@@thomasboushier2972 I don't understand what point you are trying to make. Terps had great defense but ND was better. Terps had very disciplined offense but ND had way too much talent. I think it's impressive that Maryland made as far as they did. No one was going to beat ND in the championship this year.

Wouldn’t quite say that yet. But they are getting closer. And boy are Coach Corrigan and company much easier to like/pull for than Saban and ‘Bama are. That’s for sure.
Maybe in the future, but 2 championships don't make a dynasty. ND does get so many top 10 high school recruits so this could continue.... but 2025 is Syracuse year with only 2 top 10 high school recruits on the team.
I grew up in Syracuse and my buddy had a poster on his wall when we were a kid and the poster said Syracuse Lacrosse lord of the rings and it had rings hanging off the strings of a lacrosse stick

Not surprised that espn only knows how to post highlights of goals. From an outsider’s perspective, you’d probably wonder what else there is to include, but if you know and appreciate the game, you’d realize that there’s so much more content such as defensive stands, saves, and turnovers. These highlights are so obvious and predictable that it wasn’t even worth posting.

Well Big Ten another example of Notre Dame sports besting the champion of your Big Ten Conference. It may be hockey one year, Lacrosse another, baseball and football, but, the Irish will never be a Penn State if it were a member of your conference because we win national championships.

@@shawnbrennan7526 Shawn 1988, and should have won in 1989 and 1993. I was at ND stadium for Miami 88, Orange Bowl Miami 89, at USC in 88, Big Ten Champ Michigan 88.
@@shawnbrennan7526 By the way Shawn Notre Dame last won a Natty in 88. Collectively the Big Ten Conference has won only three since 1997. Michigan shared with Washington in 97, Ohio State won in 2014 and Michigan in 2023. Ohio State won another in 1969. ND won in 66, 73, 77, and 88. Should have won in 89, 93.

i always found this sport funny for some reason cant take it seriously
The Native Americans created lacrosse as a proxy/training for war where they died playing and was the first sport in America.. national sport of Canada with hockey too. Rich more upper-class private and prep schools on the east coast adopted it hence the hate from lower-income people. Outside of that if you're not from one of those rich popular areas it's probably similar to someone watching hurling in Ireland for the first time. I always thought hurling looked funny and lacrosse looked cool - it's just about where you're from, socioeconomic status and what you're used to. Real fun sport too it's a mix of football and basketball plus hitting people with metal and titanium sticks

Maryland should be proud that they made it this far. They were a wildcard team in what was arguably still a rebuilding year. Notre Dame was just too dominant.
