@@chuquiii the music are 100% better than van fleet, van fleet dress all fancy and give out an easy representative of a new "modern LZ" where the music are just a bunch of guys in regular clothes and one lead singer with shaggy long hair who sings like a screaming jet.
I was there off to the right of the stage near the trees!!! One of the most amazing sets I've seen by any band ever!!!! Was so loud you could feel the music hitting you!!! Loved it!!! Now 62 years young and am sure my ears suffered from it!!! But it was worth it!!!
I bought this CD because I thought the cover was cool. Ended up being one of my favorites of all time. Hard to believe they were around 17 years old when they did the album. wow
@@jonnybeeston i saw them live about 5 years after this just before they broke up and good god were they incredible, I've seen plenty of live bands and the show I saw of theirs in 2008 was the best live performance i have ever seen... they split when they were the best live rock band on Earth imo
You know, when I feel bored about other music, I think about them. That's why i'm here now, I think I was pretty shocked when I watched the music video of The People like 10 yrs ago. Can't believe it. Their music is really far beyond the time.
Han Qiu they were ahead of their time, but not by a long way. They were the first of the Indy-disco groovers, preempting the likes of Frank Ferdinand and Kasabian etc, but they failed to deliver on the all important 2nd album. The lead singer battled hard with depression and they split up prematurely. Truth be known, they had the world at their feet but they lost their bottle, too much too young I'm afraid!
Was there and watched this set!!!! Was so loud my ears are still recovering 19 years after!!! They were brilliant and one of if not the best performance of any band that day!!!!!
I went to an Incubus concert, and The Music opened for them.. I listened to that album often but had no idea they were going to be there ... Awesome bonus!
@casaraku1 were they? I remember telling my girlfriend at the time I was way more into The Music, than Coldplay 😂. I will actually never forget that trip. It was absolutely freezing out, I'm used to cold weather, but that night was brutal! I remember driving up and there being a good 12"+ of snow on the road. That stretch of road after you leave vermont and there's just nothing for awhile. Overall one of the better concerts I've been too. Could really care less about Coldplay, especially anything really after 2003 lol.
Watched them at Sydney. Massive sound filled the whole area. Everne was dancing. Didn't matter what you where doing it was a stop and groove situation.
The most underrated band of their generation. They shit on the bands out today. Long live the music
I hear you LOUD and CLEAR Brother!!!!
I genuinily think this band sounds more contemporary and representative than Great Van Fleet, if they come up right now, just my feeling and opinion

Why did they name themselves The Music. Unfindable for the internet
so true lol... they had the potential to be a generational band
How did these guys not make it huge like the Arctic Monkeys? They were fucking wicked, massively underrated
Arctic monkeys are rubbish
The British music press didn’t like the led zeppelin heavy sort of sound. They wanted more of the libertines
they had the worst name ever.

So you were about 43 at the time? Great.
Omg so was I 😂 standing on the right
Didn't see them at BDO but saw them a cupla times elsewhere....defo in my top 10 of all time great live bands ❤

So underrated, great voice great guitar great bass great drums ..just a great sounding band
This band had a great sound, his guitar player was very powerfull...
He gets a great tone out of that Les Paul!
@@pauljordan4452 Go and say hi, Adam is very active on Twitter and the band is playing a show in 2022 in Leeds - twitter.com/nutter_adam
the entire band have tone and feel, it is what made them that good.

@@wangchungcowboy I was lucky enough to see them play a few weeks ago for a special show in Leeds they still have it.
Great style ..whole band..great voice
One of the rare cases when the live performance is Even better than the one offically recorded
Not sure what other bands you follow but I could list of quite a few that on par or better than their records in a love setting.
すごいね。
この頃のTHE MUSICって、パワーあるわ‼️
2023 love it
Bloody awesome song. Can't believe these guys weren't bigger!
2018 still my fav Band!!
2022 and I can confirm this.

Dude, that's why I'm here now in 2020, still awesome
Such an under rated band. So young here as well.
It's like going to a rave w/o a DJ. I remember when I bought this CD back in 2003. This song was the most amazing song on it, still is.
Getaway is my favourite on it.
Same feeling
Check out The New Deal…they usually play live instruments for 3 hours straight to replicate a DJ set with live instruments
Questi ragazzi meritavano di più 👏👏👏🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Was there and watched this set!!!! Was so loud my ears are still recovering 19 years after!!! They were brilliant and one of if not the best performance of any band that day!!!!!
Agreed!
Saw them last week was a blessing still as good as they ever were.
Una agrupación genial.... infravalorada en la difusión. Es simplemente de lo mejor. Geniales..😂😂😂.
That, boys and girls, is how it's done
Fuck, they were so good
I almost forgot to watch this today
wow thanks for uploading this. so underrated band and loved them years ago
hey monday morning...........see what youre missing....i cant live my live like this boy..........
These kids were cool.
The greatest band ever from leeds ❤
These guys had such a MASSIVE impact on me. still like to "The Music" up my guitar playing occasionally lol
love this band!!!

Should of been colossal!!, what a band, sound,vibe...they had it all 👍🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Saw them live in montreal in 2003. Well worth the drive from central VT. They opened for coldplay.
And the Music were the talk of the town the next day.

DAVID Loveridge Greetings from Mexico!

Sound amazing.
Amazing band
This is the set I watched on channel v as a kid, and learnt what live music was
Robert now in Kasabian🙌
Phil Jordan giving it belltinkle on the drums. What a set!!!!!
Big ups for big day out
What a fucking brilliant band. Yorkshire's finest!
Why didn't it happen for these? I thought they were gonna be MASSIVE when they came out
Ahhh they were so good
Alternative powerfull hard rockers
Saw these three times in the space of a year, the best being at Blackpool Winter Gardens. Awesome live.
This is a bit all over the place though.
2021 from Honduras!!
thank you.....
Saw them in a strange live free festival in Florence together with Kelis and Le Vibrazioni.
I genuinily think this band sounds more contemporary and representative
than Great Van Fleet, if they come up right now, just my feeling and
opinion
I was about to comment the same thing, the music is greta van fleet done right
I use a couple of their songs in my dj set, I've always appreciated their sort of "Post-Baggy" :)
+John Duffy hi, a lot of things: Britpop, Indie, Madchester, Post-Punk, Soul...
John Duffy Many thanks, man! I've just finished a dj set :D
Quite good, and what about you John?
And you what stuff do you use man?
And still love
YASSSSSS. Temple Newsham Park. Who’ in??
Just hope this covid crap not gonna ruin it
2024
cracking song
I loved this band. Where are they now?
they broke up in 2011
Too bad to hear that. At least the Singer has a Solo Career?
The DOT, he should be releasing solo album as well this year or next
FUCK YEAHHHHH

Some Mars Volta vibes going on!
If its too good to be true,
It probably is.
DOPE

best of british.should have been bigger.
This video is why compression is lame. But, The Music are / were epic.
Muz and I were there xx
Potenza
1,150 views = the problem with the world
Man, in 2020 I wish this was still the problem....
I heard this Guy The New singer in kasabian
19 People Who like regueton maybe 😅🤦😁
Ma che fine hanno fatto?
Love these guys so much! but the drummer needs a metronome
The singer dances like Mr burns from the Simpsons
τραγούδαει
Ontws
The singer looks like that singer from The Darkness
Wtf is doing this crowd...
Questi sì che erano un gran gruppo! altro che quegli scappati di casa dei maneskin!
Great band! But can you do it on a 40 degree day in Australia and its a NO! Stick to England.
back before big day out sucked
Most cancer song of 2003
