Change your interviewer to someone with personality and not sooo boring 😒
*Me:* It's enough Andrew Scott interviews for today. Time to go to sleep.
*Also* *me:*
i feel so seen by this comment, 5 years later lmao
“Love isn’t about the length of the relationship, but the potency of the feeling.” 😭💯👌🏽
Andrew is finally getting the recognition he deserves but he deserves SO MUCH MORE , also, I’m so glad he’s out of that Moriarty thing
I agree but I also love him as Moriarty. I love him as himself and any character. But I understand why he gets irritated sometimes bc everyone only knows him as "that guy who plays Moriarty" ( and now hot priest) he's so talented and absolutely incredible. Ahhh love himmm!!!!❤️
I’m trying to shake him out of Moriarty in my head! He was great in this role though. :)
I agree and disagree with you. It’s wild to think someone could almost steal a scene from Benedict Cumberbatch AND Martin Freeman, but that pool scene in series one Sherlock will be one of the best scenes on television ever because he played Moriarty at so many levels, he was scary and funny and intriguing and sexy and disgusting... His portrayal of Moriarty in Sherlock was the third point of that amazing triangle. I agree with you that it’s great he’s not being pigeonholed (he actually mentioned in a different video how he had to change representation after gaining notoriety from Sherlock because he was being pushed to accept roles exactly like Moriary; I think that’s a testament to his character as a person and his commitment to his craft) but it’s important to recognize Moriarty in his roles because Andrew put himself or bits of himself in Moriarty. He’s said he reveled in playing that type of crazy and to find himself in the role. Moriarty got my attention and the Priest got my respect. I’d mentally disconnected him from Moriarty halfway through the restaurant scene in 2.01 and his last line at the end leaving her I saw the Priest as a very intriguing character.
i swear to god he has the most beautiful smile in the entire world ugh he makes me so happy
Andrew is so beautiful in every way.
his beautiful neck...
I met him during the summer after seeing him in the play 'Present Laughter' in London. He takes selfies with his fans and my hand is touching his 'beautiful neck' in the photo...and it IS beautiful! I can die happy now...LOL!
His arms....
@@elliluha7102 I’ve never been more jealous in my entire life
@@keira9107 A couple of my friends have said the same thing too..LOL! Wish I could post my photo of him for you...but then you'd want to kill me..LOL!! Take care xxx
No, they are already gone
I love how much work Andrew puts into trying to find the best, most artistic, honest answer to the questions. He always seems to be very open about his acting. I'm really in awe of how much work he puts in to be honest in his performances.
Agree
Andrew Scott is such a smart man and clearly loves acting. No wonder he is so good at it!
I love how detailed Andrew's answers are to the questions, he really digs into human emotion no wonder he's so good
It's nice to see that Andrew embraces his "Hot Priest" status, it looks like he's really enjoying himself and finds it a lot of fun. I think this role did him a lot of good by introducing him to new fans who are not Moriarty "fixated". In this interview and in others before he stated that he really enjoys playing characters more similar to him on a personal level and I think this role really allows people to see the real person behind the character, even more so because like Phoebe Waller-Bridge said herself, she wrote the character of the Priest based on Andrew's "heart and hotness"
he is one of the most intelligent and genuine people i love what he says here
He is one of my favorite actors & I think that he will be perfect as Tom Ripley. I'm very excited to see him play that character because I'm confident that he will make the part his own in his unique & fabulous way. He is a joy to watch in everything he does! Also I love that he is still so genuine & humble; I hope that he never loses that part of himself.
His arm.. His arm... 😚 his neck... His beautiful neck ☺
What an incredible interview! Andrew is such an articulate, open, creative, deeply thoughtful person. He has a long, fascinating career ahead of him.
Scott is so naturally talkative 😅
50 minutes. Yes please. 🥰😍🥰
Such an amazing interview! Andrew is a darling and I could listen to him talking for days, but apart from that, the conversation was so interesting! The flow and how everybody was captivated. Really good job, great questions! We could see how confortable Andrew was.
I love how the interviewer brings it back around to Fleabag at the end. I think Fleabag was talked about more than the show he came for. Loved it.
Wow, this is my new favorite Andrew Scott (hello, gorgeous) interview to watch. He is so insightful, witty, deep, and WONDERFUL!! love him so much ❤️
Although I wish Andrew were more famous, as he totally deserves it, I love how he's so content about his life and what's happened to him ( his experiences/opportunities) and where he is now .he's so humble, I admire him so much. The world needs more Andrew Scott's :) ahh I lovveee himmm ❤️✨
he is a gem in acting/artist industry
Stop the lights!!!! I love this!
Andrew first came to my attention when he played Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes. He creates the most chilling psychopathic version of the character ever. What an amazing performance. And, as a result, I started to follow his career. Contrast that performance to the one he plays in “This Beautiful Fantastic”. By the way, I highly recommend this film. In this he plays a warm and nurturing caregiver sort of person diametrically opposed to Moriarty but equally skilled. Subsequently, I am a huge fan and appreciate him and and more with each interview I see him in. He is intelligent, warm and engaging.
Who doesn’t love Andrew Scott!
Edit: I’m going to sit as he does from now on.
29:00 he’s so right, this is so important, this is why he’s my absolute fav .
okay but can we talk about his outfit,,,, the white undershirt with the black cardigan, those shoes with the striped socks,,,,, AND HIS NECKLACE FOR GOD'S SAKE *chef's kiss*
Ahhh i was hoping someone wrote this. I LOVE his whole look so much
Haha he looks like a cute little innocent baby rapper haha❤️
*His smile got me melted harder than frosty the snowman*
Andrew is like ET. Good actors make you see what they're feeling. Andrew makes me feel everything he's feeling.
