I saw them on MTV, while I was working in jail, cleaning up. I threw away everything and started dancing and jumping, not caring that I could loose that small job, that permitted me to survive. No momy, no family, anything...in Italy jail is jail. Not a vacation...so, if U are alone..anyway, I said:"That's my son!" - and they believed me!😂😂😂
Same, I remember in 2003/4 when Kasabian first hit, I preferred The Music. I actually saw them as rivals to The Music as they had quite a similar sound! Kasabian went on to have the global decades long stardom and The Music gradually became less visible until they split. Ironically Rob Harvey is now a touring member of Kasabian!
@@lucasm3879 personally I only rated a couple of tracks off kasabians first album, basically club foot and iD but that's just my taste, I think what you said is also true about the music... Again, it's my opinion but I was completely invested in the music from the first and best time I saw them in 2001 supporting oasis till around 2003ish , there's great stuff on welcome to the North but for me they were at their best around the time of just before the first album dropped, I actually think their demos and EPs were their best stuff, I think intense touring killed them really and being so young was prob a big part of it and signing to a major label where they were a bit controlled .... But for around 18 months they were something else... Really special, like oasis were on def maybe, those are prob my 2 favourite bands and there was a lot of similarities , major difference is the music never got huge but like most people who saw them around 2001/2002 we all thought they would be huge, I remember taking my mates to the, Astoria when they supported doves and my mate just looked at me 30 secs into The dance and mouthed " Their gonna be massive" !! They just had it didn't they?? Rob was prob the best front man I've seen, even above Ashcroft or Liam for raw presence, they were incredible musicians and had chemistry like no other band I've seen live... Such a shame really,, I thought they would be as big as oasis or u2, Serge looks so out of place fronting them now, he looks like hype man for 50 cent or Eminem, not a front man
Complete genius at age 20! Incredible music!
Rob Harvey reminds me of a very young Angus Scott and a young Robert Plant, all at the same time!! what a dude!!
one of the GREATEST underrated bands EVER!
Absolutely
They kick so much ass.

Kasabian were quality in the earlier years, Empire is a superb album.
I’ve lost interest in them since they chucked Tom out though.
