Almost 2 decades since this came out and it's still an absolute tune. Brings back memories of road tripping after high school. Hope all the guys in the band are doing great. Thanks for making this album.
Remember hearing this on radio 1 first time it was played and it blew me away after waiting for new music from them ..,wasn’t blown away by the album as a whole but this track is incredible and come what may which were the first 2 tracks they sent out as tasters ..
Agreed. The name didn't help. Was tricky to search of them even back in the 00's! Rob's various addictions probably didn't help, but i'm not sure they were managed/promoted effectively. I think I'm right in remembering that The Music were managed by the same guy/team as The Streets? They may have been more successful if they'd had a more conventional 'rock' management & strategy...
One of my favourite bands ever! You gotta love a heavy rock band so funky that you can actually dance to them! And I actually believe a major contributor towards them not taking off and conquering the planet was their name.
I was obsessed with this band in the early 2000's...but I havent listened to them in a decade. This is great to hear again, and still sounds as good as it did back then. Awesome, and they were from my home town too!
+Nigel Fortune all money and who you know and sell your soul to the devil, then they would have got somewhere.... i respect them for not going that route..... they stuck with god, they will be blessed...
I was absolutely obsessed with this album back when I was 17. Saw you guys at the big day out in adelaide, Australia. Criminally underrated as others have said
Incredible band, Robs voice is do good. Excellent live glad I got to see them, hopefully they get together again soon. I know robs been playing with the streets for a bit.
Just been travelling across the planet for a bit. Nobody had ever heard this band, nor this song. I make it my duty to share this album with everyone I can if they like decent music. Oh, and it usually mindfucks people when you tell them that Kasabian were THEIR support act!
PikeyAlchemist First time I saw these boys was 08-May-2003 at Bridlington Spa supported by Kings of Leon during on of their early visits to UK. Went to last gig in Leeds too. Sadly missed & should have been huge.
one of the best live bands i have saw. saw them years ago in the barras, abc n QMU, TITP and final show in hometown. wish they would get back together.
This is sad that a phenomenal band gets just 75k views in 16 years!!!!! That's the amount some artists get in one day!!!!!! Well - I guess it's not what you know, but who you know. Good news is that The Music is 500 times better than all those others - and lucky their not in this for the money...
@HeadlightMorningGlow Its from the DVD they released in 2005 called 'Welcome to Japan' it had several additional tracks on it from Liverpool Academy. This is one of those...
for many years ,all the new musik ,was and stil are ,very alike eatch other.the music has a destinctive sound and i belive in that just in being original and honest,is so rear now that ,just that could be and would be enough but they are also always true to them selves.and that is a reer thing today . i really love these guys.a true beliver , i have become. after heering this band. they are just so fucking greath.

Your mind is always closed but your mouth is always open.
Possibly my favourite lyrics because it's so true.
The sheer noise these boys made was like no other... it’s still banging now. I’m right back watching them at the Astoria when I hear this 🙌🏼
They're such an amazing band, how are were they not massive!? Its beyond me

Criminally underrated band.
This is only decent export from Leeds. From the debris comes a majestic flower. Total bliss to hear their music. Rock on brothers.

冬が来るたびに聴いてる
Its a crying shame this band never became huge. Excellent heavy music that pisses on what passes for rock music these days.
+Nigel Fortune all money and who you know and sell your soul to the devil, then they would have got somewhere.... i respect them for not going that route..... they stuck with god, they will be blessed...
such is life yep. Better to die as legend than to live as sellout (Nico Vega, I'm looking at you).
Oct 2020 - Still fresh - Massive love for these guys - Underrated.
Most underated band ever. Fell in love with theae guys. They are from another time.❤

Possibly my favourite by these lads!!
Me recuerda cuando era joven y sonaba esta canción, buenísima! Merece muchas mas vistas. 🎧
Kickass since day one!
10年ぶりに聞いてみて、やっぱりかっこいい。
当時ただのU2フォロワーじゃんと思ったけど、ロックミュージックがメインストリームからほぼ死滅した今の時代に聴くと込み上げてくるものがある
what brilliant track this is, so much energy and the lyrics are brilliant as well. Will stand to be an all time classic :-)
Not watched this for ages still a classic

The lead singer is now the guitarist and backing singer for Kasabian. He basically Took Serge place, and Serge became frontman.

Maybe even - At The Drive-In?
A Mexican's favorite song.
I still don't know what Britney Spears had against them. (A billion internet tokens for anyone who gets this.)
I don't know why this video is titled "(Live in Liverpool)", while that track definitely exists, this clearly isn't it.
Who promotes bands up there?? These guys smashed it down south. What happened ffs??
