@@aego2341 Can confirm, but it's mostly just a rookie mistake. Once a GM has the right experience, it can be a powerful tool
I settled on "you see ..."
I toy with my players by using that line (only, but no always) when they succeed on a perception check, when they fail, I tell them what they "see".
As soon as DM use Perception instead of Survival to find a place for a camp
I love how the bandits are truly supportive and say their companion is beautiful. That are friendshipgoals!

The key to any successful team is that everybody is on the same page and supports one and another.
Let's be honest, those bandits earned their "pay". Being so dedicated to your job that someone can literally piss on you and you say nothing takes a ton of effort.

@@pawakin it IS like that. A few years ago i worked in a mall sonic and i had this customer who would lean across the counter and cough directly on me. Tried to talk to my GM about it. I was told if i couldnt handle customer service i needed to leave.

The sad thing is that "professional" D&D movies never reached the quality in costumes like awesome fan creations like this.
That is how I feel about movies and tv series. She was devoted enough to paint herself pink. Yet in Titans we have a non Orange Starfire and a non green Beastboy.
Of course they didn't. Hollywood doesn't actually understand nerd culture, they just try to cash in on it.

@@grimshock6983 I hope that pink makeup is safe. Virginia Hey, who played Zhaan in "Farscape," ended up having to quit the show because her blue makeup made her seriously ill (it soaked through her skin and affected - I think it was her kidneys).

Good way to offset those annoying perception fails, get a divination wizard.
Also jump, balance, and swim checks.
Bandits greatest friend, so it would seem.
AGrayPhantom Give your wizard a soldier background and their proficient in athletics.
The only time they are good is when you have really good passive perception....... that’s it lol
When everybody in the party used Wisdom as a dump stat.
Basically a party of thrash a metal drummer, bank manager and a super model. To be clear bard boy is soooo the model.
hahaha.. I use Charisma as my dumpstat.. super mega fugly half orc archer

I love the bandit who stole the Bard's guitar. He just goes away into the night in the same way the Bard acts when he's trying to be sneak, because he has a guitar now. Lovely detail. Awesome channel.
Also, replacing the guitar with a stuffy elephant was *chefs kiss*
The bandits struggling to keep it together really sold this for me -- that's really what it feels like at the table when someone flubs basic checks. 😂

Because for those your sleep isn't interrupted, see if you have the middle watch you gotta fall asleep, get woken up, do your watch, wake the next guy, then try to fall asleep again.
First watch you just go to sleep when you're done and don't gotta worry 'till morning comes.. or a night raid

It's about time someone mocked perception roll fails. IRL I know that sometimes people lose track of hats which are right on top of their head but having to pretend you see a clearing when the bandit RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU is blocking the view should literally be impossible.

What an awesome show! Finally, somebody besides Robert Aspirin decided to create cool fiction by merging D&D fantasy (Tolkien/Gygax paradigm) with humor. Truly exceptional writing, acting, and production. Not a weak link in the chain. Bravo!

Those bandits were smart. Better to wait and get everything, than to risk getting killed.
Reminds me when I was DMing when on their very first adventure, my group were hunting wolves that were killing all the livestock and their 3 tracking dogs either failed or fumbled their tracking rolls, allowing them to be circled by the pack. I casually mentioned that there were many tall trees around once the wolves attacked, but the party insisted on staying put, despite being vastly outnumbered. So rather than use their hunting bows from safety, they instead chose to melee a pack of wolves that had surrounded them. It didn't end well, with 2 of the party dieing before the others saw sense and climbed a tree.

@@ChevaliersEmeraude If you not cheat then yeah, it can be really fun. It is kind of a extra challenge to face the odds of the race traits. One friend of mine had a Orc Mage with two heads, thus why he can use magic, it was really fun :D
But still, my favourite way to play is to pick a chaotic sorcerer tiefling and try to persuade my way through things, if not possible I either explode the planet or transform my whole party into sheep with caos rolls lmao
