It’s so hard to sing that part because phrased belting is hard and the word “baby”’ is a closed vowel so that makes it even harder to belt, that’s why the note sometimes can sound strained or forced out too. Yes, Celine's performance feels effortless yet powerful. Many of the other singers sound like they're straining by singing through the nose. I think Ariana can do it the way Celine did, I would like to hear her sing it seriously and not for karaoke.
