    Tom your work is beyond fantastic !! Your capture of expression and poses are amazing.
    As a Duck Hunter myself ( not so much as in years past). I appreciate your all-around love of waterfowl. Whether it's in ' The Blind' or in ' The Studio'.
    You're certainly a pleasure to watch, as I've dabbled, in carving and painting. Here in SW Ontario Canada.
    Cheer On !! Dave

    You really can make the duck come to life. You do beautiful work.
    I wanted to tell you I saw one of your decoys from 1989 for sale last week on one of the auction or decoy broker sites. It was a widgeon, and it was nice!

    I didn't get what color you used on the eye lid.. Thanks for this video

      I use white gesso with a little burnt umber and a touch of black for a light gray value for the eyelid.

    What color are you using for the dark base coat on the head?

    • @tomchristieart
      @tomchristieart  3 місяці тому +1

      Phthalo Green darkened with a small amount of Carbon Black.

      @@tomchristieart Thanks Tom... I see the Phthalio Green at the beginning being sprayed on the dark/black color. Is that what you are talking about... or is the base a solid black'ish color?

    • @tomchristieart
      @tomchristieart  3 місяці тому +1

      The base color is a mix of Phthalo Green darkened with Carbon Black and the the airbrush colors go on top of that.

    Looks good, but I can't hear a word you're saying. Probably just too noisy here.

      I checked and the sound is working Dale. Not sure why you couldn’t hear it.
