- So the Mini had some issues recently with diesel leaking from the injectors. As a result there was a 'chooking' sound and it just wasn't running right.
I made this video to show what I did in changing the 'O Ring' as this is what was recommended to me. Any questions please fire away. Many thanks :) - Авто та транспорт
I'm about to change the injector seals on my Berlingo 1.6Hdi. I read a tip on a dutch forum; if an injector is stuck, release the allen bolts half a turn and briefly start your car, that should knock the injector loose :)
PrickConjo thanks for the comment. That is an option but as with any easy choice theres a risk. The injector could shoot right out and through the bonnet because they’re very high pressured so if you do it that way just be careful.
I've got pot four leaking gases, so got to the stud heads and guess what. The torx socket anti clockwise and both heads chewed up. The car is 83k FSH. Completely sick. now tapping the suds via the socket with small hammer
Sounds like a ballache. Someone clearly didnt know what they were doing when they put it together. Best of luck buddy
@@houseofcars6998 And that's the problem with the car industry, the service history shows exactly who did the work. The only one not Mini franchise. And to think I was offered £1800 back in Feb to a guy that said it had and injector leak.
@@markjohn4802 wow how annoying! I’m in Dubai now though mate and trust me things are far worse 😞😞
HOLY SHIT! Thanks for uploading this mate! Have the exact same car with the exact same issue -_-
No probs bud hope that fixes it for u
@@houseofcars6998 fingers crossed mate, don't suppose you know the dimensions of the o rings by any chance?
@@SnedzTheBricklayer unfortunately not bud but if u go on realoem and put in ur vin they’ll be able to tell u there i think
So really you should replace the studs for the injector but if your doing it yourself I’d probably not as if they break it’s a much bigger nightmare
The green o ring should be replaced aswell
You can get an airlock in the fuel system which the car will just crank, solution is to loosen the highest injectors fuel pipe and crank then re tighten and it’ll get the air out
Id recommend super injector crack from normfest and give the injectors a spray every so often before you start the job I start about 24 hours before I pull the injectors, make sure it’s the super injector crack (blue top)rather than just there normal injector crack (white top)
Thanks for the video! Having the exact same issue with my Cooper D. Do you know where I can buy the replacement O rings mate? Thanks!
Thanks mate. Hope it helps. I would prob say dealers for that pal.
@@houseofcars6998 Okay thanks bud
my r56d 2007 have same rattle sound, I I understand only cleans injectors whit wd40 good cleaning ?
Thank you very much for your video. I try to fix it myself. I managed to get the injector out, but the O-ring is still in there. Do you have any idea how to get it out?
33InvI no probs. I would normally say try using obviously long with a bent nose at the end but i’m guessing you’ve tried that. Maybe something makeshift like a screwdriver wrapped in tissue so you push through to the bottom? Basically something strong but flexible/soft to get to the bottom of the ring and pull it out? Let me know if i can do anything else for you
Hi
33lvl I used the brass rod from cistern ball valve , hope this helps
Thanks for your answers. I did it with a round file and two little hits with the hammer to make it stuck on the file.
The engine is running again. 👍
Hey, no need to bleed the system? Like what’s that hand fuel pump on top of engine is for?
specjalista88 not sure but i didnt need to pal.
Thanks!
my mini d 07 probably has this problem also, when i start it it works fine fut after it warms (few minutr ride) it starts to run rough and on idle rpm is jumping (around 50 rpm), fan was turning on on 2sec interval. Will see tomorrow.
Hope it helps pal thanks for watching
@@houseofcars6998 interesting, bmw quoted me 3000 euro for replacing 4 injectors XD, i think renewed ones will be ok
@@swd6430 yeah refurbs should be fine pal. Theres a reason why they call them stealers 😂 good luck
@@houseofcars6998 yeah found a guy who has a machine to test them and if one is bad he can repair them. The only problem is if they are burned in, i hope not.
@@swd6430 thats good. Wheres this to? Be worth knowing for people
Goodeo I'm in the process of doing this 🤦♂️got to leaking injectors that have carbon up so bad you cant see any of the engine 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 now that is bad! Gonna need a crowbar to take that out! I’d advise spray a load of wd40 over it after it had a good drive so its hot and then leave it overnight…obvs if it look that bad
Oh no that up and down motion has probably pushed rubbish into your Cylinders good greaf :-(
tony Rigg seems to be running fine for me pal but just dont do it on yours then 👍🏽
