Something I’m still working on is positioning especially in gunfights or responding to callouts. Recharge is a perfect example with all the cross angles you can get across map. I’ve picked this up from watching pros, but understanding other sight lines outside of the guy In front of you. Using cover to block other players line of sight so that you don’t open yourself up to multiple angles. Example your at whirlpool on recharge and someone is top glass or long hall. Position so that you can get damage on that person but other players c plat, control, or maybe even gold pipes has line of sight on you to get shots on you. Isolate your battles as much as possible while helping your teammates. I hope that makes sense if someone gets what I’m saying and can word it better please do so
What you said at the end there is SO important. Isolate battles is so good for turning an instant death into possibly multiple kills. Maps are built so good for angles where you control what fights you take, as long as you choose to use it to your strength! Well put my friend, for sure
I have an idea for a kinda “advanced meta” video you should do featuring what guns work best at what ranges, and how to use those guns at said ranges. And something maybe about getting 3 stars in the weapon drills 🎉
@@AboveAverageCody oh I’ve got lots for you! Here another for easy content I wanna watch from you. Can we tweet you good/bad clips for you to review and break down as to how to get better at the game? Could even make it a patron tier! (Though I’m to poor to support rn besides ideas.)
So recently I started playing 144 fps. I was 60 before. I now know that every frame is a single level up for your skill, as I more than doubled my accuracy and score
This was a good video. The basic not taking 2 v 1s and dipping when you don't get first shot are things I think about frequently but I almost never consider how to use cover. The one major place I do is the tree room in Bazar which works exactly like control in recharge where you can head glitch by going down the stairs. I'll definitely be thinking about how to hug cover the next time I play!
Thank you my man!! And exactly what you said about bazaar, the more places you think about that exact move on every map, the easier the range fights become
Very good video. The high time to kill means you have to be ok with just getting in some damage and dipping. Its under-valued how good it can be just getting shots off on anyone you can see and dipping when you take fire. If you're in proximity to your team often it means they will clean up for you, or the enemy will delay their push to recharge, which is huge in objective. Sometimes if my game is off Ill just follow a teammate everywhere and support them with extra shots. You can get into high diamond just by doing this and having more 2v1's than the enemy. Its a good strat if you have poor teammates that keep rushing in as well. Even with a bad player there really isn't a high enough skill gap to 1v2 in this game unless you have a power weapon or are prepped with a good grenade first. 99% of the time 2 bad players beat one great player. I really think just doing that alone will carry you very far in ranked.
Bruh this was the first Halo game I ever played and I placed high diamond lmaooo coming from a CoD background and playing obj made it a breeze for me. Being able to use the utility/weapons on the map definitely is a plus aswell. I literally was one game away from being Onyx rank before I stopped playing. edit: been playing CoD for 11 years now.
Pretty much how I got going with it! I played like ass the first few games, but fps knowledge just kinda trumps all. Got my sea legs quick and made it to onyx in season 1 easy
One thing id say is when you say back out of a gunfight, should clarify that you should be running back and finding a teammate, to either get a better angle with and support them if they're getting engaged/shooting someone or to meet up with them and push in together/at the same time. I realized i tell my friends that I play with, is that we/they aren't aware how important it is to wait on your teammates to spawn in and figure out the best way to push forward/defend or do whatever objective mode you're playing. People dont know how to play objective correctly and how to rotate/when to rotate, when to pull flag, when to die for a touch or when to stay alive to get help doing a pull/return.
I know all these I just don’t do them and it shows. It’s pretty common for me to have the most damage dealt but also most damage taken in games. I need to play my life better
Noticed my aim has become much worse over the past month or so. Good positioning will definitely take you from a low to high diamond - lots of people just rely on their aim.
Amazing video as always, Cody. Not forced and staying true to yourself. Can you share some tips to run away from a enemy chase? This game doesn't allow you to run from enemies alive and fight another day.
Here is how to be better, Do what everyone including this guy does. Play on a console because it uses aim assist and makes it 100X easier because the game does half the aiming for you.
Awesome info. Thanks for the masterclass!
Much love bro! Glad you enjoyed it

Fantastic ideas bro!! Keep them coming, I’ve done so many vids it gets hard to keep things fresh for the long time followers

Like You could help bronze get to silver, silver to gold, gold to plat and so on with “clip tips”

Thanks for this. I have to keep these tips in mind... I've gotten into the habit of playing for trades and being out in the open.
Literally such a hard habit to break! I still struggle with this but getting better
i feel like left stick aiming makes it difficult to use cover properly

Much love bro!! Getting to this comment late but we holding it down for when the masses return🔥

struggling with strafing and aiming when people are jumping. I can track people that strafe too now but moment they start jumping i cant keep track

Thanks so much!! And definitely a great vid idea to add onto some advanced vids. I’ll
Def throw it in the mix!
I'd love to live up more if i didn't die behind a wall so much
Eeeeeeee this does happen a lot a lot😤
What’s your crosshair numbers so I can customize mine
It would be great not taking splash damage from a grenade every second but good tips though
This so happen a lot😭😂 but ty brotha
Awesome video, very helpful
Glad to hear it my friend!!
Very informative 🔥
I'm so bad at Halo. Placed silver 4. Granted I'm only about 30 games in. Coming from CoD the mechanics are quite foreign to me.
Why does my controller feel weird when I play halo, only been since winter update, like my sensitivity feels off
Like with the br? Or just I general? I haven’t noticed much, but many people have trouble finishing kills now since the br adjustments
@@AboveAverageCody with the BR feels weird
Cool tips, let’s go 1v1 on recharge
Another one wanting the chall
What rank are you?

@@AboveAverageCody all good homie, hit me up tho

watch behind the curls. long live ryannoob for the best halo content
This was pretty not high level no offense
No offense taken, I’m not a pro but sure this helped some lower level people
I have never hear someone say "such that" so many times in a video.....😶🫥
And? Is this like a roast or something? Lol
