Is average rent really around 23-2400 for 1BR? Seeing lots of decent apartments around 1600-2k range on Craigslist. Haven’t toured yet. Are those too good to be true?
Also, what do you think of Temescal?
First ... I love Temescal! Great area! I did a quick Craigslist search. THe only rentals I'm seeing under about $2,300/mo either aren't in the Grand Lake or Piedmont Ave neighborhoods or are studio apartments and not full 1 bdrms. You MIGHT find something under $2K/mo, but be wary. if it is in these neighborhoods.
Bro. You have a nice piece about Piedmont Ave. But HOW could it be that you did not mention the double Michelin - starred restaurant Commis/CDP -- led by star chef James Syhabout , one of America's great culinary innovators?
And you give no mention to The Wolf, the highly regarded continuation of the long-lived, legendary French-Spanish-Italian Bay Wolf, which, along with Berkeley's Chez Panisse, invented America's farm-to-table, Cal-Latin Europe culinary movement.

And there were a number of other leading restaurants of note (Mägo, etc.) on Piedmont Ave at the time of the filming that you missed.

A LOT of great restaurants in the area, but I'm not a foodie, so I tend not to focus on this. Sorry.
