      Yeah, disconnect condenser first because it’s in front of radiator.

    Gerb!As always thanks for your documentation and detail and torque specs you are my manual you saved my hide again I’ve got a slow leak in mine rock hit it just paid a shop $180 to do leak test vac down and refill 2 weeks and it’s already hot air again but they did the leak due so found the problem will fix myself only reason I had them do it I was in vacay and a massive road trip and a/c wasn’t getting it done they couldn’t find the leak of course... they did replace the Schrader valves o rings ....never stop wrenching plz keep the vids coming I bought this car 6 wks ago and have watched almost all your content ...thx

      Where did you get the specs for the PAG oil ? Some folks are telling me its only in the Condenser ?

      I had mine vac’d down and I’m not seeing any oil in the condenser and the same guys are hoping to recharge it after installed so perhaps they oil it up as well ?

      Gerb Productions true shit. I try to replace everything with the original supplier’s parts (not from Honda), and if I can’t do that, I usually get the part from another OEM supplier.

      +Active EJ That's what I'm saying... Only reason I want to re install my bumper is because I don't want a rock hitting my brand new condenser and causing a leak. These cars must look so nasty with an intercooler on the front 👌🏼

      Ac compressor almost shit out on me man... Pretty sure the clutch or bearing was on it's way out.

    Yo so I took the bolt out of the ac condenser and guess it snapped in side like yours and a loud pop and mad stuff started spraying out. Now what Lmfaoo. Think it’d be good if I just refill it?

      I'd refill it very little, see what happens. If it doesn't hold anything, try replacing o-ring's or you may need a new condenser if it's damaged

      Gerb Productions it's fine, I had to modify the top mounting points by filing it down to be able to bolt it on. So much for "first time fit" lol..i thought that mine was leaking too so I just tried to remove it without getting the refrigerant evacuated.. big mistake - it covered me full force in oil and refrigerant.

      Pag 46 oil and about 2.5-3 oz of pag in the condenser. The whole system requires like 5.5oz of pag, compressor has 2.5-3oz of pag in it already.

    Yo, I've been watching videos on wrinkle painting valve covers, you should check it out too. Looks hecka easy to do! I just barely started on my Civic. Bumper is now off and my bumper impact frame right there on the front is bent in! Hahahaha... I rear ended this couple on my way down a mountain one day but it didn't do any damage to there vehicle because my license plate pretty much hit straight and matched up with their license plate. It was crazy! Traffic and then my brakes were bad so they didn't stop in time and then BOOM! HIT! Anyways, I'm probably going to wrinkle paint my valve cover. JDM Red!

    mine still has full of refrigerant, but i think it's clogged. pressure on L when a/c on is about 20, but it's like 100 when it's off. how can i remove the refrigerant fluid first?

      Bring it to a shop, have them remove the refrigerant.

      Can’t answer the first question man. As far as o rings go, type in on eBay, ac condenser o rings kit or something. Should pop up with some options. Did you snap a 10mm or just need new bolts?

      Any o ring pack should be universal man. Mine came with the ac compressor that I ordered, so I got lucky.

    Maybe I don't understand how the A/C system works. Don't you have to recharge the R-134 after opening the system like this?

      You have recover system then add nitrogen to pressure test it and add dye. Then use a vacccum pump to remove any moisture in the system then add pag oil and charge system. There are several steps needed after this is done.

      Condenser could have a leak in it. I’d try replacing condenser then recharging the system, see what happens. Good luck bro 🔧

      No, but i could see the leak on the lower part of my condenser. Then i added refrigerant & it was pissing out of that spot.

      Pag oil is used to lubricate the compressor, condenser, etc.

      Gerb Productions I just bought mine from CariD.com. I couldn't wait any longer. Major major tune up is going to happen to my Civic. Here's what I'm replacing; Alternator, condenser, thermostat, water pump, front bumper, hood (maybe), head lights, head lamps, intake, and new wheels. Also, major major part I am doing is the paint. I will link a video of everything I am doing before I start the process. Mad props to you.

      Gerb Productions it depends on my paint. If I stick with the original paint (Nighthawk pearl black) or get a totally different paint then that will be the deciding factor. Right now, I'm rocking these motegi's with red lip trim.
