As am American that is such a true and profound statement. We have it so good that people are bored and think fighting and whining is what they are supposed to do. I hate American’s who bash our country.. we are far from perfect but if it’s that bad just leave!
This was so lovely. I appreciated what they had to say about Americans. Especially the older people who were interviewed. The Israeli man in the blue suit who looks to be in his 30's and talking about America with all it's power, should be a light for the rest of the world to follow. And I know that we should be a leader for peace. But they were all lovely people.
I was surprised that American music is so well known. I wish music of other nations and countries was played on our radio in the US. We have the same stuff played over and over. Love of music is universal and brings people together.
Mainstream music sure. But the US definitely produce the widest array of genres. I’m sure when they say American music they don’t just mean maroon 5, The Weeknd, or Billie Eilish, but also rock n roll, hip hop, pop, rock, and maybe even country.
@@abelgreen5046 it's possible we have the most genres available, I don't really know. What I mean though is that on the public radio stations there is not a variety of music played even though there are all those genres. Regionally there are places where you can actually only hear one or two types of music played. The number of artists that are promoted is very limited also. I've become frustrated by that and so I mostly listen to music online to explore different genres and artists.
Saw your comment on a recent video about the interviews in this same area. Had to come and check it out myself. Very unfortunate what is happening now. Very well produced and edited video nonetheless my friend! Insightful answers and loving the cinematics in the beginning. Keep up the great work and you will go far!
Hey thanks for checking it out! I was very happy be able to speak to the people there and I’m glad they were willing to do it. Seeing a place where I have lived for a bit on the news like that was pretty wild especially with everything that’s happening there now!
Eli ma man! Hope everything is going well for you bro! These people were pretty awesome, it was hard trying to find people that spoke English. Most of them spoke Hebrew or Arabic, took awhile to make it, but we got there!
@@JamesPrime1 Same to you! Hope that the traveling has been going good for you. It looks like the time was well spent making and editing this video, it was super entertaining to watch and I can't wait for more to come!
Haha yea man it’s been awhile! Sometimes the motivation to make a video just isn’t always there. But I appreciate you checking it out when I do post! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I was actually surprised no one said anything about that either. And I didn’t want to steer them into saying something like that either. Most of the time I just say, “mmhmm.” Or “right.” Even if I don’t agree with them which can be hard sometimes haha.
@Candy Smith, I just now came across your post here on James' You Tube Channel. I have just recently discovered his channel, and believe his simple format for his questioning of people about America is truly fascinating. I've been sweeping through his comment sections after each video that I've seen having watched about five of them already. I noticed that nobody asked the question you asked. I have the same question as you have here. I didn't hear any comments from any of James' respondents about the decades of security America provides for them. I realize James' focus, and line of questioning is not to illicit this specifically however he does offer his subjects a, " free mic ", to respond. I found this fascinating. In addition, I also believe the majority of the people globally in general have no idea the amount of money ( American citizen's money ) that is given out each year in financial aid and humanitarian aid to virtually every nation on Earth by the United States. It's in the neighborhood of $90 Billion dollars annually, and we've been doing this for over 100 years. In 2022 for instance, we've paid $4.58 billion dollars to Russia. China has received approximately $5.4 billion dollars so far this year. These are two countries that seemingly would wish to destroy us. Then of course there's the other nations of the world, many of them developed, and many truly needy. We're there for all of them. As an American, I can't help it get a little incensed in not being more noticed for our generosity, and care of this world. We could maybe here some thank you's once in awhile. By the way, those foreign aid figures don't include military aid. So when I came across your post which is now about two months old, I couldn't help it share my thoughts with you here. I really enjoy what James is doing, and will be telling him so. Hopefully he'll read what I'm sending you now. Very interesting work he's doing here, and a profoundly insightful post by you. Thanks, and I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts in reply. C A
@@c.a.saunders2819I agree with you C.A. I think the US does a lot to support other nations, but I don’t think the people in that nation are aware of it. For all the flack that the U.S. catches from many countries around the world, I think people fail to realize how much in fact the US supports them. I’m not saying the US is perfect, but I think it does A LOT more than many countries combined when it comes to aid.
@C.A. Saunders And just look at the 75 billion in U.S. military and financial aid dispersed to Ukraine, which is more than double what the EU institutions, UK, Japan, Australia, etc. have given COMBINED since Feb. 2022. with no end in sight
There is an exercise many good managers have their employees do that is very similar to this. You get feed back from people you work with. You would be surprised how the perception you have of yourself clashes with how others feel about you.
I just wanna say that guy who flee from America end up in Israel which also the country has so much internal conflicts. Obviously he’s not proud to be an American
That guy at the end in the bg walking at the end, glaring at the camera, holding up a clenched fist as he passed, I had to rewind to make sure he wasn’t giving the finger. Haha
What’s James great job with these videos bro. I’ve watched probably 90% of all of your videos and I noticed that Guns seems to be the one thing that’s popping up. We have a problem here in America especially in the southern part of America. Our music Seems to be a plus for our country but the Guns are really standing out in your videos it’s almost freighting. Keep up the great work and can’t wait for more videos. Southeast Asia would be great spot for a video..
It's just a strange concept to them, I believe. Furthermore, because the main media channels are anti-gun, the only media they may view without delving past the surface level is the negative aspect of gun ownership in America. And they think of it as only relating to people and not defense from wild animals.
I found it interesting that on this and other videos locals sometime express their feelings about racism in America but fail to acknowledge or recall it's generally the same in their country but differs because the Black population is minimum so it isn't visible, possibly even to themselves. However, when Black or other minority population increase in numbers.....that changes. I recall many years ago a Black gentlemen brag on UA-cam voicing that England didn't discriminate against Blacks. It didn't occur to him that was because there weren't many there then. However over time Blacks started migrating to England and they are often discriminated against as well today. Similarly in this video an Israeli woman started talking about racism in America it reminded me that the Muslims in Israel are treated similarly with prejudice (and admittedly I don't know degree) Fast forward to recently. I saw an article on a country (I think Denmark) which were having an influx of Muslims who had similar racism situation there. However my most recent memory involves UK when Ukrainians were fleeing Russian invasion. I believe Ukraine arranged for buses to take them to a safer place. I saw several interviews with African students in the country to study college and return to their native country when done. The Africans weren't allowed to travel on the buses and were met with hostility. They were forcibly told the buses were ONLY for Ukrainians...not the Africans.
We don’t appreciate things because we have everything we need? I guess breaking my ass for 30 years didn’t contribute at all to what I have? Lol. Well, I appreciate the shit out of everything I’ve been able to acquire. 🤷🏽
