The Last Bacon Can you do a lore video on the lost river poison gas like stuff Or maybe if you’ve already done that could you do a lore video on the islands I think that would be really cool and interesting
I haven’t exactly tried that yet but I remember the time I tried spawning tons of bleeders in the alien containment tank and when I came back to my base they all magically fazed outside so I think I’ll pass for the time being.
Really great job on managing to find so much info about this sadly forgettable creature. I love how you always reply to comments on your videos, even if they’re over a year old. Keep up the excellent work!!!
4:40 Just because a creature has similar features doesn’t always mean it’s related to each other, as convergent evolution is a thing as well. Creature unrelated to each other sharing similar features because it benefits them in some way. This is seen with many animals.
2:08 The PDA also states that the Rockgrub's consumption and death may be a vital part of its life cycle. 60:4 Also I didn't watch to the end before commenting this.
I found my first rock grub 12 hours into the game while exploring the bulb zone so it was a big surprise for me that these things can even spawn in the kelp forest
I remember how i found a rockgrub in my playthrough: I was exploring the dunes sinkhole to find the cuddlefish egg, and couldnt find it at first (it’s so small and it blends in with the environment) so i went cave diving for some resources, and i saw a glow on the wall and was like “hey is that a creature?” And i approached and then i saw a rockgrub and was like, “hey it’s a little bug thing, i wonder if i can scan the thin- HOOLLY CRAP I CAN SCAN IT?!” And now everytime i see a glow on the wall i approach it to admire those critters
I really loved finding the rock grub. Somehow I think the smaller creatures get more interesting than the larger creatures, and they're so satisfying to spot. It really makes the world feel alive and diverse! Hoping they add more smaller and tiny species in Below Zero.
I definitely agree :) one of the best ways they can make their wold feel alive is just by adding a ton of small creatures that fill out the background.
I remember being surprised when I saw these things cuz I thought they took em out... still mad I couldnt pick em up and put em in the tanks, green is my fav color :
I rtoed to beat the game over again, but instead of going through the Grand Reef,i went through the Blood Kelp, and never in a million years would i think i would be able to scan this thing!
Tip of the day: (warning: spoilers) there is lots of lithium in the sparse reef ~250 meters deep near lifepod 17 and there aren't any carnivores (expect bleeders)
Heard of this tiny green shrimp boi, seen these in grassy plateau caves. Also, are you able to scan blood grass. I know there is a PDA about it, but is it obtainable naturally. Edit: y u kill ghost leviathan!
Bacon, I have a question, why are your videos so addicting? I always end up watching your videos and end up losing track of time. I am physically incapable of understanding why time travels so fast when I watch your videos.
I like how they made the rock grubs more intentional in BZ, the rock punchers eat them at least and you can actually pick them up and put them in your aquariums and alien containment!
Seeing as Rock Grubs are also seen in Below Zero (and you can actually grab them even though you can’t eat them), it isn’t even that far fetched to think they might transport some pieces of Enzyme 42 around between the two areas.
I’ve only found one rock grub and I found it at the edge of the map. You extremely underrated you deserve way more subs. !!shadow leviathan just got released in below zero Evan though the is barely any real information on it!!
This thing is my favorite creature in the entire game somehow “Killing them won’t be hard to to their measly 30 health” Yeah, tell that to the one I spawned in my aquarium that escaped
i saw a rock grub before coming out of a rock between the mushroom forest and sand dunes before, but my brother said rock grubs were deleted so i was confused.
Do u think these could live in the void? Also maybe the precursors combined sand shark and floater DNA to make this and with it working they made more and kept them in the destroyed research facility then later after knowing they could combine dna to make things they wanted to try something bigger so the mixed sand shark and biter dna to make the Sand-Bitter (the skeleton in the facility) but then when the facility was destroyed the rock grub could escape bc they were small enough to fit through the broken glass unlike the sand-bitter which is why they lived and it died
@@TheLastBacon it would be cool if you would have to make a special tool or something to harvest a resource that can only be found in backgrubs and is used to make the hatching enzyme or something. That's just an idea though...
