- @JimmyOakes shares his ideas on the future, his plans, what he is currently working on, etc in this video. His channel focuses on JDM cars, drifting, 350z, S15, JZX100, lifestyle and living the dream for car enthusiasts. I thought it would be fun to chat with him since we were on Drift Week 6, and share some insights about him with you guys as I learn them for myself. I don't get to watch as much UA-cam stuff as you guys do!
Adams content is cool and all, but if you want realistic, chill AND mildly educational, Jimmy O is where it's at

jimmy is my role model. started “what would jimmy do” kinda mentality to build my car. Clean. shave the bay. take my time etc. Spend money where it matters because the car matters to Me. i’ve learned lots from jimmy like life positivity and car knowledge, he’s more than mildly educational to some

What makes jimmy successful is in my opinion not so much the cars, but the friendship on the channel. The friends he has brought with him on his success, and continued success is what keeps him relatable. Jimmy shop is just a nicer shop with nicer cars than others but with the same or attainable vibe
As a semi new jimmy oaks sub I’ve also noticed that and noticed it so much that I wanted to know the history so watched all the older videos to catch up on everything over time.
It might be a simple video but the lighting makes this video very aesthetically pleasing
Jimmy! Love this guy! Still think he should have wayyyy more subs than he has ! He keeps it relatable with what car he works on!
For the life of me I can’t understand why he does have that many subs. I first learnt about him watching Hoonigan when he help with the sr20 swap. I found out who he was and subscribed right away.

Been watching Jimmy and Adam for nearly a decade. They taught me how to ride bmx, build cool cars and learn mechanics while i’m at it. i’m 24 now and grew up the guys basically. I had a 240sx before they even had one together (cream car) and just got hooked even more.

My girl reached out to him and told him how big a fan i was and wanted a quick message from him for christmas etc etc. He was busy in Florida so i never got it but his reaction felt like he couldn’t believe people looked up to him like we do. I hope he knows he’s a pillar in this small community to many
Adam’s channel is great if you want to see a wild build or his professional driving but we don’t get to see much of his life these days, Jimmy’s channel is great if you want more down to earth content along with detailed videos on high level builds, DJ (DJnoway)’s channel is great if you want to see the uncut/unfiltered version of Jimmy (and occasionally Adam) and their friend group haha

Been lucky enough to see jimmy grow from his first videos building the red z with rj to now. It’s been amazing watching him grow his business. Would love to do fab work alongside spoon to contribute.
I remember watching jimmy on haggard back in the day and it used to be a joke to, "like, comment, and subscribe" to jimmy's channel. Sick to see him grow from the start and continue to snowball. Hats off to Jimbo! 🏆
As big as Jimmy and his channel is, he is the most kind, humble guy to talk to in person.
I watch him because it’s the realest content out there. He talks to you like a real person. Makes me feel like I’m the one filming.
Love it! Big Jimmy fan. Like he said, knowing he’s just as hyped as the viewers to see a build come to sight makes it that much more worth it. His channel is the best.

You may think your channel is boring Aaron, but I’m not even a drifter and I stay up on all your interviews and videos you put out. You got great personality and your interview game is on point. You do a lot for the automotive community and are appreciated by anyone who sits down with you.

I watch almost all of your content, and almost none of Adams content. Real recognize real. Never chance the viewers your a leader like Chelsea, quality content gets quality views. Thanks to the whole crew it takes a village. 🤙🏼

The next 5 years for Jimmy is going to go quick. He's got a solar system of content he's a part of, with every flavor a kid could imagine all orbiting around each other. I'm just sittin here licking my fingers giggling
Difference between Aaron and other youtubers is Aaron was doing all if this before he picked up the camera so he ain't as dependent on it.
Taylor rays channel has over 100k more subs, the idea of running a successful UA-cam business with a 1 man team is very obtainable. It really comes down to the style of content created. Jimmy oakes very chill and fun (also very informative) Taylor Ray on the other hand is VERY VERY informative but not as much fun as he is working in the shed on his own. He also would be loosing alot more money by not investing/pushing his merchandise the same as Jimmy oakes does.
Both absolutely incredible UA-cam but still very different.

Taylor’s channel has a very special vibe where you feel like you’re in the garage right with him. Even though he has Josue now it’s not like Josue is full time wrenching while Taylor is sitting back and running other things, they still work together and a lot of the videos it is just Taylor working on something alone
