Yo Broseph, I love it when you acknowledge your viewers in the comment section, and answer their super technical questions. This must have been a lot of work to put together, but you make it seem your effortlessly. lol Hats off to you, and the behind the scenes BBMC Team. -Chuck
I have a thinkware u1000 and power cell 8, knowing what output cable I need now. Does that mean I need to fuse the input cable to the battery pack to the car to get the parking mode feature. Can you help me please?
Sorry to hear you've gotten a bit confused there. The input wiring for the battery will not be affected, and should be taken out of the equation, just make sure it only powers when the car is on. For your Thinkware camera, you need to splice an unspliced output cable for the battery pack, to a thinkware hardwire kit. Alternatively, we pre-splice these cables ourselves here: www.blackboxmycar.com/products/battery-pack-replacement-cables?variant=39276551274551
hey i love the videos. do you have any examples of the "Thinkware Multiplexer Heavy Duty Bundle" sample videos? I wanted to see all three infared cams in action and what that looks like. Do you have a video that shows the difference between heavy and the uber package? I want the 5 channel option multiplexer bundle obviously
Glad you love the videos :D! The Thinkware multiplexer is definitely a very interesting system, though I don't think we have the kind of direct comparison between the options you've described. The closest would be our in-depth look at the multiplexer here: ua-cam.com/video/g4lXtxmgsTs/v-deo.html
Cigarette lighter plug power cable (male) stopped receiving power. I have to wiggle it like a phone charger so it could power/charge the battery pack. Should I buy another power cable? Is it a current problem with someone else?
Sorry to hear you have to wiggle the cable like that. It's likely that the prongs on the side of the adapter aren't properly touching the metal sides of your cigarette socket, possibly because the socket is too wide, or the prongs are deformed.
It is unlikely that this will work, as most dash cams require a signal from a 3-wire connection to go into parking mode. You will likely have to splice an unspliced output cable for a battery to a hardwire kit for your 70mai.
The Vantrue E3 uses a Type-C USB Cable, so you'll need a spliced hardwire kit like the one for the VIOFO A139/T130! Still, as we do not have the unit it's tough for me to confirm, the best method would be to purchase the unspliced output cable, and splice that to a Vantrue hardwire kit.
the BBMC power cable has a 4 position selector switch, how do I know what setting to use? (I have a viafo A229 pro 3 channel that I am trying to connect to a powercell 8)
Are you referring to the voltage cut-off box on the VIOFO Hardwire kit? If so, please set it to the lowest possible option, which is 11.6V. This purely means that the camera can draw the battery pack a little bit lower than previous. VIOFO has a version of this cable in the works with the voltage cut-off removed, as it is redundant for batteries, but there's no current timeline for this.
@@blackboxmycar Thank you for clarifying that. I just wanted to be sure before hardwiring everything in and tucking the cable and switch into the trim.
Sorry, no battery packs are compatible with OBD cables. The Cigarette Lighter Adapter is a nice plug and play option for battery packs, without losing any features.
@@blackboxmycar is cigarette lighter plug okay for Thinkware U1000 parking mode? I thought it is ignition trigger so I need to use obd 2 port if I don’t want to hardwire

Can i use the blackvue battery pack plugged into cigarette lighter then plug a 70mai usb powered dashcam for parking mode?

If I have a USB cable to power my uniden r9 will the USB conecton turn off on the battery after parking my car
The USB output on a battery pack would not turn on and off with the vehicle, and would supply a constant power source.
