The more I've rewatched Haikyuu the more I appreciate the character writing of shiratorizawa's coach. The ultimate pettiness to deny another player success because he was denied earlier in his life. How very human.
It's very wonderful that Shiratorizawa's coach will become a big fan of Hinata in a few years.

RIGHTTTT? The more cliched trope with someone of his character is with him being a coach and an advocate of the more unique and "disadvantaged" athletes, like him and Hinata. But they did the opposite with him. Great character dynamic.
In a way he is protecting himself. He was denied greatness because he was short, so he is now holding on to the idea that short players cant be good. If it is universal fact in world then he cant do anything about it and he can accept it. But now there is short player who is showing that they can be great and they can win. That would make coach actually have to face his regrets of his own career.

My most favorite Nishinoya moment.
this episode was Noya's MVP. But overall, Tsukki deserved it.
I've noticed that lately Carlie is not preparing to protect herself everytime Tanaka spikes because she's screaming as loud as Ange and that's so good to see😂
Noya has the big moment this episode but I feel that narrative-wise this is a more Tsuki-focused episode...from the beginning when he returns to the game with a plan and earns them those points to the end with the flashback of his time with Kuroo in training camp so to me he's the MVP of this one.
Even tried going for the slide hit, allowing Tanaka to spike, by slowing down tendou. i agree with you
That speech that Noya gives after his double save about not being able to score points so "even if your thighs a were to split open, I'm counting on you in the mid-air battles" gets me in tears EVERY TIME!
noya's double receive gives me chills so much I was too focused to realise both your faces turned bright red from screaming so much that he's done it lol

Tsukki is at his peak in this season, both his body and mind is working. He's good at strategies, and can execute them well. Noya's double receive is incredible, and Ushiwaka's a beast himself.

I’ve watched this show over 8 times, and this cliffhanger still makes me feel like I’m gonna throw up. So watching your reactions to it was entertaining. From pleading with your whole being, to the eye roll from the pits of hell. Favorite reactors, hands down.
Hearing Ange speaking about coming down from his high makes me very excited about the next episode. Knowing that you guys have already seen it, I hope that the "Murder of Crows" moment lived up to your expectation, because it's the highest high in the show for me, especially with its unbelievable soundtrack.
Tsukki screaming/showing emotions always makes me almost cry
I love the scene where Shirabu talks about how Ushiwaka as a super ace also works as the best decoy, to then yell "GO TAICHI" instead of he's usual super respectful "Ushijima-san". Nah man everything in this show is amazing

The last spike that won the match is by far the most beautiful of all seasons. If you know the minimum about animation, you know how hard rotating camera scenes are hard to draw. Specially as smooth as they did. You have every player in the scene, then it slowly zooms in on Hinata, as the background also changes with the rotation. It’s a whole high level of animation.
Not just that, but the bgm also plays a massive role to make this scene even more epic. And the flock of crows knocking down the eagle *chef’s kiss* masterpiece from start to end.
i will say this forever tsukki and noya CARRIED
Using the 2x24 "Head-on fight" soundtrack in that last rally was just MEAN (in the best way) is2g!! That track never fails to give me volleyball PTSD

This double save by Nishinoya is one of the best plays in the whole anime! It's actually much harder to pull of comparing to blocking Ushiwaka, for example! However, MVP must go to Tsukki
