You can either make the hexagons bigger slightly, or add a couple rows in the center back to make it fit better. Some also just like the tighter neck lines too 😊
Try adding a few rows between the panels before sewing them together, it'll leave more room for the neck, make the sleeves longer, and make it fall a little better
When joining the sleeves do you turn the hexagon right sides in, meaning the wrong sides are facing outward or are they joined right sides facing outward
If you go to @craftandacuppa she has a tutorial adding a hood. I’ve made one. Supper fun and easy. I also extend the back panels a little to add space for your neck then adding a hood is fairly straightforward
@@OneChanceAtI started with 6 and mine is still laying flat. I really want to make this as a present and I only have two weeks. I don't know what I'm doing wrong
@@blueismylove3128 it was laying flat for my first few rows, but after about 5-6 rows mine started folding into the sleeve shape because of my natural tension.
@@OneChanceAt I had 7 before I decided to rip it out. I was working with puff sts instead of the 3dc clusters. When I switched over to 3dc clusters it finally worked the way it should. I don't like the look as much, but at least it works.
Probably not unless you are very small. The yarn she used is pretty generously sized, but I would guess she used 2 skeins of it. I used almost an entire cake of Lion Brand Mandala yarn to make the body of a toddler cardigan and another cake to add a ruffled peplum to extend the bottom of the cardigan, extend the sleeves, and make a slip stitch ribbing collar and cuffs.
@ebohn1780 she's using Red Heart Super Saver in the color Retro Stripe. It's a worsted weight yarn. The stripey yarns in that particular yarn have about 480 yards per skein. Most adult cardigans use about 600 to 1000 yards of yarn depending on length of body and sleeve length. That's why I said she probably used 2.
These always look very tight at the neck, the colors are beautiful
Your suppose to add extra rows to avoid that but they didn’t. I made one with the extra rows not as tight as it seems.

Do they leave the neck tight because it loosens over time?
@@brendafuller1806 Idk, maybe they just do not think about it? 🤔
That's super cute. I love the color too. Thank you for sharing.

Do you have a tutorial
How do i make a hexagon like this?!?! I can only find granny square/stitch tutorials
This has been a Well loved baby cardigan pattern For decades and I've thought about making it into grown up cardigan a couple of times l o l
When joining the sleeves do you turn the hexagon right sides in, meaning the wrong sides are facing outward or are they joined right sides facing outward
Wrong sides out if you use the same technique she does in the video.
Beautiful colors, where can I buy the pattern?
Thank you 🌷🌿

It beautiful and easy but the sleeves turn too large....
Salve come posso capire se il cardigan e giusto di misura per una taglia grande o piccola grazie
❤❤❤❤❤
What is this wizardry?
Love to get this pattern but apparently she does not respond to any questions posted here 😢
Btw is 1 small ball of yarn enough for a cardigan
