My guy I found you about 4 years ago when I was researching prison. I had a felony theft without authorization over $5k from 2007 out of New Hampshire. I’ve been living in the Carolina’s on the run until just a couple years ago. I saved 10k hired a lawyer and he had it all dismissed without me even having to appear. It’s crazy I’ve been running for so long thinking I would have to turn myself in and I would be incarcerated until trial because I’m a flight risk. Nope! My lawyer appeared on my behalf I never even stepped foot in court. Now I’m free and clear. Been driving for almost 2 years. I have a really good job painting apartments. Everything’s great. Anyways I really appreciate the information it helped relieve my anxiety while I was saving money the whole time thinking I would at least be in jail for a few months and possibly a few years in prison

That’s awesome New Hampshire must be cool with there court hearings , many states u have to appear in front of judge to face ur accusers and face chargers ur accused of especially being a felony like u said. But glad it all worked out and everything going good
Girlfriend had a fta on stolen tags in Baltimore city had warrant we went to MS cameback samething lawyer went she never had to turn herself in on the warrant or go to court for all to be dismissed. But luckily the lawyer cost about 3 instead of the 10 you paid.

But most of them are Upstate In Prison Or in the Feds, I was in Both & The Feds have some real Jail House Lawyers that are actually in the law library every day & getting other inmates released & or getting their Sentence Lowered..
Like I said we always miss some1 that is real important for other inmates..

When I was in jail for 3 weeks I had $400 on my account. Everyone thought I had nothing. I made 2 phone calls , not wanting to talk to my loved ones from jail. I hated the prices both for phone and especially the off brand garbage in the commissary.
I kept to myself, without being rude, served my time snd returned home.

I wasn’t scared. Bored. More bored than I’ve ever been. I’ve never cared for television. I don’t play cards. And the conversations weren’t exactly my usual topics.
A few times guys told me about their problems. I’d listen. Mostly I read books from the lending cart.
I was in minimum in a trustee block that worked the kitchen. So I had adequate food since the cooks gave us two buffet style meals each day plus our regular meals. No need to waste my money on crap overpriced snacks.
Do I ever want to spend another second incarcerated? Oh hell no. But it was never frightening after the first half hour not knowing what to expect.

Man, I didn't have much, but I was laundry man for a bit. Had a special mop bucket to do whites in. Cuz you know sending your whites out in facility laundry, they coming back dingy and yellow. Turns out I did pretty well for myself. Kept those whites crisp and them khakis fresh.
One of the few prison channels I find to be authentic.. he's grateful to be home, and doesn't glamorize the pen with bs that any real convict would know is true or not 💯
I actually had a tip the kitchen staff co.'s because I was a head cook and when I wanted to take something back to the block and they would let me go through with a minimal search and just for your information I was a head cook
I tattooed and made envelopes and shaved down eyeglass lens and fit to frames man there is so many hustles in prison honestly

I had a young man that for $7 a week, he would wash all my whites with a little bleach and Tide. He would have my T-shirts on a hanger and my socks always came back snow white. He had no family that would look out for him and his girl was pregnant and couldn't send a penny. He mostly asked for Duplex cookies and soups and a bag of coffee. He was a cool little dude and he had about 6 or 7 clients. I really respected his hustle. This kid ran this laundry gig like a real business. Brings back memories, not all prison memories are bad.
Omg..... the part about not tipping your barber cracked me up 😂 I've never been in prison, but I'm been a cosmetologist now for 27 yrs and I can attest to the fact that if "I" just got done standing for 4 hrs straight rolling a spiral perm on some chicks long a** hair, and she doesn't tip me good ...I'd be sure the NEXT TIME (if there WERE a next time)...I'd be leaving that perm solution on a little extra long 😂

I don’t know if it’s everywhere but when you’re in Indiana and work laundry you can wash two personal bags separate. Other wise it’s thrown in with all the other bags.

Was a laundry porter. 5 bucks a month we delivered to the cell but no ironing. Just clean folded and delivered.
The last part was really funny about the laundry.
Those trimmers bring me back, I don’t have any battery pairs of those bc of tattoo machines and they didn’t sell them anymore for that reason but I still have one working pair of clear and is blades

I remember working in the kitchen when I did time here in the UK. When I 1st started there was an old timer who was in charge. He kept an eye on what was being stolen. Making sure it was shared fairly and also making sure no one took the piss and stole to much. He ended up being shipped out because they found the cut out of a female civilian workers trousers in his cell. Turns out the pervert was sniffing the crutch area
When he left there was a power vacuum and people weren't sharing and stealing too much. They ruined it for everyone and the prison got extra strict about prisoners having access to the stores. I also offered some huge bloke a straightner in the showers. Thankfully he didn't want to know because he was a bully.
Thankfully I turned my life around and haven't been in trouble since 2008
Tip the one who is running the Vegas boards for sports. Always have someone making up every week all the football games pick the over/under games etc… That and one running poker games till store day etc lol

The only person i every tipped was the laundry guy,and the vegetable guy ,and barber monthly they got a pack of cigarettes monthly but this was in prison not County.

ALWAYS TIP THE CO! At Stafford Creek Corrections Center, in Aberdeen, WA we had a CO got busted for bringin' in Tobacco. BUT, before that, I just got there, maybe a few wks in there from making down from a Close Custody joint, and being an Artist, needed my Art Curio Box. In WA state joints, you have to pay $10 bucks to the prison before you can possess ANY art supplies. AND it all must be stored in the box they give you. Just a big plastic bin. ANYWAYS, we had this CO on the payroll basically, and he hooked me up with some rapo's curio box during a cell search, just took it from him, engraved my DOC number onto it, then gave it to me, lolol... HELLA hooked it up. After a cell search on MY cell, Sergeant asked why I had a box with my DOC # when my property matrix didn't have it when I arrived. Just played it like idk, that's on your staff for not putting it down when I got there. Ended up having them add it to my property thinking they just missed it when they brought me through. Lol... So yeah, PAY THE CO's if they get down like that. I got hooked up

I'm a waitress, so tips are how I make my living. Trust me when I say I ALWAYS remember who hooks me up & who straight up insulted me with a $5 tip on a $100 check. The next time that cheap bastard comes back, & they always do, they get now get the $5 service they deserve.

I never been to the pen but i been to jail 13 times, 6 different jails. And every jail ive been in it was $3.05 to make a 15 min call. But im on the west coast so it might be different here. Some jails used Securus and i dont remember what the other jails used.
In my state, phone calls a couple years ago from the county jail were like $1/min, but I think they got in trouble with the state/fed because of the insane costs, and now it's 20 cents a min. BUT, prison calls are something like 2 cents per minute. It's crazy. I talked to my ex's sister 3 times in 1 day (20 mins per call) and it cost ~$2.

I paid $2 a week to a guy in clothes house. I didn't have to wait in line and all my clothes were crispy new always!! ✌️

I always tipped the guy that cleaned my cell for me. Dude would have it looking fire! Also would tip the canteen man too. Tip him an he gonna make sure u have anything you want, batteries, playing cards, shabangs, single shot coffee packs, 18 wheelers, etc...
