Great video mate, I was playing Streets of Rage on the megadrive collection for the 360 the other week, it's a great game! I've still to try out my Crue Ball but that looks like great fun! The recent Sonic compilation "Sonic Origins" on modern consoles is a good one to get. You seem to get unlimited lifes and it saves your game as well. I've played through 1 and 2 on it.

Kirby's pinball on the original Gameboy is amazing! Also house of the dead pinball on ds is quality but the best 2 are on the PC engine Devil's Crush & Alien Crush
Oh! Crue Ball! That definitely brings back memories. My younger brother had a Mega Drive and introduced me to a new pinball game he had just bought called Crue Ball. We ended up spending hours upon hours playing that game while eating pizza and drinking coke (we hadn't quite discovered beer yet at the time). And being metal heads we of course loved the soundtrack! Thanks for reminding be of that game! Off to Ebay I go to find a copy.

SOR2 is considered not only the best MD game, but one of the greast scrolling fighters ever made, standing head and shoulders next to the mighty Final Fight. I can't count the hours of my life in the last 47 years I've poured into it. Great vid, dude. Maybe hunt down Streets of Rage remake... you'd love it.

Even though the SNES absolutely smashed the Megadrive on sound. The one thing the Megadrive could do was banging techno and house tunes. Ever play their version of contra wars? Can't remember the name but that soundtrack was absolutely amazing 🤙 Also mate, I was in the same boat when I got to the beginning of the N64. Raving, going out, getting drunk, that put gaming on the back burner 😂 good times. Cheers OG 💪
All the Mario platform games are decent matey and still loads of WiiU titles that are cheap as matey so go give a few a try Zombie U still cheap and fairly decent too 😉
Loved Streets of Rage. I always remember a friend accidentally hitting the console reset switch with his foot when we were at the final boss. 😅 Not exactly retro but the newer Streets of Rage 4 is equally superb - you can even play through it with the original SoR character sprites (once they have been unlocked). Do you have Comix Zone in your collection, OG? It's a bit tough but the combat in that game is so satisfying.
All of those sim games were way better on PC . I do have great memories of theme park, on the Megadrive & theme hospital / dungeon keeper on ps1 though.
Street Racer, on the Snes at least, was/is pretty decent. Obviously Mario Kart dominated, so for a game to come out like Street Racer and be half decent had a high bar to compete with is probably quite a compliment. Check out soccer mode!
I was watching a video just the other day about the various Street Racer vids (possibly Kim Justice?). I might be misremembering but I think I owned it on the PS1 and enjoyed it - but it definitely lacked Mario Kart's soul hehe.
@@Garbage_Pail_Kid I suppose Mario Kart also had a lot of it's own Nintendo lore to back it up, with Donkey Kong oafing around in a kart etc it had/has charm. Street racer came out of nowhere, and essentially had to introduce it all in one package. Didn't know it came out on PS1!
Saw the Soccer mode on the back of the case and will defo have to give this a play…. As you say Mario Kart was the king for this sort of game but I’m sure this game wasn’t all bad so will have to give it a play soon 😉
Ive never really played sonic 3 for that long, 2nd one was better in my opinion. Sonic cd was quite good and the remake that was a 16bit authentic style, i do remember it being really hard game though. I would like it if they made a version of sonic one where you could crouch and do the turbo spin thing, maybe there's a rom out there with that hack on it? Would be cool😎

Secret of Monkey Island 2 is an absolute classic! One of my favourite point-and-click games (my favourite being Day of the Tentacle).
Never played day of the tentacle matey but wasn’t that Lucasarts produced too? If so might have to give it a spin 😉🍺

I think i completed sonic 1, i got very close to completing sonic 2, i remember the last stage getting solid
