better.
Was curious. So I just tried this and noticed at address, my clubface points left. But I just trusted it without any other manipulations and swung and hit the ball. Hit the ball pretty good! Just looks funny at setup. But if it works, it works.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing, coach. Cheers, TH
Great video Coach! Do you have any advice on stopping that late over the top at the bottom kick the clubhead out move?

The Goofy Dad Golfer you may have just learned about a “pre-stressed” lead arm.
