Would never have imagined that we'd get treated to this beautiful conversation. I'd be so happy to see JImmy come back for another podcast so we could peer into his intellectual side.
I was listening to Jimmy on a podcast yesterday, and he mentioned JBP. It kept coming into my mind how awesome it would be to see these two sit down and chat. Timing is crazy!!!
Jordan is a breath of fresh air compared to most in his field. He has the guts to give his 2 cents about just about everything. And most of the time, he's right on the mark, down to brass tax. And he doesn't give a flying fcuk about any committee that wants to, baselessly, punish him.

As a big fan of both your works. I found this very entertaining and fascinating. I was surprised to see this meeting of the minds and it does give me hope, that maybe if enough big personalities were willing to sit across the table from each other, maybe we could really come together as a society. Knowing how vilified you have been made out to be in legacy Media, its really refreshing to see, someone like Jimmy Carr, publicly acknowledging that you are not the monster you have been made out to be. I feel like this marks a turning point in public perception of who you are, and i am thankful for that. Given everything you've done and how you have really put yourself out there and tried to help people. Its inspirational and heart braking to see how you have been treated. Btw, I'm 61.....I wish I could see Jimmy live, Jordan as well but more just to support him and let him know he is what the world needs. It has gone off the rails a bit.
"I love to laugh" just reminds me of Uncle Albert from Mary Poppins, who couldn't help laughing so much that he ended up flying. Keep on laughing, and loving to laugh! It is the best medicine after all.

Dude I was shocked! I thought surely the name was someone else and just a coincidence. Plus Jimmy's changes faces every few days, depending on how tight they do the staples in the morning. Couldnt be sure from the thumbnail.
I think Jordan Peterson is immense, but I can't believe he would bother to get involved with this pathetic little specimen who thinks he is funny but people laugh not with him but at him or just ignore him. Sorry Jordan.

1 hour in, this whole conversation twisted into exactly what I imagined it all could be! Mr. Carr is brilliant! They suddenly stopped talking over each other. ( it was as if they both wanted to pack in all the coolest sh*t they wanted to gift to each other to start...) Awesome content, gentlemen.
Man, two of my favourites I can’t have enough of talking to each other. It isn’t something I like JP for, and it’s definitely not why I listen to Jimmy, but man. I have my hour to these guys and loved every second of it.
My favorite Carr joke was when he sealed with a heckler. The heckler talked about inequality, Carr said, “Yeah, if a man who sleeps with a lot of women, he’s a stud. When a woman does that, you know what they call her? Ray’s Mom!”
@@TheyCalledMeT That, I think, is Ruan's point. Will either didn't understand the joke and was laughing politely along, or genuinely found it at least a little bit funny. What happened next - the slap - flies directly in the face of either of those two options, and betrays the fact that it was externally or ideologically motivated.
He laughs at the joke, then he looks at his wife, she basically does the unamused thumbs down sign and he's off to slap a comedian on stage. It basically ends up being a sketch in and of itself.
Of all the interviews I’ve watched this one had me as captivated and engaged as any, would love to have and see another conversation between the 2 of you. Also I’d love to watch jimmy open for Jordan, quick 10 then do a discussion between the 2.
@@juliesomethinorother they're definitely both notorious for interrupting and speaking over People. They're both generally forgiven for it though as they've usually got something important or interesting to say.
@@mrnickb part of it is that they are internet interviews. It is the delay that kills. When having a deep conversation with someone, ppl always interject. Add lag to it and it just ruins the moment. Not to say you are not correct. JBP does interrupt a lot. But he is someone whose mind is working overtime, and he just has to get out his thoughts. Something he has to work on I think, but better then just pretending to listen while waiting to have a turn saying what you want to say, like some ppl do( something I had to learn to do personally)
I think the best thing about this interview is that no matter how famous or successful or rich you are you can always sound like your microphone was purchased in 2009 at a RadioShack. This video was really good to see (and hear) since it wasn’t done in a way that is contrived or snarky or arrogant despite it being conducted by a Harvard Professor and an intelligent and successful comedian. For the conversation to last longer than an hour and have it be interesting is pleasant.
I’ve loved Jimmy’s humor ever since i found his work, and now i love him even more as an all around human being. What an absolutely amazing conversation. Thank you!
Imagine how much funnier he'd be if he told jokes at the expense of the Left as well as the right. But then as he's learning you get cancelled for doing that. Smart career sticking to the easy targets. He just needs to concentrate on Christian, American South and Trump jokes again - and the left will allow him to return to being a Celebrity Lovie once more.
I just saw Jimmy live a week ago, he was brilliant. Seeing this video release the next day was uncanny and I never expected to see him on here, what a fantastic interview, I enjoyed every second.
Saw Jimmy near our hometown in North Wales couple of weeks back. He is so right in what he says about his style of comedy and that intimacy, he really included the whole room and his quickness in humour with certain members of the audience was just gold. It was bloody awesome! Never get bored of seeing Jimmy Live, class! Side note he’s also opened my eyes massively to some really big things in my life, clever man in touch with the world and people. Thanks Jordan for speaking with him!
Great episode, I've always appreciated how thoughtful Jimmy is with his work and having a crossover with Jordan's insight was very interesting. Thank you!
Jimmy dropped a gem. Comedy is like a conversation with like minded people. I was at a show and Eric Idle was in the lobby. I had heard a rumor he was going to be there, so I asked him in front of the club owner if he was going to be there that night, I was immediately part of a improv skit with him and the club owner had to clue! Eric completely got it!
Dear professor Peterson I have alot of things to tell you but I cut them all and say the main point You change my life, I own you everything I wish you have long and healthy life