What an inspiring interview
This is an amazing interview. This interviewer is awesome and Andrew as well, as always
His hair is more than unique, he’s AmAzInG. Who agrees?
I love him so much 🤧💜💜💜👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Dude, I only came here for Andrew , but this interviewer is great...
He is so insightful to listen to.
Really enjoyed this interview! Hopefully he comes back again to promote his next show!
I adore Andrew scott in everything I have been privileged to experience.
Agree with you, Ricky! After 20 years, we have left NYC for greener, less populous hills. It might be fun to be a "tourist" in the future...
Andrew love you 🖤🖤
this is a great interview, and I'm so happy Andrew is getting more exposure here in the States.
I do wish the interviewer had done a bit more research...Andrew absolutely hates the phrase, "openly gay," (he's spoken about it many places including the Homophilia podcast) and you can tell he squirms a bit during the interaction at 13:55
moiraine_damodred Agreed, but didn’t notice that it bothered him that much. I guess it’s just an Americanism. Really enjoyed this interview too, as he’ll no doubt have to do the rounds of the generics talk shows, where it’ll be the usual dull and boring simple questions. Learnt a lot about him here and have gained enormous respect for his talent and intellect.
Thanks for the heads up, I've fallen behind on Homophilia.
I have no problem with homosexuality but is he gay?
@@carmelicedcoffee2235 yep he is :) and one of the greatest actors of our generation
I think that's why he stopped himself mid-sentence, though, and went with "open actor" which probably made it more awkward.
HE IS SO CUTE AND HE IS GREAT ON THE SHOW
Great interview!
Good interview interview by Ricky. Some great questions asked.
At 20:27 I thought he was going to say “I’ll burn the heart out of you” I’ve just watched Sherlock for the billionth time so don’t think I just know him as Moriarty, I know him as Andrew the talented and underrated actor. 😜
Loved him in Fleabag
Andrew Scott: Being good at sex is something you can cultivate
Me: I volunteer as tribute!
😝😁same
I volunteer too
Really great interview
Andrew, please set up an acting school so the next generation can learn from you!
38:07 just a bookmark for me to revisit a great analyzation of Fleabag characters
35:45 discussion of vulnerability
This is really good interview. Always Andrew is open and talkative, just fun to listen to! But noticing that the interviewer messes it up a couple times (things he should have known about Andrew). As the interview goes on he is mirroring how Andrew sits and Andrew is leaning more towards him. It is like they are on a date! Sweet!!
Hot Priest is the hottest man on tv right now.
I wish more than anything rn I was there right outside that window. Just walking by and I glance inside and THERES ANDREW SCOTT!!!! Hahaha I would've been so happy I would've fainted, no doubt. I would probably just photobomb the whole time haha ❤️
On directors telling him how to cry: "I like it when it comes out of one eye."
OMG FINALLY
I am in love❤😂
I am so mad. So mad that I missed this live. Ugh
Charismatic Mr. Scott
Great actor
He has a great back. See the sex scene between Priest and Fleabag. And he seems to have great on-screen chemistry with everyone.
He is not overtly hot or anything as the internet seems to think actually but what he undoubtedly is ; is that he is a fireball of charisma and great acting skills which makes him stand out and people just narrow it down to the 2 words💁♀️😒
It's sad that everyone simply knows him as "hot priest" or "Moriarty" there so much more to him he's so talented and such an absolute GENIUS especially when it comes to his acting skills and what roles he chooses to perform. Very few people could even tell you anything about his life. It's really sad. I wish he was more famous, he a bajillion percent deserves it haha I wish more people knew about his childhood, family, other roles hes played, etc. ❤️
38:16 I had many conversations with myself and we agree that that is what happened
Wow wow wow. How can a man be so intelligent, funny, kind, sweet and sexy at the same time. Oh, and charismatic! 🦊
Best combination in a man! 💕
How close this studio is to the road!
3:35 his laughter 😍🤣
Charismatic!
What an absolute babe...who's eloquent, smart, talented, and passionate as fuck about his craft. Also funny, and a LIBRA. As he should really, as he should.
I'm captivated by the substance of this material. A book with comparable insights redefined my worldview. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint
Wonderful actor. That neck.
What about his voice?! And His accent?! 🤤🤤
01.09 movie/series name?
his beautiful accent 9:36
You do know that your theme music is "We Three Kings of Orient Are" ; well, even if you don't know, it is .
excuse me when is this interviewer gonna learn how to interview (i.e. not interrupt, not answer the question he's asking, etc)? asking for a friend
Oh thank you, I was so annoyed by that, too, especially interrupting him all the time! I mean, Andrew often answers quite long, but what he says is so interesting, no need to shut him up or speed up the conversation. Some cringe moments here...
9:48 Hot priest story
Andrew... You haven't seen any other reincarnation of Moriarty huh? Try the anime version. 🥴👌🏼 I recommend
Benign Dictator lol! I say to my classes when I'm not going to allow something, ""Actually this is a benevolent dictatorship so no"
its so odd hearing andrew with an american accent
It is Irish
Always when I'm watching videos with Andrew Scott my main thought is oh God he looks so done...
you think its because of his hair?..
@@lunaAvA jep 😂
@@hannaperle8953 I think it has its own personality! 😅
everyone's talking about his neck....
It’s a quote from Fleabag.
his beautiful pale hands
Ugh. This interviewer...
Yeah...Ripley might be bi or pan...or...
As Moriarty .. I will burn the haaaart out of you ...bloody terrifying.. As hot priest .. I bloody love Winnie the Pooh .. Piglet ( hand on heart) -
ad-orable .. Phoebe enhanced his sweetness for max effect .. Moriarty could never be defined as hot ..
