This song was originally sung by Eric Carmen- I saw Celine Dion sing this live back in the 90s and she made everything stand on end with that note- one of the greatest I've ever heard.
I would say this was originally payed by another famous dude before Carmen was borne.
Only Celine can deliver this song. The others are just hitting the notes right, but they didn't deliver the meassage of the song.

Celine! No other singer brings the emotion she does in this. It’s total desolation. Sure some singers can hit “the note” but no one can deliver the passion, emotion, and soul Celine can!
Others also lack Céline’s raw and powerful vocals on this high note, which makes it really hard to sing, not just deliver a F5 that any soprano can deliver but not with this power.
Lots (especially nowadays) can hit the notes, but geez they lack any emotion. It's all about hitting the notes or screaming, trying to do fancy runs etc. Love Eric Carmen's original, like Michael Ball's version. But it'll always be Celine for me!

I believe "All By Myself" is a song about sadness, not about rage, ahd still the best version is Eric Carmen's (the author). In Celine's version, the "climax" takes you out from the feeling of the song to the virtuosity vocal technique of a singer, but still it's a good choice to compare who sings it best.
I've never thought it was about rage and don't know anyone who did. In Celine's I always feel the passion as she's a passionate singer.

Celine's voice is so dynamic and piercing and emotive on this song. None of these surpassed the original.
wow thank you very much I did like your comments. Majority of the singers in my humble opinion were a bit off (pitch wise) before hitting the F and border line of screaming (non controlled squishing of vocal cords when they are so stretched that barely vibrate). This was very hearable during the middle part before some of them relaxed to vibrato. E flat is much easer to sing so the note was good for e flat. But overall i agree with all you said and I am not a vocal coach just putting my 2 cents into the mix. As for Celine she uses technique to hit this note which is very unique to her but is not that difficult for her. While she is using different technique (in her example she opens up) the example of hitting high note would be rock singers who sing in a very high pitch but do not ruin their cords. They just able to shorten the vibrating part of the cord by squishing from sides so while we think it is hard and difficult they can do it all night long.

Most of them sound like dying cats even if their techniques are good or whatever. Timbre, tone, the way you sound... IS EVERYTHING and is what makes A SUPERSTAR. Nodoby like Celine, Whitney and Mariah in my opinion vocally since they debuted in music industry.

No one can deliver it like Celine, but Leona Lewis’ live version on X factor is a close second for me personally. Too many people tried to imitate Celine, Leona made it her own. Had you included the incredible c6 note after her belt it would’ve made it a bit more clear j how Hers was unique.

Lots of great singers in this video. Thought Katy kinda exposed herself right there. It's okay. Everyone has an off day.
That said, as great as those singers were, none compare to the OG. Celine's vocals on this song will forever be unmatched. She brought control, power and emotion. Though Celine isn't the first to have sung the song, All By My Self will always belong to Celine. She brought that masterpiece to life
