  • Highlights from Tyson Bomberry's past season at Syracuse. Bomberry should SIGNIFICANT improvement from last season in terms of on-ball defense, especially against Tehoka Nanticoke. Along with that, he has some of the best stick skills for a defender in college lacrosse and oh yeh, he's absolute bull when he goes to lay the lumber. Let me know what you guys think down in the comments below and enjoy!

As an old, washed up take-away defenseman who has some issues with the way the game's played nowadays, it's so good to see a hard hitting take-away guy thrive.

That's a tough call. Mellen could keep up with Spencer's change of direction but couldn't match his physicality. I'll never understand why in field you can hit someone without the ball 9ft away on a gb but you can't finish your check on someone who had the ball less than half a second before. The announcer said the guy was defensless when he passed the ball .... probably cause he passed the ball too late. Don't put yourself in that position next time. Also, who tf cares if he takes a hand off his stick as long as he keeps his shoulder and elbow down. The only thing that changes is with two hands on the stick, the attacker gets a little visit from the guys butt-end...

Lacrosse Analytics The game has fundamentally changed. Granted Bomberry has a habit of hitting with one hand on the stick. But several of his hits were solid; he hit center body mass, not up high, and not from behind. But still the flags come out. It isn’t a penalty just because the attackman falls down and says ouch
