I realise as you said the 356 was a sudden change of plan but saying things like “356’s didn’t come with disc brakes” (they did)….and then getting the year of manufacture wrong by 10 years…(they stopped making 356’s long before 1968. As you said…they’re a wonderful way to enjoy the roads of a country like Switzerland.
My bad. Apologies, a late night edit to get this out meant I missed the 68 slip, meant to say 58. Regarding the disc brakes I was passing on what someone had literally just told me. When were they available with disc brakes out of interest?
@@andyb8122 thanks, after a bit of googling I came across this. I guess the person was telling me that at the time (and this model) you couldn't get them.
What would you take to the alps for a drive in the sun?
porsche 993 speedster
Yes yes
my Mtb, have done many times lol
A Lotus Elise or an Alpine, need the lightness!
There's something so endearing about older cars (cars from my childhood and older), maybe I'm getting old but I find them so desirable.
100% there is a lot in something like this, so simple. I really want to drive an old merc with no roof

That must be an amazing experience.
It was so good, so chilled and perfect for taking in the scenery
Perfection mate!
Not a 68
Believe he meant ‘58. As the bumpers on this car don’t look like a 60’s B or C or have a double grill and the fact the 356’s last year was 64.
The perfect trip in a perfect Porsche 😃🤩👍
loving this auction video series!
A few more to come!
