You should try PAPERBOY. I have it on my Commodore 64 as a tape version (Encore release), Amiga 500 and PlayStation 2 (MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES). A legendary classic game 😹😺👍🕹️.
brings back memories i was a proud owner of a ATARI XE gs as a kid my pride and joy it was loved this game would take up to 45 minutes to load on tape these kids today have no idea of the pains of gaming back then
I used to take public transport for a hour to go to a "distributors" home who would quickly load some games, then "provide" them in your disk for a "fixed price donation". Then it was a hours commute back home. The whole experience took half a day. Nowadays I think of a game, walk into the study computer and 5 minutes later I'm playing it on the C64 mini. Life is too easy these days!
Hi matey, yep your bang to rights matey, I often say that is what makes our generation a bit more patient as we had to wait for everything. Seems everything is instantly accessible today.
Again spot on matey, no one has to wait anymore everything media wise is a click away it seems. Those 'Disc' trips sounded epic matey, but so worth it, im sure buddy 😎
I only played the C64 version back in the day. A good and entertaining game. As for future VS. episodes I would like to see a comparison on The Chaos Engine from Bitmap Brothers. One of my absolute favorites of all time. It was released on the Amiga, Mega Drive and the SNES (from what I remember).
Hi Jon I think the C64 will win the vote as people have so many great memories from that computer. Played the Chaos Engine recently on the A500 mini still a great game. Ill give it a think matey 😎
My first experience of this game was on the Arcade Hall of Fame compilation for the C64 which also had Up n Down, Blue Max, Spy Hunter & Aztec Challenge on it. Such a simple premise but highly addictive gameplay. Tough one to call so you call it a draw technically and leave it open to a poll is an excellent idea.
I loved those game compilations back in the day such amazing value and some real quality titles too 😎 This was such a tough call that putting it to the vote seemed the fairest way to get a decision... 😀 Cheers matey... Which got your vote?
@@OGDuffy For me it is the C64 version. Yeah the 2600 captures the essence which is cool but doesn’t look like it should. BBC Micro looks good but colour scheme isn’t right. Have you done a poll somewhere, can’t find one on the channel
@@johnr75jr Oh yeah, I could never get off the first level on Aztec Challenge as it has very twitchy gameplay. Do love Blue Max and Up n Down on that compilation more than the other titles
Hi Lee, I didn't cover the Atari computer version, to be honest growing up I never knew anyone who had one. So it's a system that passed me by. All the conversions of this were really well done which makes a really pleasant change. I have since taken a look at the Atari computer version and looked well done too so would have made this comparison even harder to judge 😎
Been looking forward to your next vs video . As u say the single screen design made this easy to convert to most systems Only played the c64 version myself which I enjoyed For me overall the c64 was the best
Hi WIll, such an amazing game matey and one that is so playable and simple but so effective. I think the C64 will win the day based on its popularity and peoples memories😎
Hi Stuart, how's you and the family matey? All good and well I hope? PANG that is a game I remember seeing but don't think I played matey, so will defiantly give this a look matey😎
Have to give it to the c64, an almost perfect conversion. I loved the speccy version as a kid, but really don’t remember that horrible buzzing. Let’s see you do Mike - another of my favourites.
Hi matey yep the C64 is gonna be a tough machine to beat as most peoples memories of that computer are great memories. So cant see the others getting a look in myself... But you never know 😃
One of the games I'm planning to make for the Mega65 is a twist on Tapper, called "Arthur," where you are the drinker instead of the bartender, and you have to drink every drink thrown your way without missing any.
I didnt mind meeting mates but the whole school thing was just not for me matey... Didnt enjoy it at all. I think the biggest thing school taught me was how to spot the idiots of society and how to deal with people, so good place to learn social skills 😉
Loved the arcade with the beer tap as your controller. Never that good at this game as you had to do multiple things a5 once. My brain can’t cope with that lol. I totally agree with your dilemma. The Atari and BBC looked to play so well which is what it is all about. I find if a game on the C64 and Amiga play the same so well, then I just go for the graphics. My pick is the C64.
Hi matey, yep this title really surprised me as converted so well to those systems. Such a simple concept for a game but so original. I think a lot of people will be voting the C64, as such a nostalgic computer and owned by many 😎
😂 I agree about FOSTERS but do love me a Stella matey 😎 Visited Canterbury yesterday... Thoought of you as had a pint of GammRay by Beavertown.... Lovely beer but a few of those and people start misbehaving !!!! Yopu get that out there?

Hi matey, have since looked at the 8 Bit Atari versions and not to bad 😉 To be honest I stick to the systems that were generally popular when I was growing up and dont recall coming across the Atari computers all my friends had C64, Spectrums and Amstrads here in the UK.

Hi Danny California Games.... I recall playing this, will give it a consideration my friend
😃😉
Nice with the vs videos- love these
Cheers matey, as I say that take a bit longer to edit etc but people seem to like them and good fun revisiting these older games 😎
Glad you mentioned the reskined root beer connection to this absolute classic 👍