Not the. But bright none the less.
Not the crossover we deserve, but the crossover we need.
I was about to type that

Jimmy Carr's answer to we he wanted to talk with Jordan really moved me and elevated my opinion of him

I only wish someone would have bought Carr a £100 mic for this monumentus podcast.
I was just thinking the same, actually that was my first thought :) Great conversation....thank you
I thought about the mic at first, but I forgot about it until I just read your comment at the end of the podcast.
Hahaha that's funny. Why are you helping Carr with material?

He's rapidly on his way to become a beloved national treasure. Or he already is really.
What? He is the English Kimmel. Jimmy is one of the few comedians that can't perform during writers strikes.

Two people I absolutely adore, and I never thought would ever have a conversation, but I’m extremely excited that they have!
Love seeing Jordan having conversations with so many diverse people. What an interesting, super intelligent person Jimmy is!
Jordan is a breath of fresh air compared to most in his field. He has the guts to give his 2 cents about just about everything. And most of the time, he's right on the mark, down to brass tax. And he doesn't give a flying fcuk about any committee that wants to, baselessly, punish him.
A lot of gems dropped here about life. Thank you both for this wonderful talk.
RIP Sean Locke. What a witty, amazing human being.
That was a heck of a blow for me when Jimmy said that. I had no idea.

Ray’s Mom!”
I hope Ray's watching this lol

No, the best heckler said "Cancer!" - Carr asked why he said it, the reply was: My Mother got cancer, and it's funnier than this" - I agree.
I love the gentle ribbing Peterson gave Carr throughout this. Great guest. Great interview.
"...those are pretty nice teeth for an Englishman" - J.P. Ha!
I very much suspect Jimmy loved it too. As they said, when it's done properly it's received as affirmation.

I love how Jimmy Carr's "a laugh can sometimes betray you" is so relevant with the Will Smith thing at the moment :D

Too funny watching two of the most interrupting men being interrupted by eachother and trying to not let their heads explode 🤣

@@juliesomethinorother they're definitely both notorious for interrupting and speaking over People. They're both generally forgiven for it though as they've usually got something important or interesting to say.
I feel like Jordan has gotten worse at this lately and it's making his videos almost unwatchable
Wow, I never thought I'd see Jimmy Carr on here!
I bumped into him in Exeter, England.
It's great that Jimmy is doing this interview!
Didn't see this coming! Very interesting.
Saw Jimmy near our hometown in North Wales couple of weeks back.
